Parents pull children out of pro-LGBT school. Now they’re getting hate mail

ISLE OF WIGHT, England  — The UK parents who pulled their two young sons from a Church of England school because of a government-funded push to normalize “ transgenderism ” have faced continued contempt for speaking out. Nigel and Sally Rowe have received hate mail and been the subject of intense public criticism since voicing their concerns publicly. Sally Rowe said she is “scared stiff” from the campaign of hate being conducted against them, the  Daily Mail   reported , and she is terrified for her family’s safety. “This transgender agenda is almost like a trendy thing that’s infiltrating schools, and if you don’t subscribe to it you are a bully,” Sally said. “The hatred we’ve received is ... is … ” Struggling to get her words out, she said, “This is painful for us, really painful. We’ve been so churned up. This is our community, our friends and now ... now … ” Sally Rowe’s phone has chimed with nasty texts in the wake of the couple going public and br...

Alberta gov’t under fire for linking to groups pushing graphic gay sex sites

Children's advocates in Alberta are calling foul after finding the Alberta government linking to organizations that promote websites with graphic sex content. Until this week, within just two clicks from a government-sponsored site, children could find a video showing a naked man tied to a bed being whipped vigorously. Exploring the government-funded  Alberta Gay Straight Alliance Network  website, Theresa Ng of the  Informed Albertans  blog found links to groups such as Fruit Loop that linked to graphic sexual sites. Fruit Loop is an Edmonton LGBTQ + arts and entertainment site that invites followers to submit their own posts. These include, Ng discovered, “images of naked men being flogged and restrained” with tips on where to buy restraints and how to use them.  Fruit Loop also links to a how-to article about masturbation. “Your child is even advised to ‘pay for porn’ and ‘visit a group masturbation night at your local sex club,’” Ng sa...

Charlotte schools tell staff: Don’t call students ‘boy’ or ‘girl’

A North Carolina school board has issued recommendations for faculty and staff to stop calling male children "boys" and female students "girls." The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools gave a presentation to principals and counselors entitled “Supporting Transgender Students” that focused on "bully prevention." Among the various means of preventing bullying is eliminating all references to boys or girls. Instead, the policy instructs staff to call boys and girls "students" or "scholars." The presentation explained a new set of guidelines for faculty and staff to follow regarding transgender students. For instance, teachers will be required to "work with students" to help them determine their sexual orientation. The new guidelines clearly consider student privacy a priority over parental rights. If a child decides s/he is the opposite sex, parents are not necessarily to be told. "A student’s transgender status is c...

Grade 3 teacher ignores parents and teaches about gay sex

A North Carolina elementary school teacher has resigned after his decision to read a gay-themed children’s book to his third-grade class led to controversy in the small town of Efland. Omar Currie said he read his students the book “King and King,” a fairy tale about two princes having a “love” encounter, after he perceived negative gay stereotyping in his class. Currie said that he was inspired to teach the little kids about two men “hooking up” because a boy in his class acted a little feminine. “When I read the story, the reaction of parents didn’t come into my mind,” Currie, 25, said Tuesday . “In that moment, it just seemed natural to me to read the book and have a conversation about treating people with respect. My focus then was on the child, and helping the child.” The thought that the child just acted feminine could have just stayed as it is. A thought. Some kids act different than others. But this teacher overstepped his bounds and pushed an idea into the under-aged child’s ...
