European gay activists fail in first bid to block grassroots pro-marriage effort

Image
The first attempt to stop a citizens’ initiative to get the European Union to endorse tradition marriage has failed. The “Mum, Dad & Kids” initiative must first gather 1 million signatures by December 11, and then be approved by the European Commission for submission to the European Parliament , and then be approved by a majority of MEPs . As hard as that is likely to prove, the powerful, publicly-funded European branch  of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA Europe ) recently requested that the Court of Justice of the European Union overturn the European Commission’s decision to register the initiative in the first place. But the CJEU has summarily dismissed the request. As the conservative Agenda Europe website has reported, the court declared the request “manifestly inadmissible.” Such decisions by the European Commission are final and not appealable. But the ILGA has other plans to derail the initiative before it...

Slovak government drops gay agenda in hopes of getting re-elected

Image
The socialist government of Slovakia has dropped its National Action Plan for advancing the LGBT agenda in the predominantly Roman Catholic country , according to a gay rights advocacy group funded by the European Union . The retreat is a victory for the Alliance for the Family (AZR), a coalition of church and civil organizations that has opposed the Social Democratic government's efforts to develop a National Action Plan for LGBT rights to please the European Union. According to ILGA ( International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association ) Europe , "The Slovak government abandoned its plan to adopt a National Action Plan on LGBTI Equality, stating it should be a matter for the next government." ILGA pronounced itself "very disappointed and dismayed" at the Jan. 13 announcement. The next parliamentary elections are set for March. Four years into the drafting by the usual coalition of bureaucrats and operatives from pro-LGBT human...

Italy’s highest court rejects attempt to force ‘gay marriage’, but pushes for civil unions

ROME– Italy ’s highest court has ruled that it is not “discrimination” for Parliament to refuse to create “ gay marriage ” but that the “rights” of  homosexual persons must be upheld by a “protective statute.” The Court of Cassation, the country’s constitutional court, rejected an appeal brought by homosexual activists in an attempt to force the redefinition of marriage . With its constitutional definition of the family as “a natural society founded on marriage,” and with strong public opinion against “gay marriage,” Italy remains one of the last holdouts in the European Union to have not granted legal recognition to homosexual partnerings. That situation, however, has been under a constant barrage of litigation and lobbying efforts in the courts and Parliament, pressure that has increased significantly in the last three years. In its ruling this week, the court rejected the proposal that “the absence of a law for gay marriage produces discrimination.” But it followed this w...

EU pressure on homosexuality complicates EU-Africa summit

Image
Countries using the Euro de jure Countries and territories using the Euro de facto Countries in the EU not using the Euro (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) April 4, 2014 ( C-FAM ) - European pressure on African nations to change laws on homosexuality has created a backlash that may threaten this week's meeting between leaders of the two continents European officials have been scrambling to appease African leaders ahead of this week’s summit of EU and African leaders in Brussels . The summit is meant to address a host of issues on which the EU and Africa cooperate. Homosexuality is not one of them. African governments reacted negatively when the European Parliament passed a resolution last month threatening sanctions on countries that punish homosexual acts. The resolution was a response to Uganda and Nigeria toughening sodomy laws and outlawing the promotion of homosexuality and same-sex marriage. The European Parliament asked that the governments of Uganda and Nigeria no l...

Gender ideology pushed at EU through bogus data methods: pro-family groups

Image
BRUSSELS ,– Pro-family organisations are again sounding the alarm across Europe at an attempt by homosexual activist EU politicians to force member states to teach children “gender ideology” under the guise of mandatory “sex education,” programmes that would include promotion of homosexual activity as normative. At the same time, the groups are calling foul on the methods used to obtain the data being used to back the effort, accusing the EU’s Fundamental Rights Agency of fabricating data to bring about a foregone, ideologically motivated conclusion. Some time between February 3 rd  and 6 th  the European Parliament   is expected  to debate and vote upon the report by Ulrike Lunacek , an Austrian MEP and the co-president of the European Parliament’s homosexual rights group. The Lunacek Report, titled “Roadmap against homophobia and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity,” seeks to force all member states to implement a “sex...

Sleazy gay men who just want boys

Image
This article contains graphic true language of the sinfulness of homosexual sin. I have to thank Michelangelo Signorile and other gay writers who have come forward in the  Huffington Post,  and elsewhere, in response to the discussion of Dustin Lance Black 's relationship with a nineteen-year-old boy. After decades of false pretenses, they have at last come clean with the American public, and admitted that the gay movement cannot succeed unless taboos against man-boy sex are at last knocked down.  I had tiptoed around the issue until this week. I had been attacked as "anti-equality" and "anti-gay" for over a year, even without bringing up what I knew about the rampant pederasty ( sex between men and teenagers, as opposed to pedophilia, which is sex between men and children.) Even as my defense of children's rights made me vulnerable to charges of conspiring with evil homophobic rubes, I was holding back an even more difficult dimension of my opp...

Brussels archbishop did not OK homosexual civil unions: spokesman

Image
Belgian media last week claimed that the new archbishop of Brussels , widely hailed in the Catholic Church and excoriated by the secular media  as a “conservative” , said through a spokesman that he has “no objections to civil unions between gay men."  This week, however, archdiocesan media spokesman Jeroen Moens told LifeSiteNews.com that his comments had been “misrepresented” in the press, and that the archbishop does not support homosexual civil unions.  Archbishop Andre-Joseph Leonard Moens was quoted by the Dutch language online news  site De Tijd  saying that Archbishop Andre-Joseph Leonard, has “no objection against civil unions between gay men,” adding: “Do not call it gay marriage, but a gay relationship.” Moens had reportedly said, “Let us say that Monsignor Leonard endorses a gay commitment.” The comments were published as a response to an interview with Leonard’s predecessor, the notoriously liberal Cardinal Godfried Danneels , who ...
