God approves Homosexual Marriage Argument because the sky hasn't fallen.

WHAT IS THE: SKY HAS NOT FALLEN ARGUMENT?

Pro-homosexual Journalists, TV commentators, politicians and homosexual advocates have declared after the state has approved homosexual marriage that the "sky has not fallen".

It is to ridicule Christians who oppose homosexual marriage because the Bible prohibits both male homosexuality and lesbianism.

Homosexual advocates point to Sodom and Gommorah where the sky fell with fire and brimstone as a sign of God's judgement against the abhorrent sin of homosexuality. They argue, the sky hasn't fallen therefore: God loves homosexuals; God approves of homosexual marriage; God doesn't care; or God doesn't exists and Christians are building their life on an irrelevant fairy tale.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

1. Both Old and New Testament condemns homosexuality as a sin.

The New Testament book of Romans clearly condemns homosexuality and in particular highlights lesbianism first as an example of the degradation of sin. The Levitical moral code comes over into the New Testament and is even enhanced by Jesus. Jesus acknowledges that marriage consists of a man and woman when answering a question on divorce. The Levitical rituals, clothings, eating, cultural, worship, practices were limited to Israel and fulfilled in Christ

2. The sky fell in Genesis 19 as judgement against homosexuality

Does the sky fall today? Romans 1 says all sin has repercussions. It also says sin can be forgiven for those in Christ who repent.

Scripture declares that Christians are the target of the satanic deception. At the same time so are the unsaved, or unredeemed. The lost person is led to believe, even by the lips of well-meaning but poor-thinking Christians that the number of his sins or the severity of them doesn’t matter at all, as if all sins were equal in the sight of God.

All sins are serious in God’s sight. To sin against one part of the law is to sin against the whole law. Yet to sin against two parts of the law is to be twice as guilty. Jesus spoke often of “greater guilt” and the entire Scripture repeatedly uses gradations for various levels of severity of sin. To obscure this point is to eclipse the justice of God.

Perhaps the warning about compounded guilt is stated no more starkly than in Romans 2:5–6 KJV:

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; who will render to every man according to his deeds.

EACH SINNER HAS A STOREHOUSE

In God’s tribunal the sinner has a storehouse, a treasury of wrath. It grows and is compounded by each transgression of His law. Every time the mouth blasphemes, a deposit is made in the treasury. Each time a promise is broken, the account swells. Jesus declared that every idle word will be added to it. No wonder our Savior spoke in urgent terms of fleeing from the wrath to come. Each moment of time the anger of God is increased.

The sky doesn't fall but the storehouse gets filled.

Other translations speak of “heaping up” wrath against the day of wrath. The image is the same. It is adding to a pile, stacking sin on top of sin, mounting up guilt and compounding the felony.

For example; the stock market speculator lives on the edge of fear. His greatest nemesis is the margin call. For multitudes death is the final margin call. Now is the time God has appointed for us to declare bankruptcy. The moment we do, the instant our impenitent hearts crumble and we prostrate ourselves before Christ, God our Father transfers our deposit of wrath to Christ’s account and opens a new account in our name, a trust fund granted to His heirs.

We enter His family by adoption into our elder Brother, God’s Only Begotten. He is our righteousness, our treasure. Without Him we stand alone and God will render to us according to our works. He will render His wrath in justice. With Him He will still render to us according to our works. He will render His rewards in mercy.

For homosexuals and lesbians, God hands them over to their sinful desires; hands them over to their sexual impurity, to degrade their bodies; they exchange God's truth about sexuality for a lie; the LGBT lie; their thinking becomes distorted, they get filled with all kinds of wickedness, evil, greed, .....just gets worse and worse.

The sky doesn't physically fall. Their storehouse before God does get filled with wrath and judgement. Outside they look normal but spiritually and before God they are filled with wrath and God's judgement.

Romans 1:26 says God hands them over to their own lusts and they receive in themselves the due penalty of their perversion. God is essentially saying, you want this with all its deception, you can have it.

So the sky doesn't fall, but they receive abundance of God's wrath which build daily until that great day when judgement will come. Death is that final margin call.

But any person who repents and confesses their sin, can call upon the name of the Lord and be saved and that growing deposit of wrath is transferred to the account of Christ.

Do not believe the lie: God is love and he loves me and my sin. Foolish dark thinking.
