The Pope said - God made gays

Image
According to an article in  El Pais ,  Spain ’s largest newspaper, Pope Francis told a male sex abuse victim: “ God made you gay.” The comments were allegedly made during a meeting between Pope Francis and the victims of Chilean Catholic sex-offender priest Fernando Karadima . One of the men abused by the priest, former seminarian  Juan Carlos Cruz , described his meeting with Pope Francis. Jesuit priest James Martin posted a link to the interview on his social media accounts which included a translation of one comment made by the Pope to Cruz: James Martin, SJ ✔ @JamesMartinSJ 20 May Pope Francis: "God made you gay." https:// infovaticana.com/2018/05/19/cru z-asegura-papa-le-dijo-dios-te-gay/  … James Martin, SJ ✔ @JamesMartinSJ "Juan Carlos, that you are gay does not matter. God made you like that and he loves you like that, and I do not care. The Pope wants you like that, you have to be happy with who you ...

Why it’s impossible for the Catholic Church to bless homosexuals as a ‘couple’

Image
Under the overall leadership of Pope Francis , the Catholic Church these days appears to  wallow in terminal confusion and self-contradiction.    One day we read that  “A French priest has announced in a televised interview that Pope Francis approves of his blessing of homosexual couples.”   On the same day comes the report that :  The newly-installed bishop of the Portuguese city of Porto, Manuel Linda, appeared to reject that Catholic doctrine that divorced and invalidly remarried Catholics should abstain from sexual intercourse .  He stated in a recent interview, “I’m convinced that it isn’t really a family: if they do so. Both clerics featured in these reports appear to be well and favorably known to the Vatican .  Both take stands that conflict with longstanding Church doctrine. But in doing so, they also contradict and refute one another. For if there is no family without sexual intercourse, what sense does it make to bless, ...

Priest speaks out against diocese’s controversial ‘transgender’ school policy

Image
The Catholic Diocese of Jefferson City, Missouri , is opening a can of worms that  contradicts Church teaching  and sends the wrong message with its  proposed policy  encouraging enrollment of “ transgender ” students at its schools, one of its priests said. The diocese ’s  Pastoral Process of Accompaniment and Dialogue invites people who actively promote gender confusion or the homosexual lifestyle to test the policy, the priest said, and gives undue credence to those living in objectively sinful or disordered situations. The policy also demonstrates an allegiance to political correctness and liberal ideology, he continued, and also shows there is too much homosexuality in Church leadership today, whether it’s bishops who are gay-friendly or who themselves are homosexual. “I think the whole gender ideology and transgender issue is false,” Father Richard Frank said. “It’s falsehood. And it really contradicts what the Church teaches. It’s kind ...

James Martin’s Vatican appointment will only embolden LGBT activists

Image
Fr. James Martin , SJ, editor-at-large for the Jesuit magazine  America , has made the headlines twice this past week.   First,  top Vatican and US church officials backed his forthcoming gay-friendly book ,  Building A Bridge: How the Catholic Church and the LGBT Community Can Enter into a Relationship of Respect, Compassion, and Sensitivity . Then in an unforeseen move, the  Vatican named Fr. Martin as a communications consultant  to the Holy See’s  Secretariat for Communications .   Several months preceding all this, Fr. Martin received an award from the LGBT group, New Ways Ministry , a group previously condemned for representing itself as a Catholic organization.  His  acceptance speech  became the broad outline for his new book.  In fact, the name of the award he received is,  New Ways Ministry’s Bridge Building Award . Catholic dissident, Sister Jeannine Gramick , co-founder of New Ways Ministry, lea...

Pope: gender theory and divorce are waging a 'global war' on marriage and families

Image
Pope Francis warned on Saturday of a " global war " against traditional marriage and the family, saying both were under attack from gender theory and divorce . Francis made his comments in an impromptu response to a question at a meeting of the small Catholic community in the ex- Soviet republic of Georgia . "You mentioned a great enemy of marriage: gender theory," the pope said in response to a woman who had asked about it being taught in schools. He did not elaborate. Gender theory is broadly the concept that while a person may be biologically male or female, they have the right to identify themselves as male, female, both or neither. "Today, there is a global war out to destroy marriage," Francis said. "Not with weapons but with ideas ... we have to defend ourselves from ideological colonization." The pope has used the phrase "ideological colonization" in the past to denounce what he says are attempts by rich c...

Gay-themed tours of the Sistine Chapel are propaganda: expert

Image
English: Michelangelo's Pietà in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Français : La Pietà de Michel-Ange située dans la Basilique Saint-Pierre, au Vatican. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) “Gay” tours of Rome’s major sites, including St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museums , have been a feature of the Roman tourism scene for years.  Websites offering exclusive “private & gay” guides are easy to find and well-established. While “Luca” the gay tour guide gives little hint on his website as to any particular sexual content in his tours,  Quiiky , the Italian gay tourism operator featured recently in the Guardian newspaper , offers clients the chance “to experience gay Rome.” In the blog post  at the Guardian, the UK’s leftist flagship newspaper, Jonathan Jones called the Quiiky tour a “welcome sign of changing attitudes,” in Italy . He states blandly, “ Michelangelo was gay,” citing the “copious visual and written evidence about his unconcealed sexual identity.” He ...
