Doctor Slams Trans Study That Claims Using Preferred Names Reduces Depression, Suicide

Image
New research published in the Journal of Adolescent Health by scholars at the University of Texas purports to show that the more transgender youth are called by their preferred name in society, it lowers their risk of suicide and depression. However, a top pediatrician denounced the research as "meaningless" and leading to "false" conclusions. "Do not be fooled. This recent study, like all trans youth studies before it, is political agenda masquerading as science," Dr. Michelle Cretella, president of the American College of Pediatricians , which publicly opposes gender transition procedures and treatments for children, told The Christian Post . "As is customary of all trans youth research, this is a woefully small study that is not at all representative of children who self-identify as transgender nationwide. Consequently, the statistics derived from it are meaningless and the conclusions false." The study , conducted by Stephen T. Ru...

Is Sexual Orientation Immutable? The Science May Surprise You.

Image
One of the most common and effective claims for LGBT rights is that people are born with an immutable, permanent sexual orientation. In our recent dialogue on the Bible and Homosexuality , Matthew Vines argued that the 20th century discovery of sexual orientation is akin to Galileo’s discovery of the telescope. For the first 1,600 years of the church, according to Vines, virtually all Christians believed the earth stood at the center of the universe. But Galileo’s discovery led Christians to reconsider their interpretation. Similarly, the modern discovery of sexual orientation should lead Christians to reinterpret Scriptural prohibitions of same-sex sexual relationships. The idea that sexual orientation is immutable has been proclaimed so frequently, and so loudly, few people have slowed down to ask a simple question: What does the science actually reveal? The answer might surprise you. Science and Sexual Orientation Leading scholars have challenged the “immutability” claim. Bu...

No homosexual marriage - NO two scoops of the same ice cream

Image
In a show of support for immoral homosexual marriage , one of the world’s most recognized ice-cream brands is imposing a harsh ban for its shops in Australia . Or to put it another a refusal of service. Or to put it another way force you to acknowledge immoral homosexuality through their ice cream prank. Or to put it another way - to treat their customers with no respect - but to show complete intolerance of other views. Ben & Jerry’s ice cream brand says it will refuse to sell two scoops of the same flavor in Australia until the country’s marriage law is reformed to give gays and lesbians the right to marry. It isn’t the first time the company has waded into the political fray. How offensive and manipulative. Guess I won't go to their shop again!

Methodist High Court Rejects First Openly Gay Bishop’s Consecration

Image
The United Methodist Church ’s highest court has ruled that the consecration of its first openly gay bishop violated church law , compounding a bitter rift over the sin of homosexuality that has brought the 13-million-member denomination to the brink of schism. This would be a good thing. In a 6-to-3 vote made public on Friday, the church’s Judicial Council found that a married lesbian bishop and those who consecrated her were in violation of their “commitment to abide by and uphold the church’s definition of marriage and stance on homosexuality.” Still, the court ruled that the bishop, Karen P. Oliveto of Denver, “remains in good standing” pending further proceedings , offering her supporters a glimmer of hope. But it also raised the prospect of a suspension or forced retirement. HOMOSEXUAL LESBIAN BISHOP IS IN GOOD STANDING ? THE DEFINITION OF GOOD IS NOT BIBLICAL AT ALL “Under the longstanding principle of legality, no individual member or entity may violate, ignore or ne...

Same-Sex Marriage as a Civil Right — Are Wrongs Rights?

Image
In After the Ball: How America Will Conquer its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90s, authors Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen argued that efforts to normalize homosexuality and homosexual relationships would fail unless their movement shifted its argument to a demand for civil rights, rather than for moral acceptance. Kirk and Madsen argued that homosexual activists and their allies should avoid talking about sex and sexuality. Instead, “the imagery of sex per se should be downplayed, and the issue of gay rights reduced, as far as possible, to an abstract social question.” Beyond Kirk and Madsen and their public relations strategy, an even more effective legal strategy was developed along the same lines. Legal theorists and litigators began to argue that homosexuals were a class of citizens denied basic civil liberties, and that the courts should declare them to be a protected class, using civil rights precedents to force a moral and legal revolution. That revolution has happened, a...

Broussard, Bigotry, and the NBA

Image
The criticism of Broussard is totally unwarranted After watching Broussard’s remarks with my wife, I turned to her and said, “That was strong.” All he did was to confess what the Bible teaches about sexual morality and about what God requires of every Christian—obedience ( 1 John 2:4). It was a clearer word than what you would hear in many pulpits. It was biblical. It was faithful. It was courageous. After the news broke earlier today that Jason Collins has come out as the first openly gay player in the NBA, I didn’t really plan to comment. But that all changed after watching Chris Broussard ’s commentary for ESPN . After Collins’ announcement appeared, all the sports shows were abuzz with the news. ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” hosted a discussion between two sportswriters: the openly gay LZ Granderson and the Christian Chris Broussard. The long and short of it is this. Jason Collins still claims to be a Christian even though he is openly gay. ESPN asked Broussard to comment ...

Gay is not the new black

Image
English: Gender symbols, sexual orientation: heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality. Česky: (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The first problem with the idea of conflating “ sexual orientation ” and race is the fact that homosexuality is undetectable apart from self-identification . Determining whether or not a person is black, indigenous Australian or Native American , or female usually involves no more than visual verification. However, should doubt remain, blood tests , genetics, or a quick trip up the family tree would suffice. Not so with homosexuality. There is no evidence that can confirm or deny a person's claims regarding sexual orientation. The homosexual community itself has made this identification even more complicated in an effort to distance itself from those whose same-sex behavior they find undesirable. They say pedophiles are not homosexuals!” This is the consistent refrain coming from the homosexual community, media, academia, and the psychological/medical es...

How to loose your job - Facebook a comment against LGBT agenda

Image
SOMERVILLE, NJ , – A Catholic school has decided not to rehire a  theology teacher who rejected the argument in favor of gay “marriage” on her private Facebook page , her family has announced. The controversy began last week after a student found a Facebook post by Patricia Jannuzzi, a 57-year-old theology teacher at Immaculata High School in Somerville, New Jersey. In it, Jannuzzi said that advocates of redefining marriage argue that they “are born this way and it is not a choice, to get 14th amendment rights equal protection” – which was intended for “unchangeable characteristics such as race and disability.” Then, “they will argue everyone should be able to choose” to engage in the homosexual lifestyle. The former student, Scott Lyons, a homosexual who says he is “married” to another man, posted a message branding Jannuzzi's views as “extreme.” His aunt, actress Susan Sarandon, reposted it and it went viral, spawning a petition to the school administration on Chang...

References to Sodom in Ezekiel 16 speak about homosexual acts

Image
Sodom and Gomorrha, Alte Pinakothek, Room 23 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) To understand how the destruction of Sodom was interpreted later, we must turn to Ezekiel ’s reference. According to the revisionist view, Ezekiel 16 lists the sins of Sodom categorically and finds them less serious than the sexual sins of Jerusalem . Revisionists point to verses 48–49. There, they say, we find that Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, idleness, and neglect (or, according to Edwards, oppression) of the poor and needy.68 The passage does not mention homosexuality. However, Boswell and Bailey and others interpret these two verses incorrectly because they fail to consider their context, especially verse 50.69 In the passage, Ezekiel compares Jerusalem with her two sisters, the elder Samaria and the younger Sodom. He finds that Jerusalem, is worse than either of the others (note 16:47–52). Sodom obviously is a figurative term here, probably a reference to Judah as a whole.70 Ezekiel 16:2 sets forth ...

Homosexual activist says gay ‘marriage’ isn’t about equality, it’s about destroying marriage

Image
Conservative pundits are saying that a homosexual activist exposed the hidden agenda behind homosexual “marriage” when she told an audience that the movement is not seeking equality but rather a total dismantling of the institution of marriage itself. Masha Gessen , a journalist and author who campaigns for homosexual 'rights', made the comments in Australia on a panel at the Sydney Writer’s Festival. She said: It’s a no-brainer that (homosexual activists) should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist. …(F)ighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we are going to do with marriage when we get there — because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie. The institution of marriage is going to change, and it should change. And again, I don’t think it should exist. And I don’t like taking part in creating fictions about my ...
