Authors of study showing benefits of ‘gender-affirming’ treatment issue ‘correction,’ admit they’re wrong

Image
The authors of a study who claimed “gender-reassignment” procedures brought mental health benefits issued a correction to their 2019 findings, admitting that those who have had “gender-reassignment” surgery “were more likely to be treated for anxiety disorders.” The study, published October 4, 2019 in the American Journal of Psychiatry, purported to show that “gender-affirmation” treatment improves transgender mental health . The study utilized data from the Swedish Total Population Register, with information from more than 9.7 million Swedes, or about 95 percent of the country. The claimed findings from the study led to headlines in mainstream media outlets proclaiming things like “Long-Term Mental Health Benefits of Gender-Affirming Surgery for Transgender Individuals” (American Psychiatric Association), “Sex-reassignment surgery yields long-term mental health benefits” (NBC News), and “Transgender surgery linked with better long-term mental health, study shows” (ABC News)....

LGBT youth attempting suicides still high after legalize homosexual marriage

Image
Recent research concludes that suicide rates are down among non-straight teens and LGBTQ youth overall, but they are still far and apart occurring at a higher rate than straight or cisgender teens. Homosexuals campaigned saying - Gay marriage would reduce teen suicide and they would be accepted and everything would be better.   Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 10-24, and these studies can help address what is causing so many to take their own lives and how our society is failing them. One study published its data in the medical Pediatrics journal, analyzing information from the Youth Risk Behavioral Surveillance Survey collected in six states from 2009 to 2017. Lead study author, assistant professor Julia Raifman from Boston University, wrote that “large disparities in suicide attempts persisted[…]even as the percent of students identifying as LGBQ increased.” The survey combs its data from Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, No...

Forcing same-sex ‘marriage’ on USA didn’t reduce teen suicides after all, study finds

Image
For years, LGBT activists have asserted that society’s refusal to fully recognize homosexuality as indistinguishable from heterosexuality was a key contributor to suicide among young gay Americans, but a new study is challenging the notion that the advent of same-sex “marriage” reduced the suicide rate at all. D. Mark Anderson of Montana State University and the National Bureau of Economic Research, along with Kyutaro Matsuzawa and Joseph J. Sabia of San Diego State University’s Center for Health Economics & Policy Studies, released a paper this month analyzing data from State Youth Risk Behavior Surveys to “explore the relationship between marriage equality and suicidal behaviors among LGBQ-identifying youths.” Their conclusion: We find little evidence that SSM laws have reduced suicide attempts among teen sexual minorities, nor have they decreased the likelihood of suicide planning, suicide ideation, or depression.   Instead, we find some evidence that SSM legali...

LGBTQ: Suicidal Thinking and Behaviors

Image
In his book, Suicide in America, Herbert Hendin, MD (former Executive Director, American Suicide Foundation) offered this common-sense understanding: With all its sexual and social activity, the “gay life” provides no more than an alienated and isolated existence for many homosexuals. Continuity of relationships between two homosexuals is rare, although many homosexuals spend a lifetime seeking it. For those who do seek it, any relationship that offers that possibility is apt to be intensely over invested rather quickly. Since such relationships usually lack social or family support, rejection or disappointment signifies not merely abandonment but despair over the inability to escape emotional isolation. A report speculated: … more than one third of suicides in the total population were committed by homosexual men – figures that put them at least two to three times more likely to commit suicide than the general population. Researchers conclude, “Increased re...

Lawyer behind homosexual ‘marriage’ burns himself to death as eco protest

Image
A pro- LGBT lawyer and homosexual doused himself with fossil fuels and burned himself to death on Saturday morning as part of an environmental protest. Some are calling his suicide a sign of " mental illness ." Many would agree. 'Mental illness issue'  Actor James Woods tweeted that  Buckel’s suicide was a mental health issue, not an environmental policy one. The lawyer was David Buckel, a 60-year-old who previously worked as the Marriage Project Director for Lambda Legal , a law firm that specializes in cases related to transgenderism, homosexuality, and same-sex “marriage.” Buckel was a homosexual and leaves behind a college-aged daughter, Hannah. He and his gay partner “co-parented Hannah with another couple, Rona and Cindy Vail,” the  New York Daily News  reported. A broken confusing family now gives clear evidence that the LGBT experiment is simply dangerous to families.  Buckel left a suicide note in a shopping cart near where his charred...

The false script: Homosexual youth are suicidal

Image
During adolescence, dealing with emerging sexuality becomes a critical developmental task. The normal difficulties associated with this developmental process are heightened for homosexual minority youth who must simultaneously negotiate the stigma and sin of homosexuality. Adolescence is defined by multiple developmental transitions; and that multiple stressful transitions may put adolescents at risk.  This is a useful lens through which to view the developing awareness of sinful homosexuality. Managing the transition into the awareness of homosexual minority status is stressful like all adolescent developmental challenges but more so because it potentially involves fundamental changes in the significant relationships that structure adolescents’ lives: family, friends and peers, teachers, and other caring adults. The media happily promote sinful homosexual as something good and healthy, their music world approves it, movies promote it but Christianity calls it a sin. ...

Westpac Bank lied - homosexual marriage saves 3000 suicides

Image
Westpac bank slammed for 'blackmailing' staff after it mass-emailed employees to vote 'yes' to same sex marriage using 'fudged statistics.' Westpac's youth network emailed 10,000 staff urging them to vote yes to SSM Called vote a 'no brainer' and claimed it would prevent 3,000 suicides a year. Email slammed as emotional 'blackmail' and a 'bad precedent' for the bank Statistic actually referred to suicide attempts that could be averted. Westpac sent an email to staff urging them to vote yes to gay marriage, claiming it would prevent 3,000 suicides a year. The message from the bank's youth network, representing staff under 30, was sent to 10,000 of 40,000 staff and called voting yes a 'no brainer'.  But the bank admitted its statistic used in the email was a mistake and actually referred to research only talking about suicide attempts. 'We said that we would get that information clarified to the staff and we...

Parents question daughter’s ‘transgender’ transition after her suicide

Image
A 13-year-old Alabama girl committed suicide just before the Memorial Day holiday weekend.   She was born Jane Marie Georgia. She died ‘Jay Griffin’ Georgia, a year after her parents opened the door for Jane Marie to start living as a boy.   Looking back, the grieving parents now wonder if perhaps supporting their child’s gender identity "transformation" actually added stress to her life rather than reducing it.    In an  interview  with AL.com, parents Matt and Erin said, “Jay was not ready to come out to the world in the sixth grade. Jay wasn't really ready at the end,'' she said. "It's a very personal process, but the schools have always been very attentive.” Erin, who continues to refer to daughter Jane Marie as ‘Jay,’ said the youth battled depression and anxiety. “We were under the care of a psychologist from day one.” Jay attended group therapy and in February started taking medication. She continued, “We would have highs and low...

Transgender and high suicide rates

Image
Studies that have been done of transgendered people who have had sex reassignment surgery , people who have been followed for 20 or so years have found that after 10 years from the surgery, that their suicide mortality rate was actually 20 times higher than the non-transgendered population. So I’m very concerned that here we are encouraging young people to do things to their bodies … like chest binding for young girls … [and] penis tucking … Now this is taking kids on a trajectory that may well cause them to want to take radical action, such as gender reassignment surgery…  – Lyle Shelton , managing director of the Australian Christian Lobby , speaking on Q&A on February 29, 2016. Australia’s  Safe Schools Coalition  program has been accused of  “promoting a radical view of gender and sexuality”  in schools. The program’s architects say it aims to boost acceptance of same sex attracted, intersex and gender diverse students, staff and ...

Research: Born Gay - Suicide due to stigma all wrong

Image
Accurate, replicable scientific research results can and do influence our personal decisions and self-understanding, and can contribute to the public discourse, including cultural and political debates. When the research touches on controversial themes, it is particularly important to be clear about precisely what science has and has not shown. For complex, complicated questions concerning the nature of human sexuality, there exists at best provisional scientific consensus; much remains unknown, as sexuality is an immensely complex part of human life that defies our attempts at defining all its aspects and studying them with precision. For questions that are easier to study empirically, however, such as those concerning the rates of mental health outcomes for identifiable subpopulations of sexual minorities, the research does offer some clear answers: these subpopulations show higher rates of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide compared to the general population....
