Rome rally against homosexual marriage Pope Francis has told the Church to say sorry to gay and lesbian people, and any others that feel marginalised by the Church. Fair enough . He was asked on Sunday whether he agreed with one of his top advisers, German Cardinal Reinhard Marx, who told a conference in Dublin in the days after the deadly Orlando gay club attack that the church owed an apology to gay and lesbian people for having marginalised them. This question ignores the new information that Orlando was gay on gay revenge. The apology could be - Catholics are not sharing the truth about the sin of homosexuality. That is worth an apology. By not doing so, Catholics are condemning people to a lifestyle of sin, brokeness and spiritual confusion.
