School district trustee faces human rights complaint for criticizing ‘gender identity’ curriculum

Image
The  Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms  is representing a Chilliwack School District trustee as he defends himself against a human rights complaint for criticizing teaching materials denying the biological reality of the two genders. The Chilliwack School District trustee is Barry Neufeld, against whom a human rights complaint was filed by a union of local School District staff.  Mr. Neufeld has publicly criticized the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI 123) curriculum supplements that BC teachers are encouraged to use. SOGI 123 materials promote, among other things, the belief that gender is fluid, that there are more than two genders, and that gender is not determined by biological sex. The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in 2016 amended the BC  Human Rights Code  to include protection for “ gender expression ” and “gender identity”. Subsequently, the then-Liberal education minister worked with the Vancouver-based ...

ABC reporter blame Pastors for Homosexual mental health

Image
Once again, ABC Australia is blaming the church, but more precisely pastors for homosexual poor mental health. As usual the ABC spends time interviewing one Church leader who is bisexual from the Uniting church then another 'progressive' Baptist Pastor who disregards historical biblical interpretation on the sin of homosexuality and personally reinterprets homosexuality as a blessing of God .  The problem with the article written by Sarah Malik is that it shows little understanding of the scriptures, ignores the presence of a Godly conscience, misunderstands the power of sin even the existence of sin, the blindness of sin, the rebellion against God word and lastly the abandonment by God for homosexual behavior as outlined in Romans 1.  All of these actions, are identical to any person who sins intentionally or unintentionally against the will of God. The searing of the conscience comes first, the the withdrawal of God's restraint until God abandons them. This ...

Religious Freedom Law Protects Business Owner Who Fired Trans Woman, Judge Rules

Image
The businessman says allowing one of his employees to express her gender identity "would be violating God’s commands." Religious freedom is a valid defense for a Michigan business owner who fired a trans woman after she asked to dress in accordance with her gender identity, a federal judge ruled Thursday. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which enforces federal anti-discrimination laws, had sued the business, R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes, after it fired its funeral director, Amiee Stephens, a transgender woman who was undergoing transition. Stephens, who had worked at the funeral home for six years and was known as Anthony Stephens until 2013, was fired after she sent a letter to her boss and coworkers announcing that she had gender dysphoria and was undergoing treatment, with plans for sex reassignment surgery at a later date. “The first step I must take is to live and work full-time as a woman for one year,” she told coworkers. “At the end of my vaca...

Research: Sexual Orientation

Image
Sexual Orientation  Lawrence S. Mayer ,   Paul R. McHugh While some people are under the impression that sexual orientation is an innate, fixed, and biological trait of human beings — that, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual, we are “born that way” — there is insufficient scientific evidence to support that claim. In fact, the concept of sexual orientation itself is highly ambiguous; it can refer to a set of behaviors, to feelings of attraction, or to a sense of identity. Epidemiological studies show a rather modest association between genetic factors and sexual attractions or behaviors, but do not provide significant evidence pointing to particular genes.  There is also evidence for other hypothesized biological causes of homosexual behaviors, attractions, or identity — such as the influence of hormones on prenatal development — but that evidence, too, is limited. Studies of the brains of homosexuals and heterosexuals have found some differences,...
