‘You can’t win without gay players,’ Megan Rapinoe

Megan Rapinoe showed no sign of stemming her outspoken mistaken and arrogant ways after scoring the goals that saw USA march one step closer towards the World Cup final. “Go gays!” she said after the 2-1 quarter-final victory over France in Paris and when asked to comment on whether it being Pride month made her contribution more personally significant.  “You can’t win a championship without gays on your team - it’s never been done before, ever. That’s science, right there! That's where the LGBT movement wants to go - domination in every area of life. Arrogant! “I’m motivated by people who like me, who are fighting for the same things. I take more energy from that than from trying to prove anyone wrong. That’s draining on yourself. But for me, to be gay and fabulous, during Pride month at the World Cup, is nice.” The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1–13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26–...

LGBT culture war intensifies following the Nashville Statement

Image
If you haven’t heard about the “ Nashville Statement ”—a document created by the Coalition for Biblical Sexuality and originally signed by more than 150 evangelical and church leaders—then you are unaware of the latest battle in the culture war being fought between LGBT extremists and those who believe in traditional biblical morality. The Nashville Statement is a basic declaration of Christian orthodoxy on sexual morality, sexual orientation, and sexual identity. In the words of National Review Senior Writer David French , an original signatory of the document, the 14 articles it includes can be boiled down to a simple statement: We believe the Bible is the word of God , and the word of God declares that sexual intimacy is reserved for the lifelong union of a man and a woman in marriage. It acknowledges the reality of same-sex attraction as well as the reality of transgender self-conceptions, but denies that God sanctions same-sex sexual activity or a transgendered self-concept...

Australian Christian Lobby: Takes aim at Labor and says Coalition may allow denial of goods and services to gay weddings

The Turnbull government has refused to rule out new exemptions to anti-discrimination law to allow religious objectors to refuse to provide goods and services to gay weddings, Christian schools, Christian charities, camp sites, ministries, aged care etc. The Australian Christian Lobby claims the Turnbull government is open to a new exemption. The ACL has released a voting guide that takes aim at Labor’s promise to hold a parliamentary vote on same-sex marriage. It had distributed 67,000 copies of the guide to churches and supporters. The guide claims “there is no discrimination in Australian law against same-sex attracted people”. In its response to the ACL questionnaire used to compile the voting guide, the Liberals ruled out suspending commonwealth anti-discrimination laws in the lead-up to the same-sex marriage plebiscite. State and territory laws were a matter for those governments, it said. The managing director of the ACL, Lyle Shelton, told Guardian Australia it was “di...

Australia: Supporters of traditional marriage now bigots and haters?

Image
It is not 'homophobic' to believe that marriage is between one man and one woman and to wish to have the freedom to say this out loud, according to the Australian Christian Lobby. ACL Managing Director Lyle Shelton said Opposition Leader Bill Shorten was insulting the intelligence of millions of his fellow Australians by saying a people's vote on redefining marriage would unleash 'homophobia'. "It is unbecoming of someone aspiring to lead our nation to effectively bully his fellow Australians into silence by labelling them 'homophobes',” Mr Shelton said. "There are big consequences to changing the definition of marriage that have nothing to do with homophobia. "We should be allowed to debate these consequences without emotional blackmail being used to silence debate. "There are legitimate ethical issues associated with deliberately denying children the love and nurture of their biological mother or father. "Many Aus...

Why is homosexuality wrong?

Image
EVERY PERSON COMES TO THE matter of homosexuality with an established opinion, which has been shaped by a worldview. By worldview I mean a person’s concept of self, the world, and everything else. Every worldview encompasses what one views as real, the nature of truth, how we come to know what is true, and how we define what is “good” in an ethical sense. One’s worldview determines whether homosexuality is perceived as right or wrong. My own worldview is founded upon my confidence in the existence of a creating and governing God . This God has spoken or communicated both in general revelation through the created order and in the special revelations of Scripture and His Son, Jesus Christ . General revelation includes the complexity of the design and creation of the human body, the awareness of the spiritual self and conscience, and the unfolding of a plan that is shown through history. Reality encompasses both seen and unseen dimensions, the earthly and the heavenly. Jesus Chris...
