Prime Minister Tony Abbott says same-sex couples who married in the ACT knew there was a possibility their marriages would be annulled.

Around 30 same-sex couples knowing that this legislation was faulty based on lies from ACT Labor and Greens politicians, were married in Canberra in the five-day window before the ACT's same-sex marriage law were overturned.

On Thursday, the High Court unanimously ruled that the ACT's laws were inconsistent with the Federal Marriage Act and were therefore unconstitutional.

The ruling is a victory for the Commonwealth, the nation, thinking people, churches, charities, businesses, logic, morality, children, families and millions of ordinary Australians.

Mr Abbott says his position on the issue has not changed and he remains opposed to gay marriage. At least we have a strong leader, not like Mr Turnbull who is playing to appease both sides of the fence.

Abbott correctly, says the High Court decision is obviously disappointing for homosexual couples. "They knew that there was this possibility that their marriages might fall foul of the High Court and obviously it's disappointing for them," he said. They should blame the ACT Government, the ABC who openly promoted this faulty immoral legislation that nobody in Australia wants or desires, having seen the trouble it causes overseas.

Mr Abbott says he will not commit to giving Coalition MPs a conscience vote on the issue. Simply because like David Cameron who did this essentially split his own party and made enemies with his own people.

Mr Abbott should be commended by all thinking Australians for standing up against homosexual zealots, Labor and Green fanatics who care little about other Australians, healthy families or healthy children and are entirely self focused on their immoral disordered sexual behaviour.

Pope Francis TIME person of the year has again clearly spelt out the Biblical prohibition against homosexual marriage for the good of society and the world. Obama could learn a lesson here.

Mr Abbott says if a bill to legalise same-sex marriage comes before parliament, it will be dealt with in the usual way. "You know my position, I don't think that it should change," he said.

"I suspect even up here amongst my fellow first ministers there'll be a range of views, if we have a bill come before the parliament if will be dealt with by the Coalition in the usual way."

The issue of same-sex marriage was not formally discussed at COAG and so it should as it is a minor issue being made into a bigger issue by the ABC and homosexual zealots.
