Yes, the LGBT agenda does ‘directly affect me.’ You, too.

Recent developments in America's courts and legislatures have brought home a reality that I discussed in this space last summer:  Transgender activists seek to undermine parental rights . Transgenderism is part of a  movement  that is hostile to traditional family life. The traditional family is based on the idea that the needs of children are supplied by parents with rights and responsibilities to meet those needs. While the state can interfere in cases of abuse or neglect, generally protecting parents' freedom is the best way to ensure that children are well provided for. Wherever the state deals with children, such as in schools or in foster care , there are bound to be conflicts between parents and the state. This conflict in the sphere of education is why transgender activists spend much time trying to reform the way schools educate. The state has greater power over foster parents than over birth parents because the state has assigned children to foste...

BETSY DEVOS WILL NO LONGER ASSIST TRANS STUDENTS' BATHROOM RIGHTS - AS THIS IS A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE NOT TOILET RIGHTS

Image
Education Secretary   Betsy DeVos  has been abused by LGBT rights advocates for refusing to protect  transgender students denied access to bathrooms and lockers based on their gender identity . LGBT people believe they have toilet rights. During a House Appropriations subcommittee meeting on Tuesday, Republican representative Mark Pocan asked DeVos how the Education Department planned to respond to complaints put forward by trangender students regarding this issue. Transgenerderism is a mental health problem - not to be celebrated but to be treated. A mental health condition is not a right.  An LGBT zealot sought to clarify DeVos' stance after  the Trump administration last year withdrew   Obama -era federal immoral and illogical protections for transgender students at public schools allowing them to use facilities that matched their chosen gender identity. Last month, a spokesperson for the Education Department said it would...

Jordan Peterson urges parents to fight radical sex ed: It’s ‘a form of indoctrination’

Image
Schools are pushing Ontario 's sex ed curriculum on students in a “completely reprehensible” way,  Dr. Jordan Peterson  said in an interview with parental rights advocate Tanya Granic Allen, who is running to be the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario . If parents don’t approve of what their children are being taught at school, then “don’t send them to the classes,” Peterson said forcefully. “Keep them at home,” he suggested. “And take the consequences.” Peterson said so many parents oppose the graphic sex ed program that the small group behind it won’t be able to do much. Parents who refuse to let their children be subjected to the program launched by Kathleen Wynne 's Liberal government “may find that you have a lot more support than you think.” “If you don’t stand your ground, then all that happens is people push you backwards,” he said. “If you wanna be pushed backwards, then go along with it.” Parents “have to decide what’s impo...

Kansas Republicans vote to ‘oppose all efforts to validate transgender identity’

Image
Bucking the nation’s politically correct transgender tide, the Kansas Republican Party voted this weekend to “oppose all efforts to validate transgender identity.” The resolution affirms “God’s design for gender as determined by biological sex and not by self-perception.” While the Kansas GOP ’s resolution attests to the dignity of all LGBT people , the statement also makes clear that it does not support medical procedures––hormonal or surgical––which aim to affirm people’s perceived, non-biological gender identities .   One intent of the resolution appears to be aimed at counteracting pro-transgender efforts now underway in Kansas’ public school systems. “Some Kansas public schools are encouraging parents and teachers to affirm the feelings of children experiencing gender dysphoria,” reads the approved resolution.  “And some Kansas public schools are allowing access to private facilities according to children’s self-perception of gender and not according ...

Virginia school board unanimously rejects Obama’s transgender bathroom mandate

Image
A Virginia school board unanimously approved an ordinance on Friday resisting the Obama administration ’s transgender bathroom edict and requiring students to use bathrooms and locker rooms that correspond with their biological sex . The ordinance, which immediately took effect, allows public school students in Grayson County, Virginia , to request to use a single-stall facility but prevents them from accessing facilities that don’t correspond with their biological sex. The Obama administration   has threatened   to pull federal funding from schools that do not allow males to access facilities designated for females, like locker rooms, showers, and bathrooms. Under the administration’s new guidelines, male and female students   must be allowed   to share hotel rooms on school trips. Kelly Wilmore, the superintendent of Grayson County Public Schools, told LifeSiteNews that the ordinance was passed in response to requests from parents. He said the co...

Over 750,000 pledge to boycott Target for giving men access to women’s bathrooms

Image
Over 750,000 people have pledged to boycott Target over the company’s new policy allowing men to use women’s bathrooms . The American Family Association, which launched the   petition , says the fact that it’s generated such a large response in only five days shows how outraged Americans are. “American families are concerned about their wives and daughters being harmed by predators or voyeurs who will now have more freedom to enter women’s bathrooms,” AFA president Tim Wildmon . “There are many more sex offenders in America than transgender people, so we believe that Target should keep separate facilities for men and women, but for the transgender community and for those who simply like using the bathroom alone, a single occupancy unisex option should be provided, as AFA has proposed.” Target announced its new policy last week, writing in a statement that it would allow people to use bathrooms based on their self-determined “ gender identity ” and not biological reali...

Foundations pouring millions into campaign to eradicate religious exemptions on gay ‘marriage’

Image
July 31, 2015  -- Revelations that a half dozen well-heeled liberal foundations are pouring millions of dollars into a concerted campaign to force religious organizations to accept same sex “marriage” have defenders of religious rights warning of a new “wave” of litigation. “Attacking religious exemptions is the next big wave,” Bill Donohue, head of the Catholic League , said “Gay rights are only the pretext. These groups won’t be satisfied till every trace of religion is erased from public life in America.” After investigating their financial and annual reports,   The Catholic News Agency   has released the names of six foundations that have recently donated millions to groups and campaigns to eliminate any religious exemption under the First Amendment from federal, state or municipal human rights regulations, requiring couples in same-sex “marriages” be treated the same as heterosexual married couples. The Evelyn & Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, the Gill Foundat...
