Anger as UK homosexualists declare Edinburgh cardinal “bigot of the year”

EDINBURGH, November 5, 2012 – Christian believers and others in Britain are expressing outrage after the country’s leading homosexualist lobby group declared the Cardinal Archbishop of Edinburgh, Keith O’Brien , “Bigot of the Year” for his opposition to “gay marriage”. While Stonewall and some others continue to defend the award category, even some of the group’s greatest supporters have criticized it, saying the designation damages their own cause. Gerald Warner , a Catholic journalist and sometime policy advisor to the Scottish Conservative party, called the award a sign that the homosexualist movement is sinking further into “homofascism”. Scottish Cardinal’s letter defending traditional marriage read in all 500 parishes

EDINBURGH, August 27, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – After suspending discussions with the government over “ gay marriage ,” Britain’s most senior Catholic prelate issued a pastoral letter this weekend declaring Sunday August 26 as “National Marriage Sunday”.  The letter  was read in all 500 Scottish Catholic parishes this weekend. “We reaffirm before you all the common wisdom of humanity and the revealed faith of the Church that marriage is a unique life-long union of a man and a woman,” the letter said. Edinburgh cardinal suspends discussion with govt’ over ‘gay marriage’

EDINBURGH, August 20, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - The head of the Catholic Church in Scotland has suspended all communications with the government over plans to create “gay marriage” in the province. Keith O’Brien, the Cardinal archbishop of Edinburgh issued a statement yesterday saying that all future discussions on the subject between the government and the Church will be conducted through officials. Cardinal Keith O’Brien , who leads the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland , has come out in fierce opposition to plans to legalize homosexual “marriage” in England and Wales .
