Religious Freedom is now gone in the USA

Image
All across America , LGBT extremists are working overtime to force devout Christians and other people of faith to personally participate in celebrating a same-sex ' marriage ' even when doing so violates their deeply held religious beliefs. Those who have refused to abandon God 's commands when it comes to marriage have been hit with lawsuits and huge fines, lost their jobs and even been put in jail.  This must stop, For years, LGBT activists lied to Americans about gay 'marriage,' claiming that redefining marriage to suit their demands would not hurt anyone. Instead, people's lives have been ruined and the sexual extremists are intent on forcing every person in America to genuflect at the altar of gay "rights." It is outrageous that gay and lesbian extremists have been allowed to discriminate against, harass and punish Christians and others when it comes to marriage. Fortunately, the Mississippi legislature is on the precipice of enacting ...

NFL threatens Atlanta with losing Super Bowl over bill protecting gay ‘marriage’ objectors

Image
The new NFL logo went into use at the 2008 draft. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The National Football League (NFL) says Atlanta could be left out of consideration for hosting a Super Bowl if new legislation is enacted that aims to protect the conscience rights of citizens who oppose same-sex “marriage.” “NFL policies emphasize tolerance and inclusiveness, and prohibit discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other improper standard,” spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement. “Whether the laws and regulations of a state and local community are consistent with these policies would be one of many factors NFL owners may use to evaluate potential Super Bowl host sites.” The bill itself combines several pieces of legislation that passed the state legislature last week. It allows pastors to not perform same-sex "marriage" ceremonies and allows religious-based groups to make hiring and retention decisions based upon religious belie...

Leaders cave into LGBT lies and agenda

Image
Betrayal: In Georgia, turncoat Republican Governor Nathan Deal just vetoed an extremely modest bill to protect pastors and churches from having to participate in same-sex 'weddings' and give some minor protection to religious schools from having to hire someone who openly opposes their religious beliefs. Deal ignored dozens of examples of discrimination against people of faith that have occurred across the country and instead adopted the approach advocated by LGBT extremists that any accommodation of religious objections to gay 'marriage' amounts to "discrimination" against gays and lesbians. Deal and the extremists demand that every single person, religious organization and small business in Georgia agree to personally participate in a same-sex 'wedding' ceremony if asked, regardless of their deeply-held religious views. Backlash: It is now clear that LGBT extremists and the left will accept absolutely no dissent from the orthodoxy they wish to i...

Stamp out traditional marriage says homosexual advocates

Image
It has long been clear that same-sex marriage activists don't want a fair and even-sided debate. They don't want honest public discourse that hears both sides. They want instead the enforcement of double standards that work to bolster their own side while silencing any opposition. To take one instance: the oft-repeated call to a standard of "live and let live" is not  really  meant to apply equally, to everyone. It isn't meant to apply to people of faith, or those who believe in traditional marriage . No,  such people are supposed to be harassed and harried for their views at every opportunity.  Their businesses should be targeted with nuisance lawsuits, and ultimately they should be forced out of public life altogether unless they wholly embrace the ideology of so-called "marriage equality." Imagine a game—say a football game—where the sides were deliberately matched unevenly. A game with two sets of rules: one for them, and one for us, their opp...

Man of the Year, Ravens star Matt Birk defends traditional marriage

ST. PAUL, MN, October 3, 2012 - Debate in Minnesota on protecting traditional marriage is heating up as the November 6th vote to amend the constitution to affirm marriage as the union of one man and one woman looms and a court case to redefine marriage is underway.  In the wake of Ravens’ linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo and Vikings punter Chris Kluwe stumping for gay ‘marriage’, one of their teammates, the top dog in the NFL for 2012, has taken up a public defense of the family. In  a new online video  launched by the Minnesota Catholic Conference ( MCC ), NFL all-pro Matt Birk discusses his belief in marriage as between a man and a woman, and its importance as a cornerstone social institution. NFL star Matt Birk Birk, the 2012 NFL Man of the Year, Minnesota native, and practicing Catholic, also talks about the importance of both mothers and fathers for children, the pending court case in Minnesota’s Hennepin County to redefine marriage, and his p...

Using Gay Slurs

Image
Image via Wikipedia Sports have often been used as a kind of educational tool. This is one reason people share a fanatical bond with their favorite sport.  For many, a game, season, or team remains forever branded in their memory because of the lessons learned and experiences derived from it. Sports can instruct in discipline, work ethic, teamwork, and submission to authority. Recently the NBA decided to use  an ad to take on a controversial subject matter: the bullying of homosexuals . In the ad the NBA focused particularly on the use of “gay slurs” in sports and other activities. In so doing they have made a bold value statement that Christians should take note of. The NBA ad comes in response to the rising number of news reports about professional athletes using gay slurs in a wide variety of situations.  Kobe Bryant of the LA Lakers made headlines when  he decided to use profanity and gay slurs  towards a referee after being called for a tech...

Super Bowl star: ‘nothing more honorable’ than fighting to preserve traditional marriage

Image
Image via Wikipedia In the lead up to a vote on gay “marriage” in New York , a former NFL football star has spoken out in favor of preserving traditional marriage , saying that allowing homosexual couples the status of marriage would mark a critical moral turning point towards “anarchy” in America . “What I know will happen if this does come forth is this will be the beginning of our country sliding toward, it is a strong word, but anarchy,” said former New York Giants wide receiver David Tyree in  a video  for the National Organization for Marriage . “The moment we have, if you trace back even to other cultures, other countries, that will be the moment where our society in itself loses its grip with what’s right. It’s about what’s right.” Fox News New York noted that Tyree is best known for making a famous catch against his helmet during Super Bowl XLII in 2008, helping the New York Giants win an upset 17-14 victory in the final two minutes of the game. Tyree, a 31...
