The BBC, the publicly funded British TV and radio institution, has aired a kiss between two teenage girls in a program aimed at young children. “The Next Step,” a Canadian-produced teen drama series following the stories of aspiring young dancers, featured a kiss between teen actresses Dani Verayo and Molly Sanders in a show aired last week. The show was broadcast via the CBBC brand, which the BBC says is for children ages six to 15 years old. Mainstream media reports have praised the scene as a “hopeful sign of breaking down even more barriers in television.” A BBC spokesperson told The Metro that “CBBC is proud to reflect all areas of children’s lives, including age-appropriate representation of same-sex relationships, across our factual and fictional output.” U.K. newspaper The Mirror said that “BBC producers have been working to serve the LGBTQ+ community and provide representation in their shows.”  In 2018, the BBC said that it wanted LGBT characters to be seen ...

Mom arrested, interrogated for disagreeing with transgender about pronouns

Image
Last month, a docker in Northern England was informed by the police in Humberside that he would be the subject of a formal investigation for tweeting out a limerick about transgender people. Several weeks after that, the police in Suffolk contacted a 74-year-old woman, and an officer asked her to stop tweeting comments critical of transgender ideology and to perhaps consider deleting some of her previous social media posts. And now, the Daily Mail reported over the weekend, it turns out that a 38-year-old mother was arrested in front of her children and locked up in a cell at the police station by the Hertfordshire Police back in December for having an argument with a transgender activist on Twitter. Kate Scottow’s story is truly chilling. Three police officers showed up at her home and detained her, carting her off to the station and then interrogating her for having an argument with a transgender activist about “deadnaming,” and for referring to a biological man who identifies as...

UK police investigate transgender pronoun complaints, raising free speech concerns

Members of the public in the United Kingdom are facing investigation by the police and criminal charges if they dare to challenge gender ideology on social media. The week before last, Harry Miller, 53, a plant and machinery dealer and married father of four, reported on Twitter that he had been contacted by Humberside Police at his workplace.  The police cited a series of 30 tweets which were deemed to be potentially “offensive.” Amongst them was a limerick written by a feminist which questioned whether transgender “women” can't be a biological woman. Although the police force admitted that no crime had been committed, Police Constable Mansoor Gul informed Miller that his tweets would be officially logged as a “hate incident” and insisted on referring to the “victim,” telling Miller that “we need to check your thinking.” NO FREE SPEECH - CHECK YOUR THINKING OR YOU MUST THINK THIS WAY Miller’s social media account contained no details pertaining to either his full identity ...

Image
England,  – A primary school in England makes children as young as six writes “love letters” inserting themselves into a homosexual fairytale, according to a recent video from BBC Radio Manchester. The Blaze   reports  that the video profiles a class at Bewsey Lodge Primary School, in which teacher Sarah Hopson has her students place themselves in the role of Prince Henry and write a letter asking male servant Thomas to “marry” him. “This school teaches children about LGBT relationships from an early age,” text over the video explains. “This class of 6-year-old is learning about gay marriage [...] all ages take part in LGBT lessons.” Children are “going to go out into that world and find this diversity around them, and they’ll find that at a young age as well,” Hopson told the BBC. “And the more they can be accepting at this age, you’re not going to face it further on because the children will be accepting now and will be accepting this diversity around them.”...

UK Bishop Davies: Catholics oppose same-sex ‘marriage’ out of love

Image
SHREWSBURY, England , March 19, 2014  - In an interview touching on life, family, faith, and culture, Shrewsbury Bishop Mark Davies said that despite perceptions of hate and prejudice, the real reason why Christians oppose same-sex “ marriage ” is out of love.  “It is often said that there is a prejudicial hate, a sense of discrimination [that] lies behind the teachings of the Church and the Christian understanding of marriage,” he said. On the contrary, “what we need to always emphasize is that what lies behind this is love – a genuine love for every person. That love very much extends, by the Church, to those who experience same-sex attraction .” With same-sex “marriage” having passed into law last July and come into force in England last week, Bishop Davies said that the battle must continue.  “The essential battle is now for the very foundations of marriage, its identity in the union of man and woman, a lasting union, a union which is open to life and t...

California petition drive to repeal transgender ‘bathroom’ bill just misses goal

Image
SACRAMENTO , February 25, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A California petition drive seeking to put the state’s controversial new ‘choose your own gender’ law on the ballot for possible repeal by voters has failed after the secretary of state determined the referendum’s organizers did not get enough valid signatures to force a public vote. The petition needed 504,760 signatures in order to force a referendum.  Organizers with Privacy for All Students collected over 600,000, but the state threw out 131,857, claiming they were invalid.  The remaining 487,484 signatures fell just 17,276 short of the required goal. But supporters of the referendum say they’re not giving up that easily.  Privacy for All Students co-chairs Gina Gleason and Karen England vowed to insist on a careful review of the rejected signatures, especially in San Diego and San Bernardino Counties, where county officials each threw out 14,000 and 13,000 signatures, respectively.  “I don’t be...

Church of England rejects ‘gay blessings’ and will not ordain clergy in ‘gay marriage’

Image
LONDON , February 18, 2014  – In a surprise move, the main governing body of the Church of England has rejected proposals to create a “blessing” ceremony for same-sex “weddings.”  In a  guidance  issued Saturday on same-sex “marriage,” the House of Bishops also said it “is not willing for those who are in a same sex marriage to be ordained to any of the three orders of ministry.”  “Services of blessing should not be provided. Clergy should respond pastorally and sensitively in other ways,” the guidance reads. These other ways could include offering an informal prayer over the partners. “In addition it considers that it would not be appropriate conduct for someone in holy orders to enter into a same sex marriage, given the need for clergy to model the Church’s teaching in their lives.” “Getting married to someone of the same sex would, however, clearly be at variance with the teaching of the Church of England. The declarations made by clergy...

LONDON , January 15, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -  A survey  by a UK pro- homosexual organization found that 52 percent of the self-professed homosexual youth that took part in the study reported self-harming, while numbers approaching half reported other forms of serious mental health problems.  Led by the homosexual advocacy group  Metro  and funded by the Big Lottery Research Fund, the " Youth Chances " survey is described by organizers as "England’s largest social study into the lives of young LGBT people." Seven thousand 16-25 year-olds, most of whom identified as homosexual, bisexual or transgender, took part in the study. It also surveyed a small subgroup of heterosexuals (11% of the total).  The survey found that 52 percent of those questioned reported self-harming. This compares to 35% of the subgroup of heterosexual respondents to the survey. The most recent NHS data puts that number even lower, at 12% overall for this age group....
