UK study shows massive surge in deadly STDs among gay men

Image
A steep jump in cases of two deadly sexually transmitted diseases in the UK has been found among homosexual men, a new study says. Figures from the Public Health England (PHE) indicate the increase in cases of syphilis and gonorrhea among homosexual males rose considerably higher than that of the general population, prompting health experts to say the problem must be a public health priority and that this is likely just “the tip of the iceberg.” While the study showed a slight dip in sexually transmitted diseases overall, the impact of the diseases remains the greatest among young people under 25, and in particular homosexual men, bisexual men and other men who have sex with men. “The stats published today show that too many people are getting STIs,” said Doctor Gwenda Hughes, head the PHE department that oversees STDs. “Reducing this spread must be a public health priority. We are particularly concerned about the large rises in diagnoses among gay men.” This concern was repeated by...

Gay teens make up 92 percent of HIV cases in their age group

Image
More than 9 in 10 new HIV cases among young men and boys ages 13 to 24 in the U.S. occur among homosexuals and bisexuals, according to a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The April 25 CDC report, “HIV Among Gay and Bisexual Men,” offers stark evidence of the extreme health risks associated with male homosexual sex, in particular receptive anal sex. Below are some of its findings: — Gay and bisexual men aged 13 to 24 accounted for an estimated 92 percent of new HIV diagnoses among all men in their age group and 27 percent of new diagnoses among all gay and bisexual men; — Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men made up an estimated 2 percent of the population, but 55 percent of people living with HIV in the United States in 2013; — From 2005 to 2014, HIV diagnoses decreased in the United States by 19 percent overall but increased 6 percent among all gay and bisexual men; — 1 in 6 gay and bisexual men will be diagnosed with HIV in their li...

Syphilis infections rising dramatically among homosexuals

Image
Image via Wikipedia Image via Wikipedia Image via Wikipedia The New Brunswick Health Department has issued a warning that syphilis is spreading at an increasing rate among the province’s homosexuals and that strategies to prevent infection and reduce risk of transmission by infected individuals seem to be ineffective. According to the  January issue  of the New Brunswick Disease Watch Bulletin, infection numbers have gone from fewer than five cases per year before 2012, to 9 in 2014, 37 in 2017 and 57 last year, with 10 cases already reported in the first two months of this year. The New Brunswick Health Department is particularly concerned that most of the syphilis infections are occurring in the homosexual community. “Since late 2012, 92 per cent of cases have been male. Most male cases have reported only male sex partners ( MSM ),” the Disease Watch Bulletin states, highlighting that the disease does not seem to involve traditional high-risk groups such as pro...

CDC official: Gay men’s disease rates highest since 1980s HIV/AIDS outbreak

Image
Men who have sex with men face a syphilis infection rate at the highest it’s been since the 1980s, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) official. “We’re concerned about our high levels of syphilis among men who have sex with men – really we’re back to the level of disease – burden of disease – in gay men that we were seeing before HIV in this country,” said Gail Bolan, director of the CDC’s Division of STD Prevention, at an event lobbying for federal funding to fight sexually transmitted diseases in the United States . The comments were reported by CNS News . Some groups bear a disproportionate burden of STDs , according to a   2014 CDC fact sheet , and “While anyone can become infected with an STD, certain groups, including young people and gay and bisexual men , are at greatest risk.” In a section of the fact sheet on the “Troubling rise in syphilis infections among men, particularly gay and bisexual men,” the CDC wrote, “Trend data show ...

Traditional Marriage regulates society - gay marriage doesn't

Image
Pitirim Sorokin , the founder of sociology at Harvard University , pointed to the regulation of sexuality as the essential first mark of civilization. According to Sorokin, civilization is possible only when marriage is normative and sexual conduct is censured outside of the marital relationship. Furthermore, Sorokin traced the rise and fall of civilizations and concluded that the weakening of marriage was a first sign of civilizational collapse. We should note that Sorokin made these arguments long before anything like homosexual marriage had been openly discussed. Sorokin’s insight was the realization that civilization requires men to take responsibility for their offspring. This was possible, he was convinced, only when marriage was held to be the unconditional expectation for sexual activity and procreation. Once individuals–especially males–are freed for sexual behavior outside of marriage, civilizational collapse becomes an inevitability. The weakening of marriage–even...

The Bible, Homosexuality and love

Image
Christianity views human sexuality as being the result of God’s creative act. Therefore, sexual activity should be in accordance with God’s intention as revealed in the Bible. The biblical portrayal of human sexuality is based on the understanding that we are created male or female in the image of God and that the union of husband and wife in marriage is the appropriate relationship for sexual activity. Sexual behaviour is an expression of love between a man and a woman who have committed themselves to each other in marriage. The consistent biblical ideal for sexual experience is chastity for those outside of a monogamous heterosexual marriage and fidelity for those within such a marriage. Human sexual relationships are to be monogamous and heterosexual. The Christian view of human sexuality is not the only or even the prevailing view within Australian society.  An alternative view is that sexual identity and behaviour is the prerogative of the individual and that...

‘Astronomical’ syphilis outbreak hitting Newfoundland homosexuals

Image
English: This photograph shows a close-up view of keratotic lesions on the palms of this patient’s hands due to a secondary syphilitic infection. Syphilis is a complex sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum. It has often been called "the great imitator" because so many of the signs and symptoms are indistinguishable from those of other diseases. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The health care authority of eastern Newfoundland is warning the public of a significant increase in the numbers of infectious syphilis cases among homosexual men in the most populous region of the province. Eastern Health said that last year there were a total of 26 cases of the sexually transmitted disease - already unusually high - but there have already been 15 cases of syphilis reported in the first three months of 2015. The health authority said that the majority of the syphilis cases have been diagnosed in homosexual men between the ages of 20 and 49....

Gay activist: Of course our goal is to ‘indoctrinate children into LGBTQ agenda’

Image
A homosexual activist has candidly admitted that gay-themed materials and policies pushed in grade schools across North America are for the sake of “indoctrinating” children into an unquestioning acceptance of homosexuality. “I am here to tell you: All that time I said I wasn't indoctrinating anyone with my beliefs about gay and lesbian and bi and trans and queer people? That was a lie,” writes long-time Canadian gay activist S. Bear Bergman ,  a woman who identifies as a transgender man , in a piece appearing on Huffington Post a week ago tellingly titled ‘ I Have Come to Indoctrinate Your Children Into My LGBTQ Agenda (And I'm Not a Bit Sorry) .’ Bergman, who runs a Toronto-based publishing company making books for children that positively portrays “LGBTQ” people, is the transgender partner of J. Wallace, a gender equity adviser at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Bergman writes that as a young activist, she often entertained a “delicious fantasy” of wis...

CDC: Gay men make up only 2% of US, but 63% of all new AIDS cases

English: Estimated number of US HIV/AIDS Cases, in 2007 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued a new report that highlights the potentially lethal dangers of anal sex. In their most recent Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report , the health agency said that while men with same-sex attraction make up only 2 percent of the total population, they accounted for 63 percent of all newly-diagnosed HIV/AIDS cases in 2010. More than half of all AIDS-sufferers in the U.S. are homosexual, and most of them contracted it by engaging in anal sex. “Most gay and bisexual men acquire HIV through anal sex, which is the riskiest type of sex for getting or transmitting HIV,” the CDC wrote in the September 26 report, which was released to coincide with “National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day” on September 27. Based on recent studies, the CDC estimates that about 18 percent of all homosexual men are infected with HIV. Chillingly, more than a third of those in...
