Psychologists form new task force to normalize ‘polyamory’

Image
In order to reduce the associated “stigma” for people who practice polyamory, the American Psychological Association (APA) is putting together a task force to study "consensual non-monogamy.” Psychologists based at California universities, who are leading the group, seek to promote "awareness and inclusivity about consensual non-monogamy and diverse expressions of intimate relationships." According to the website for the task force of Division 44 of the APA: "Finding love and/or sexual intimacy is a central part of most people’s life experience. However, the ability to engage in desired intimacy without social and medical stigmatization is not a liberty for all. This task force seeks to address the needs of people who practice consensual non-monogamy, including their intersecting marginalized identities." Division 44 of the APA is the Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity , which seeks to normalize the homosexual and tra...

Reparative Therapy bans based on bad science

Image
Christopher Doyle , a l icensed clinical professional counselor and co-coordinator of the National Task Force for Therapy Equality said the Rhode Island bill is only the latest example of a liberal state using “bad science” to curtail people’s right to seek treatment.   That includes the “born gay” myth, he said. Doyle is a former homosexual who himself practices “ Reparative Therapy ” to help people manage and overcome unwanted same-sex attractions .  “While these gay activists cite ‘potential harm’ for therapy, they fail to include science from the  American Psychological Association's  2014 Handbook on Sexuality and Psychology that says sexual orientation changes throughout the lifespan, with or without therapeutic intervention , for a multitude of individuals!“  Doyle notes that “ Dr. Lisa Diamond , a lesbian herself who is a co-author of the APA Handbook, has told gay activists to stop saying ‘people are born gay’ because her own research a...

New Mexico bans therapy for minors with unwanted gay attractions

Image
New Mexico has become the sixth state to criminalize any professional counseling that helps minors overcome unwanted feelings of same-sex attraction . Republican Gov. Susana Martinez signed SB-121 into law on Friday. The law bans doctors, nurses, and licensed therapists from any attempt to talk to clients about recovering from gay temptation. It also prohibits any professional from helping a boy accept that he is a male or a girl accept that she is a female. The law, which was passed by the Democratic-led state legislature last month, defrocks any therapist who uses "discredited" methods. The legal presumption is that reparative therapy is a "discredited" approach to counseling minors suffering from unwanted homosexual thoughts. Gov. Martinez said she was acting in the best interests of children by signing the bill and cited the American Psychological Association ’s conclusion that same-sex attraction is not only normal, natural, and healthy, but any...

The LGBT fraud has been exposed, and they’re definitely not happy about it

Image
Those who are setting our so-called “values”, such as the small but powerful group of academics, mainstream media, and homosexual activists, do so by attempting to impose strange myths and ideas that have no scientific basis. These myths include the one that homosexuals are “born that way”, can’t change, and must be accepted for “who they are”. Further, those claiming they are a different gender than that with which they were born, i.e. the transgendered, who “feel” they belong to other than their gender at birth, must be accepted as such. The public is supposed to put aside its intelligence and common sense, and respectfully bow collectively in obeisance to these “expert” opinions. These opinions, however, are complete and utter hogwash. We know instinctively that they are not authentic, or worthy of our belief. However, the myth-makers attempt to force their nonsense on us by the heavy hand of the law, claiming that it’s “discrimination” to refuse to accept the myths as t...

NY’s Gov. Cuomo prepares to ban therapy for youth with unwanted same-sex attraction

English: Andrew Cuomo, 11th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and 64th New York State Attorney General as a candidate for Governor of New York, outside of City Hall, little American flags on his tie. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Insurance coverage for reparative therapy for minors with unwanted same-sex sexual attractions is about to become illegal in New York State . However, attempts to change gender are encouraged,   according to a press release from Governor Andrew Cuomo , who said, "We will not allow the misguided and the intolerant to punish LGBT young people for simply being who they are." "Conversion therapy is a hateful and fundamentally flawed practice that is counter to everything this state stands for," continued New York's ostensibly Catholic governor. "New York has been at the forefront of acceptance and equality for the LGBT community for decades – and today we are continuing that legacy and leading by example...

The Truth about Same-Sex Marriage

Image
Lutzer’s The Truth about Same-Sex Marriage reflects his usual careful research and considered judgment, and the culture war he describes, with its various lines of debate and prominent issues of concern, reads like tomorrow’s news. One goal of the book is simply informative, attempting to bring Christians to a more realistic understanding of this culture war. Lutzer exposes the gay activist agenda as one that is very intentional, well organized, and driven by (immorally) idealistic agendas that will not allow the facts or the truth to get in its way. With more than enough well-selected quotes from “the other side” he demonstrates how fierce and relentless this battle is – and, consequently, now naïve the church has been in maintaining its silence. The information provided here regarding the gay agenda itself, and its implications, alone make Lutzer’s book a valuable read. Another goal of the book is to address, specifically, the various arguments that are advanced in attempt to j...

Marco Rubio: Born gay? Science says: No - Republican Candidate says: Yes

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C., April 20, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – This weekend, Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio said that one's "sexual preference" is an inborn trait and cannot be chosen. “You have said you're against gay 'marriage,'” interviewer Bob Schieffer said, casting his eyes away from the Florida senator, to each side on CBS's  Face the Nation  this weekend. “Do you think that homosexuality is a choice?” “It's not that I'm against gay marriage, but I believe the definition of the institution of marriage should be between one man and one woman,” Rubio began. He said those who wish to change the immemorial definition of marriage should engage in a “political debate” and win others to their side, not impose their views from above. “I don't believe that courts should be making that decision, and I don't believe same-sex marriage is a constitutional right.” Then he answered Schieffer's question about genetics. “I...

Same-sex parenting and emotional harm: critiquing the critics

Image
April 9, 2015 ( MercatorNet.com ) -- When a British science journal published  an American study  in January showing that emotional problems are more than twice as prevalent for children with same-sex parents than for children with opposite-sex parents, nobody expected the author, or the journal editors, to escape criticism. The “consensus” within the social science establishment is that the kids being raised by same-sex couples are doing fine, and will do even better if these parents are allowed to marry. Any researcher who finds anything different must be wrong, incompetent and homophobic. What is a little surprising is that scholarly associations would criticise their peer, Paul Sullins, for not doing things which he patently did do in his study, and for benefiting from an allegedly slipshod peer review process that, in fact, is far more rigorous and open than anything their own favourite studies have been subjected to. Such is the quality of briefs submitted by the...
