Incest is ‘no longer taboo’ thanks to contraception/homosexuality, says Australian judge

Image
An Australian judge has been suspended from hearing criminal cases and is under investigation after complaints about his reported comments earlier this year that “incest is no longer taboo,” because of increased availability of abortion and contraception. The Sydney District Court judge aroused the backlash when he compared incest to homosexuality, saying that sexual contact between siblings and between adults and children are no longer seen as “unnatural” or “taboo.” Judge Garry Neilson said during a trial in April that just as homosexuality has been accepted since the 1950s, “a jury might find nothing untoward in the advance of a brother towards his sister once she had sexually matured, had sexual relationships with other men and was now ‘available’, not having [a] sexual partner.” The trial was of a man accused of having raped his sister in the 1970s and again in 1981. At the trial, Neilson said that the 1981 offence was different from the earlier assault because by that...

Teachers cannot opt out of teaching gay ‘marriage’ in school sex-ed classes: Scottish NHS

Image
EDINBURGH,  – While Scottish government draft guidelines currently allow teachers with moral objections to opt-out of certain aspects of the country’s new sex-ed curriculum, several National Health Service boards have objected to the opt-out clause. They are also objecting to provisions allowing parents to opt their children out of the classes. Currently, the guidelines require teachers who have a moral objection to things like teaching about gay “marriage” to opt out, if alternative arrangements are made "where possible." But that’s not good enough, according to a submission from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde .  “It is extremely concerning that teaching staff would be provided an opportunity to refuse to participate in this particular aspect of the curriculum,” said the board, one of the largest in the country.  Sex education can be compared, they said, to “other areas of the taught curriculum where conscience may be a factor and no option to withdraw ...

Anglican bishops in House of Lords were pressured to withdraw from immoral homosexual ‘marriage’ vote

Image
WESTMINSTER ,  – Anglican bishops who sit in the House of Lords and oppose the same-sex “marriage” bill were put under pressure to keep away from the vote on the bill yesterday. John Bingham, Religious Affairs Editor of the Daily Telegraph ,  reported  that “senior officials” of the government had “personally urged bishops to stay away from this week’s vote.”  Bingham explains that there were fears that a large bloc of Christian clergy – 26 bishops are entitled to sit in the House of Lords – voting against the “gay marriage” bill could have an impact on the future of their presence in the House, and even re-open the question of disestablishment of the Church of England . The bishops were reportedly told that the current bill is the “best they can hope for”. The House of Lords Fears that the bill might be defeated with the help of the bishops were unfounded. The bill  passed overwhelmingly  in its first vote, 390 – 148 in favor.  Prior to ...

Young Christians will be locked out of public professions by ‘gay marriage’, ministers warn

Image
British House of Lords LONDON, May 20, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Young Christians will be shut out of all public professions, including teachers, doctors, nurses or any kind of public servant if the “gay marriage” bill is passed, a group of religious leaders has warned the government. The ministers issued the warning in a letter to the Daily Telegraph on the same day that the government came to an agreement with opposition parties over amendments. The bill is expected to move past the committee stage and on to the House of Lords after two days of debate today and tomorrow. Should it be granted Royal Assent “in its present form,” the 17 Christian ministers said, the bill will “isolate hundreds of thousands of young students and workers across the country who hold a fuller view of marriage based on religion or a traditional view.” “These young people, from teenagers to 30-year-olds, will suffer discrimination and face new risks to their careers, and futures,” they added. ‘Gay marriage’ will destroy Tory party’s chances in 2015 election: poll

Image
English: David Cameron's picture on the 10 Downing Street website (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) LONDON February 4, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A ComRes poll released this weekend has shown that Prime Minister David Cameron ’s insistence on pushing through same-sex “marriage” will almost certainly cost him the government at the 2015 election. The poll, commissioned by the group Campaign for Marriage, has indicated just how damaging the issue has been for the Conservative party . It found that 20 per cent of Conservative Party voters agreed with the statement, “I would have considered voting Conservative at the next election but will definitely not if the Coalition Government legalises same-sex marriage”.    The numbers, while suggesting that a small majority of party voters support same-sex “marriage,” also show that the party has lost enough support that it will be impossible to win the next general election.    The marriage bill, described by the gover...

Clergy, legal experts not buying ‘protections’ for churches in UK gay ‘marriage’ law

Image
LONDON , January 30, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Promises of “safeguards” for churches in the UK’s proposed gay “marriage” law are empty and unenforceable, given the UK’s Equalities law and connections to the European Union , according to a top legal expert. According to Aidan O’Neill QC, wording in the bill, scheduled to go to the vote on February 5 th , that he government claims makes it illegal for the Church of England and Church in Wales (Anglican) to conduct same-sex “weddings” is “eminently challenge-able”. O’Neill has told the government that the wording is in fact illegal, and will be overturned straight out of the gate. Aiden O'Neill The comments come in response to a blog post by Maria Milller, the Culture Minister who introduced the bill on Friday, in which she said, “I have always been crystal clear that I simply will not introduce any new law that does not provide protection for all religious organisations and individual ministers of religion. “Our Bill ...

Teachers will be sacked and children will be indoctrinated if gay ‘marriage’ bill goes through

Image
January 28, 2013 ( Pjsaunders ) - The Daily Telegraph carried a  front-page story  this week saying that the Government is ‘powerless’ to stop teachers getting sacked if they refuse to endorse same-sex marriage . It quotes a senior source at the Department for Education admitting that the UK is not ‘in control’ and that European judges will have the final say. We knew that teachers were under threat, but now we know the Government secretly thinks so too. The  Coalition for Marriage  (C4M) recently published a legal opinion from leading QC Aidan O’Neill (summary  here ) confirming that one of the major impacts of David Cameron ’s new law allowing same sex marriage would be in the classroom. It says that the law will require that children learn about gay marriage in sex education lessons. This is because Section 403(1A)(a) of the Education Act 1996 imposes a duty on the Secretary of State ‘to issue guidance’ ensuring that pupils ‘learn the natu...

Guy Sebastian's immature faith and homosexuality

Image
GUY Sebastian has been forced to defend himself following his recent admission that he has moved away from the fundamentalist Christian movement that shaped his early years. The Battle Scars singer - who recently admitted his religious beliefs had "changed" as he grew older, married and welcomed a child - posted a lengthy statement on his Facebook page in response to online backlash from some of his devout Christian fans. He opened up last week about his spiritual outlook admitting his beliefs began to change when a churchgoing friend fled the country after coming out as gay. "He moved countries, he was that scared about the whole religious thing because he was brought up in the church. My friends and I were like, 'Dude, why did you leave, what did you think we would say?' It became not a big deal at all," Sebastian said in a Daily Telegraph interview, adding; " Look at gay marriage . I don't think anyone has the right to tell someone who the...
