LGBT group took millions from gov’t, ‘spent lavishly’ on computers, meals

Image
A charity providing the United Kingdom ’s only national domestic abuse hotline for LGBT persons went belly up in 2016 because of negligent government agencies , a profligate CEO and lavish overspending, according to a report by the government’s National Audit Office . Broken Rainbow , which during its 12-year existence received £1.4 million from various government agencies, provided support for LGBT people abused by their partners. Its volunteers fielded more than 450 telephone calls and 849 online contacts a month during its final year of operations. When the government (and majority-funding source) finally shut it down after a flurry of media exposes, the actual service moved seamlessly to another charity. Though the report names no names, CEO Jo Harvey Barringer was the focus of damaging media coverage in 2015 and 2016, when Broken Rainbow operated “hand-to-mouth,” according to the report. Buzzfeed used inside reports from a presumed board or staff member named “Paul...

LGBT values will be pushed on two-year-olds in UK preschools

Image
British children starting in nursery school should be taught to accept as normal all LGBT persons and relationships, according to a motion the National Union of Teachers endorsed at their annual general meeting in Cardiff last weekend. The British government is already committed to making sex and relationship education compulsory at all levels. Nursery schoolers will learn that same-sex parenting is normal and be instructed to spot and avoid inappropriate touching. Seven-year-olds will learn, on the other hand, that masturbation  is appropriate touching. The Sex and Relationship Education (SRE) rewrite will instruct high schoolers to stay away from Internet predators, pornography, and problems posed by sexting. But specific promotion of LGBT persons and sexuality is not included. That led to the motion the teachers passed, reported the London  Telegraph . It calls on all teachers to “campaign to ensure a comprehensive age-appropriate content including promotion ...

UK: Homosexual marriage and homosexual conviction apologies - not enough for LGBT

Image
HOMOSEXUAL ADVOCATES IN THIS ARTICLE STATE  GAY MARRIAGE AND APOLOGIES ARE NOT ENOUGH Gay advocates have now moved beyond gay marriage to schools, the government and now want more changes. The Government's plan to posthumously pardon gay and bisexual men convicted of now-abolished sexual offences in England and Wales is a cosmetic measure which means very little to gay men today. The 1967 Sexual Offences Act finally decriminalised private homosexual acts between men aged over 21 in England and Wales, although the law wasn’t changed in Scotland until 1980, or in Northern Ireland until 1982. The age of consent was only equalised in 1998. Of the 65,000 men convicted under the laws, 15,000 are still alive . SNP MP Jon Nicholson's private member's bill, "talked out" in Parliament on Friday afternoon, would have meant an automatic pardon being granted to them too. That’s all well and good as a symbolic gesture. But we continue to live in a society that ...

Marriage Debate - What Debate?

Image
David Cameron's picture on the 10 Downing Street website (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Mal Fletcher 2020 Plus.net on Same Sex Marriage Debate - What debate? To debate an issue, according to most dictionaries, is to engage in argument by discussing opposing ideas, or to deliberate and consider various views. The freedom to engage in rigorous debate is one of the primary indicators of a healthy society. By any standard definition, the current ‘debate’ about the future status and potential redefining of marriage – and therefore family – which is often mentioned by Prime Minister David Cameron , is no debate at all. As things stand, there is no public and even-handed airing of issues for and against. There is no careful deliberation about what changes made today will mean for society as a whole – psychologically, sociologically or economically. And no consideration is being given to what changes made today might mean for future generations. Instead, we hear in the main only one sid...

Gays want to rewrite entire cultures

Image
David Cameron's picture on the 10 Downing Street website (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Creating “gay marriage,” is an attempt to rewrite the natural law and “recreate society,” says  Mario Conti ,  Archbishop of Glasgow . The bishop’s strong comments as the  European Court of Human Rights  has ruled that there is no such thing as a “right” to “gay marriage” in the  European Convention on Human Rights , a revelation that has yet to put a damper on the  UK government ’s enthusiasm for changing the legal definition of marriage. “It is certainly not the role of law to recreate our society according to passing fashions and ideologies, nor to redefine nature whether in terms of persons and their rights or its natural institutions,” Archbishop Conti said in a homily at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh this weekend. The prelate said that current plans to alter the definition of marriage, promoted by the Conservative government of  David Cameron  as an effo...

Gays sue Christians

Image
David Cameron's picture on the 10 Downing Street website (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Fifteen years ago, hoteliers Peter and Hazelmary Bull made some mocking headlines when reporters noticed their stodgy guest policy: No double rooms for unmarried couples. "You have got to have principles," Mrs. Bull told the Mirror at the time, under the headline "You Couldn't Make It Up." The Bulls had been turning away unwed mini-breakers from their Cornish guesthouse since 1986, and no one had sued them for it yet. It was, after all, no crime to be the least-cool B&B in England. That appears to have changed. Last month a British appeals court upheld a £3,600 ($5,800) fine against the Bulls, who in 2008 turned down Martyn Hall and Steven Preddy for a double room despite their being joined in a civil partnership. The British government has recognized such unions since 2005; the Bulls, born-again Christians , do not. Messrs. Hall and Preddy sued on the grounds that t...

Homosexuals are now becoming the “new McCarthyites”

Image via Wikipedia A Christian medical doctor appointed to a UK government drugs panel has come under fire from opposition politicians and leftist pundits for connecting the homosexual lifestyle with drug abuse and pedophilia. Dr. Hans-Christian Raabe has been appointed to the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD), which advises the government on drugs policy in the UK .  But as medical co-coordinator of a Christian counseling organization, he has said that substance abuse is one reason the homosexual lifestyle is destructive. A briefing paper Dr. Raabe co-authored said, “The media and the gay movement portray the homosexual lifestyle as happy, healthy and fulfilled. However, the homosexual lifestyle is associated with a large number of very serious physical and emotional health consequences.” “A high proportion of homosexual men engage in a destructive lifestyle, for example contracting HIV/Aids or other STIs , and develop addictions to drugs or alcohol,” reads t...
