Gay teens make up 92 percent of HIV cases in their age group

Image
More than 9 in 10 new HIV cases among young men and boys ages 13 to 24 in the U.S. occur among homosexuals and bisexuals, according to a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The April 25 CDC report, “HIV Among Gay and Bisexual Men,” offers stark evidence of the extreme health risks associated with male homosexual sex, in particular receptive anal sex. Below are some of its findings: — Gay and bisexual men aged 13 to 24 accounted for an estimated 92 percent of new HIV diagnoses among all men in their age group and 27 percent of new diagnoses among all gay and bisexual men; — Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men made up an estimated 2 percent of the population, but 55 percent of people living with HIV in the United States in 2013; — From 2005 to 2014, HIV diagnoses decreased in the United States by 19 percent overall but increased 6 percent among all gay and bisexual men; — 1 in 6 gay and bisexual men will be diagnosed with HIV in their li...

Homosexual marriage advocates ignore major health issues

Image
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Meanwhile, the CDC, no bastion of conservatism, just released this month a report establishing and detailing the devastating effects of "LGBT" identity and behaviors on teens "grades 9-12." Writing at WND , child advocate Linda Harvey expressed frustration that, despite its irrefutable conclusions, the CDC yet insists upon using such propagandist terms as "sexual minorities" to describe same-sex-attracted teens. She notes that "these adolescents no more qualify as 'minorities' than kids who eat junk food," and cuts through the smokescreen to summarize the report's findings: "Self-labeled homosexual and bisexual teens were twice as likely as heterosexual teens to have been victims of sexual or physical dating violence, to be regular cigarette smokers, to have tried marijuana before age 13, to ever have used cocaine, hallucinogenic drugs, ecstasy, taken prescription drugs without ...

CDC: Gay men make up only 2% of US, but 63% of all new AIDS cases

Image
English: Estimated number of US HIV/AIDS Cases, in 2007 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued a new report that highlights the potentially lethal dangers of anal sex. In their most recent Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report , the health agency said that while men with same-sex attraction make up only 2 percent of the total population, they accounted for 63 percent of all newly-diagnosed HIV/AIDS cases in 2010. More than half of all AIDS-sufferers in the U.S. are homosexual, and most of them contracted it by engaging in anal sex. “Most gay and bisexual men acquire HIV through anal sex, which is the riskiest type of sex for getting or transmitting HIV,” the CDC wrote in the September 26 report, which was released to coincide with “National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day” on September 27. Based on recent studies, the CDC estimates that about 18 percent of all homosexual men are infected with HIV. Chillingly, more than a third of those in...

WHO warns global gay HIV rates remain at epidemic levels

Image
The World Health Organization issued a warning July 11 that despite all efforts the global HIV epidemic continues to severely impact men who have sex with men, as well as other "key populations " that include people in prison, people who inject drugs, sex workers , and people who identify as transgender. "Rates of HIV infection among men who have sex with men remain high almost everywhere and new prevention options are urgently needed." In the lead-up to the International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, Australia , which begins July 20, WHO released  new guidelines for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care of key groups that are particularly vulnerable to the virus. "Rates of HIV infection among men who have sex with men remain high almost everywhere and new prevention options are urgently needed," the organization states in a news release. In a new tack towards trying to deal with the HIV epidemic, the WHO now for the first time "strong...

Nearly two-thirds of gay men who know they have AIDS have sex without condoms: CDC report

Image
WASHINGTON, DC ,  – A new  report  from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows approximately  62 percent of gay men  who know they have HIV/AIDS continue to engage in sexual relations without using a prophylactic, a behavior that can spread AIDS.  The report, which was released on the Friday after Thanksgiving, analyzed data gathered in 2011.  According to the report, the percentage of men with HIV/AIDS having sex with other men without a condom had increased from 55 percent in 2005, to 57 percent in 2008, to 62 percent today. CDC spokesperson Nikky Mayes told LifeSiteNews.com in an e-mail that the “new analysis of data suggests concerning signs of sexual risk for HIV infection among gay and bisexual men in 20 major U.S. cities.” The surveys cited in the report examine men having sex with men (MSM) for a period of 12 months. In the report, many MSM said they tried to reduce their risk of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted inf...

Isn't homosexuality just like normal heterosexuality?

Image
People who engage in homosexual behavior are normal in many ways. Like anyone else, they have friends and family, they work and play, they love and hate, and have fears and dreams.  But it seems strange to admit that  everything  about homosexuality is normal. Indeed, it’s hard to say any class of people is normal in every way. For example, I’m Assyrian. My people are normal in many ways, but there are also many things about us that are abnormal (or just downright weird). We have genetic differences – we are a Semitic people . Our language is extremely uncommon. We have an over-active hair hormone (much to the chagrin of female Assyrians). Our food is strange to my friends and when people see my relatives talk, they think we’re shouting at each other (which we are, but that’s how we talk). We’re not normal in every way. The same is true of homosexuals. They are normal in many ways, but there are also things about them that are not. They just occur in different ca...

‘Epidemic’: HIV rates, already sky-high, continuing to climb among gay men, warns CDC

Image
A  fact sheet  released at the end of June by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) warns that HIV rates, already at epidemic proportions, are continuing to climb steadily among men who have sex with men (MSM). "Gay and bisexual men remain at the epicenter of the HIV/AIDS epidemic," says Jonathan Mermin, the director of the CDC's division of HIV/AIDS prevention. The CDC notes that while homosexual men make up only a very small percentage of the male population (4%), MSM account for over three-quarters of all new HIV infections, and nearly two-thirds (63 percent) of all new infections in 2010 (29,800). "Men who have sex with men remain the group most heavily affected by HIV in the United States," the fact sheet states. US News  reports  that if HIV infections among men who have sex with men (MSM) continue to rise at the current rates, more than half of college-aged homosexual men will have HIV by the age of 50. When broken down by age group...

Male Homosexual Health Risk

Image
Recent statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on HIV infection in the United States reveal some disturbing trends concerning gay males or, in CDC terminology, “men who have sex with men” ( MSM ). In recent data the CDC estimated that 61 percent of the 48,079 HIV infections diagnosed in 2010 occurred through male to male sexual contact.(1) According to the CDC data, sexual contact and injection drug use are the predominant means by which HIV is transmitted. The CDC data on HIV diagnoses came from forty-six states and five U.S. dependent areas. 29,194 new HIV diagnoses in 2010 were linked to male homosexual contact where no injection drug use took place. There were approximately 4550 HIV male diagnoses linked to heterosexual contact. Injection drug use was involved in 5481 cases. Women contracting the HIV virus through heterosexual contact accounted for approximately 8,800 cases. 47 HIV cases came from sources other than the four listed. Included i...
