‘It’s absurd’: Rand Paul blasts Kim Davis’ jailing over gay ‘marriage’

Image
Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis has been arrested and taken to jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples this afternoon. After repeatedly refusing to give such a license to gays and lesbians, a federal judge found her in contempt of court and sentenced her to jail time rather than assessing a fine.  As she was escorted out of the courtroom to jail, homosexuals began chanting, "Love won! Love won!"  As the scene played out, her U.S. senator, Republican presidential hopeful Rand Paul , said the decision was unwarranted, violated religious liberty, and would further polarize the country on the issue of same-sex "marriage." "I think it's absurd to put someone in jail for exercising their religious liberty," Sen. Paul, R- KY , told CNN. "If you want to convince people that same-sex 'marriage' is something that's acceptable I would say try to persuade people" instead of using state force. He also warned...

Will the Duck Dynasty controversy awaken people to the homofascist intolerant juggernaut?

Image
The gay bullying and intimidation deployed against Duck Dynasty ’s Phil Robertson is nothing new to the ex-gay community. For too long in this country, gay rights organizations have incorporated ex-gay bashing as an integral part of their mission. Christian ex-gays are ridiculed for their faith, while people seeking therapy for unwanted same-sex attractions are painted as dangerously delusional. On this one-way street of intolerance, former homosexuals are accused of being liars or fakes while transgenders are celebrated for changing their gender identity. Using their political power and mainstream media support, gay activists work to keep ex-gays in the closet while demanding legal recognition of single-sex marriage as an equal right. This well-organized and heavily-funded bullying of former homosexuals and ex-gay speech is known by the ex-gay community as ‘homofascism.’  Like Phil Robertson, ex-gays are subjected to demands that they apologize for their existence an...

New York senator Alesi plays loose with the truth after voting for gay ‘marriage’

Image
Image via Wikipedia Confused State Senator Jim Alesi who is a universalist told a crowd gathered to celebrate the passage of same-sex “marriage” in New York that his priest embraced him and gave him Holy Communion when he attended Mass after voting to pass the legislation. The event at which the senator spoke was sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign , and took place in Manhattan four days after the New York Senate voted to legalize same-sex “marriage.” After taking the microphone to loud applause and shouting, Alesi told the revelers, “that’s exactly what it sounded like when I went to Mass Sunday.” “I went to Mass Sunday in my church and I was so warmly received. It doesn’t matter what religion you are, but I know in my religion, when I went up to receive Communion , my priest embraced me,” he said. Unrepentant people taking communion according to scripture, bring condemnation from God. Alesi represents the 55th District of New York, which is in the Diocese of Rochester . ...

New York gay rights fundraiser, Obama stops short of endorsing gay ‘marriage’

Image
Image via Wikipedia Obama’s message to gay activists in New York may not have been as straightforward or bold as some would have liked, but the president did deliver an extended wink and nudge to those pressuring him to support gay “marriage” on the federal level. Joking that “I understand there’s a little debate going on here,” Obama addressed a Manhattan gay rights fundraiser gala the president himself hosted Thursday.  About six hundred guests were in attendance, reportedly at a cost of up to $35,800 per ticket. New York is currently on the brink of a vote about whether to extend legal marriage to homosexual couples. The GOP ’s lengthy delay in deciding whether or not to allow the bill to come up for a vote has kept tension high in the state for several days. The fate of the bill reportedly depends on winning just one more vote in the Republican-controlled Senate. At the event Obama lauded the “progress” he has made on the gay rights agenda, but defended himself against...

Arguments supporting Gays used to support incest

Image
Image via Wikipedia There are certain questions now pressed upon us that previous generations would never believe could be asked. One of these is thrust upon us by events in New York City , where a well-known Ivy League professor has been arrested for the crime of incest . What makes the question urgent is not so much the arrest, but the controversy surrounding it. David Epstein is a professor of political science at Columbia University , where his wife also teaches. He previously taught on the faculties of Harvard and Stanford. Last week, he was arraigned before a judge in Manhattan , charged with a single count of felony incest. According to authorities, Professor Epstein was for several years involved in a sexual relationship with his adult daughter, now age 24. Though the story was ignored by much of the mainstream media, it quickly found its way into the cultural conversation. William Saletan of Slate.com, who remains one of today’s most relevant writers working on the issue...
