Disney shows gay kiss in a children’s cartoon for first time
The Walt Disney Company pushed the LGBT envelope a little further this week by airing its first on-screen gay kiss on an animated children’s program. This comes the same week that the children's entertainment giant announced that there will be an "exclusively gay moment" featured in the new live action version of Beauty and the Beast. Several same-sex couples were shown kissing in the latest episode of Star vs. the Forces of Evil , a cartoon geared toward children and adolescents that airs on Disney XD, the company’s digital cable and satellite television channel.
