Kim Davis says she stood up against LGBT bullies for Christian faith reasons

Image
Kim Davis , the county clerk who in 2015 was jailed for refusing to issue same-sex “marriage” licenses, says anyone can be called and used by God . Davis said this in a new  memoir ,  Under God’s Authority: The Kim Davis Story.  She hopes it will offer encouragement to others facing challenges living their Christian faith . She recently spoke about the ordeal that sent her to jail for refusing to act against her beliefs.  The Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk maintains that she holds no ill will toward those who disagree with her pro-marriage convictions and says she only stands before “one judge” – God. ‘My story is one of redemption and transformation’ Davis’ story is a  harbinger of white (bloodless) martyrdom  for Christians in the age of marriage redefinition. It also brings to light the question: Who’s to say whom God will call and whom he can redeem? “My story is one of redemption and transformation,” Davis said.  Ridiculed for ...

Kentucky clerk jailed for refusing to sign gay ‘marriage’ licenses runs for re-election

Image
The Kentucky woman who became famous for refusing to sign homosexual “marriage” licenses and spent nearly a week in jail for her Christian convictions has officially registered for re-election. Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis announced in November that she would run for a second term, but this time as a Republican. She switched parties after her confrontation with the court system over same-sex “marriage.” After the U.S. Supreme Court ’s 2015  Obergefell v. Hodges  decision imposed homosexual “marriage” nationwide, Davis refused to sign county-issued licenses.  She said that as a Christian, she believed marriage was exclusively the union of one woman and one man.   “It’s a Heaven or Hell decision,” Davis  asserted .  While she said she has “no animosity toward anyone,” she refused to violate “marriage and God’s Word.” Even after U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning ordered her to sanction same-sex “marriage” with her signature, she re...

ACLU sues Kim Davis, Kentucky county to recoup $233K in legal fees from gay ‘marriage’ license battle

Image
The American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky (ACLU) filed a federal lawsuit last Monday against Kim Davis and Rowan County , demanding $233,058 in expenses for suing to force Davis to sign her name to same-sex "marriage" licenses. The Rowan County clerk is called a hero by some and a villain by others after she refused to sign homosexual "marriage" licenses in 2015 because she sincerely believed that doing so would imply her consent and participation in something the Bible deems sinful.   U.S. District Judge David Bunning incarcerated Davis for a week, jailing her for "contempt" because she held to her religious convictions.   After serving the jail time, Davis took the names of county clerks off the licenses. She was granted that accommodation, first by the governor's executive order and then by legislation. But that did not satisfy gay activists, and the -  ACLU sued to force Davis to violate her conscience by issuing the old mar...

Christian sues county after being fired for refusing to perform same-sex ‘wedding’

Image
Last year, a county clerk in Kentucky was   jailed   for refusing to issue homosexual marriage licenses . Now a county clerk in Florida is fighting a similar battle. Broward County Clerk Yanicka Parker was fired for asking her boss to have someone else in the clerk's office issue a marriage license to gays. Parker explained to Clerk of Courts Howard Forman that as a Christian and a minister she could not condone sodomy because of her sincerely held beliefs. As soon as she received an interdepartmental email stating all employees must perform wedding vows and issue licenses for homosexuals, Parker requested an accommodation. She also asked to be transferred or reassigned to a department that did not require officiating homosexual unions. When a statewide ban on homosexual marriage was rescinded on January 6, 2015, she again asked that someone else in the large Broward County Clerk's Office perform those duties, which constitute only a fraction of her work. Eve...

Kim Davis's Hometown mocked - by immoral Pride Celebration

Image
The hometown of Kim Davis was mocked and abused by a nude LGBTQ pride party. Clearing portraying the reasons why Kim refused to sign homosexual marriage certificates.  Their were drag queens dressed to impersonate and embarrass the Rowan County clerk clearly mocking and abusing a peron who religious conscience would not permit homosexual sin to be recognized by the state.  The justice system abused her by placing her in jail because she simply stood on her religious beliefs. The liberals laughed and abused her for her Christian faith. The media abused and mocked her and now LGBTQ advocates are abusing the woman by mocking her with insults and lewd homosexual comments. This is typical LGBTQ version of LOVE and tolerance - but it is really called abuse.

Kim Davis Has Won the Fight for Religious Freedom

Image
Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis has won the fight for religious freedom after a federal judge issued an order dismissing all three 2015 marriage license lawsuits against her yesterday. U.S. Judge David Bunning dismissed in their entirety, Miller v. Davis, Ermold v. Davis and Yates v. Davis, which brings to an end the trial proceedings against her arising from the 2015 Obergefell decision. Despite the ACLU's attempt to continue the case against Kim Davis and assess damages against her, the federal district court dismissed the case, closed the files and ordered all the pending cases to be removed from the docket. Davis, represented by Liberty Counsel, spent six days in jail last year for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples in violation of her right to freedom of conscience. Davis would not issue the licenses because they had her name and authority on them. As a result, Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin signed an executive order creating one marriage license form which...

Rubio says SCOTUS didn’t ‘settle’ marriage issue: ‘God’s rules always win’

English: Marco Rubio, U.S. Senator from Florida, Former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives Français : Marco Rubio, homme politique républicain de Floride (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Surging GOP presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio , R-FL, says that " God's law " trumps the U.S. Supreme Court ’s Obergefell decision imposing same-sex “marriage” nationwide. The senator also told Christian Broadcast Network's David Brody that the Supreme Court's redefinition of marriage is not "settled," but instead "current law." “No law is settled,” said Rubio. “Roe v. Wade is current law, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t continue to aspire to fix it, because we think it’s wrong.” “If you live in a society where the government creates an avenue and a way for you to peacefully change the law, then you’re called to participate in that process to try to change it,” he explained, and "the proper place for that to be defined is at th...

Should Christian parents allow their children to play at the homes of children who have parents in a same-sex union?

Image
Christians tend to swing between two problematic extremes on this issue. On the one hand, we often believe that friendship with someone forces us to deny the sinfulness of his sin. On the other hand, Christians often mistakenly believe biblical faithfulness requires us to separate from anyone involved in ongoing public sin. Neither of these options is faithful to the gospel. Since a simple yes or no will not serve us in this situation, I propose that we remember the following truths and let them inform our worldview and ethical decisions on these matters. First, I would encourage Christians not to radically separate from our neighbors in such a way that we prohibit our children from playing with their children. Instead, we should make every effurt to develop real and authentic friendships with our LGBT neighbors. Paul tells us "not to associate with sexually immoral people" (1 Cor. 5:9). He follows up these words with, "Not at all meaning the sexually immoral of...

Can a person with same-sex attraction change his or her orientation? If so, how?

Image
At one level we must answer this question with affirmative conviction. Yes, a person with same-sex attraction can change. Christians must proclaim that rebellious sinners , whether heterosexual or homosexual, can be redeemed by Christ and conformed to his image by the Holy Spirit. We can affirm this without hesitation because of God's promises in Scripture and because of the gospel's transformative power. At the same time, the process of sanctification and the radical change from sexual sinner to a life of purity and holiness is never simple. The redemption of someone with same-sex attraction does not instantaneously produce a heterosexual orientation. The New Testament displays the difficulty of escaping patterns of temptation and sin. In Romans 7, Paul demonstrates the tension Christians experience between new life in Christ and indwelling sin. There is simply no easy way to escape the lingering effects of our sin even after conversion to Christ. We must honestly stat...

Pope’s gay friend claims activists should credit Francis for steps to advance LGBT cause

Image
The homosexual friend of Pope Francis who took his partner to meet the Catholic pontiff in DC in September is now defending the pope from gay activist critics upset over the controversial meeting with Kim Davis . Instead, Yayo Grassi claims, gay activists should credit Francis for his efforts to change the Church’s attitude on homosexual issues. Word of the pope’s meeting with Grassi and his boyfriend, their second meeting as a couple with the pontiff, came immediately after the Vatican took steps to distance itself from Davis. After the news came out about the pope’s meeting with Davis, Vatican spokesmen rebuffed news headlines by claiming the audience with Grassi and his partner was “ the only real audience ” at the U.S. nunciature that day. Grassi , a former student of the pope’s, said that Pope Francis is taking steps to change the Church on LGBT issues , and also claims the pope has told him that he never made some of the strongest statements in support of marriage at...
