British Christian Actress Fired Over Biblical Beliefs May Face $414,000 In Legal Fees

Image
British actress Seyi Omooba is facing massive legal fees after she sued the theater and her former agency for what was seen as homophobic Facebook posts. The day after the Christian was cast in the production of The Color Purple, the emergence of an old Facebook post in which she quoted the Bible was discovered. In a post from September 2014, Omooba stated that Christians should take a stand against homosexuality. “It is clearly evident in I Corinthians vi, 9-11 what the Bible says on this matter,” she stated back in 2014. “I do not believe you can be born gay, and I do not believe homosexual practice is right.” With her career in ruins, the 25-year-old is sued, saying she was a victim of religious discrimination. The actress was also no longer even invited to auditions. However, she has been unsuccessful in her case and now faces a massive legal bill. The judges with the Employment Tribunal London who heard Seyi Omooba’s case said her claims for discrimination, breach of contract, and...

Justices Thomas and Alito lash out at the decision that cleared way for same-sex marriage

Image
Justice Clarence Thomas, joined by Justice Samuel Alito, lashed out on Monday at the religious liberty implications of the Supreme Court's 2015 decision that cleared the way for same-sex marriage nationwide. Thomas wrote that the decision, Obergefell v. Hodges, "enables courts and governments to brand religious adherents who believe that marriage is between one man and one woman as bigots, making their religious liberty concerns that much easier to dismiss." Thomas' strong opinion came down on the first day of the court's new term and reflects the fact that critics of the landmark opinion from five years ago that was penned by now-retired Justice Anthony Kennedy, are still infuriated by its reasoning. They believe the court should have left the decision to the political arena and have long said that it will infringe upon the rights of those who have religious objections to same-sex marriage. Supporters of LGBTQ rights are fearful that the court is poised to contin...

Canadian city bans help to overcome unwanted same-sex attraction

Image
The new bylaw comes with fines of up to $10,000 or a year-long prison term for any business, extremely broadly defined, that offers 'conversion therapy.' A Canadian city banned businesses from offering help to those with unwanted same-sex attraction. In a 14-1 final vote yesterday, the Calgary City Council passed the third reading of the “Prohibited Businesses Bylaw-20M2020” (page 531), making it become law. The new bylaw 20M2020 makes it illegal for a business to offer help to those with unwanted same-sex attraction. The bylaw comes with fines of up to $10,000 or a year-long prison term for those found to violate the law. It also bans the advertising of so-called “conversion therapy” services.  Marty Moore, a lawyer for the Alberta-based Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), said that bylaw 20M2020 constitutes a violation of one’s freedom and conscience rights. “Calgary’s bylaw violates individuals’ Charter rights and freedoms, includi...

Florist takes her case to the Supreme Court… again

Image
If you aren’t familiar with Barronelle Stutzman’s case, you need to be (watch above). Barronelle is a 74-year old grandmother and florist who was sued by Washington State and by the ACLU after she declined to participate in a gay wedding. She serves gay people in her store.  She has even hired gay people to work in her store. But she is a Christian and cannot in good conscience lend her talents to help celebrate a gay wedding. So when a gay man whom she had served for nine years in her store asked her to participate in his gay wedding, she told him that she could not because of her relationship with Jesus. She was apologetic, but she nevertheless did the right thing according to her Christian conscience. Word got out on social media about what happened, and the government and the ACLU sued her for violating anti-discrimination law. Her case went all the way to the Supreme Court, and the court ruled in her favor, vacated the Washington State court’s decision, and ordered th...

Ruling in Marriage and Filmmaking Case a Victory for Religious Freedom

Image
The Story:  A recent federal appeals court ruling is a significant victory for free speech and religious freedom. The Background:  Carl and Angel Larsen are professional storytellers who use film and their artistic abilities to help their clients tell their own stories. The Larsens wanted to bring their talents to the wedding industry and use their gifts to promote their religious beliefs about marriage—but Minnesota’s government refused to let them do so. According to state officials, a Minnesota law mandates that if the Larsens tell stories that are consistent with their beliefs about marriage (i.e., that marriage is between a man and a woman), then they must tell marriage stories that violate their beliefs as well (e.g., that same-sex couples can be legitimately married). If they decline to do so, the Larsens would face steep fines and even up to 90 days in jail. The couple has challenged the law in federal court, but their case— Telescope Media Group v. Lindsey...

10-year-olds suspended for not wanting to participate in LGBT lesson

Image
Two UK 10-year-olds were suspended from school for a week after asking to be exempted from a 'Pride' month lesson in their UK public school, Heavers Farm Primary School in Croydon, South London. When 10-year-old Kaysey (pictured above), and another student, Farrell, asked if they could be excused from a lesson on LGBT 'Pride' month, they were allegedly subjected to accusations of 'homophobia' by the teacher. And then, later, they were suspended from school by the principal of the school , Susan Papas, who allegedly subjected the children to more harassment and haranguing, and 5 hours of detention. It is not only morally and psychologically wrong, it is also mean-spirited, to subject 10-year-olds to such treatment.  A Selhurst Primary School which held a "pride march" has been threatened with legal action by a conservative Christian lobbying organization after a mum claims her son was forced to take part in the event against his religious ...

Footballer posts 1 Corinthians 6 - then get sacked

Image
Rugby Australia chairman Cameron Clyne has unloaded on Israel Folau while defending his organisation’s decision to terminate the ex-Wallaby’s contract because of a tweet. But his comments conflict with RA Ralene Cole's comments and clearly display Clyne has completely mismanaged this growing religious war and he doesn't understand the dynamics of the situation.  Israel Folua posted 1 Cor 6 which lists sinners who reject Christ go to Hell and encouraged by the love of Jesus to call many to repentance.....then he got sacked. In an interview with Nine newspapers after the two parties failed to reach an agreement over the former Wallaby’s sacking in Sydney on Friday, Clyne said the game had no other option. “(The alternative] would be that we’d have no sponsors at all because no sponsor has indicated they would be willing to be associated with social media posts of that sort and that includes government, because we’ve also heard from them,” he said.   Which Government...

Israel Folau case has been mishandled from the start; is it too late to make things right?

Image
Israel Folau and I don’t have much in common, but two things we share. The first is that we are both committed Christians within the evangelical tradition of faith. We take the Bible seriously as a book inspired by God. That helps me to understand Folau’s desire to share his beliefs ― his heart, his motivation, his passion. The second thing we have in common is that neither of us is theologians. Nevertheless, I do have to agree with Folau’s apparent view that any particular category of a sinner is going to hell because their identified sins are egregious. To be sure, in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Paul does give a list of wrongdoers who will not inherit the kingdom of God, and Folau was paraphrasing this passage.  However, passages of this kind are only open to one interpretation. It is in the first eight chapters of his letter to the Romans that Paul sets out in a systematic way the Christian gospel. In Romans 3:23 he wrote that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God....

Under Siege Again: Transgender Sues Colorado Baker

Image
You’d think the moral bullies would leave Jack Phillips alone. The Colorado baker had declined to make a cake for a same-sex wedding due to his religious beliefs, and gay activists went after him. They pulled in the Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission. Now’s he’s back under fire. Even after his victory at the Supreme Court in June of last year. The majority held that Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission was wrong to punish him for refusing to make a same-sex wedding cake. The State’s Anti-Religious Bias They didn’t rule on whether a baker could refuse based on religious beliefs to service LGBT members. The court stated that the state agency has subjected Phillips to anti-religious bias. The agency described his Christian religion as “one of the most despicable pieces of rhetoric that people can use.” Phillips filed a lawsuit against the state’s civil rights agency over the mistreatment. But his troubles weren’t over. Transgender Autumn Scardina called his business requesting ...

Chick-fil-A and LGBT Zealots

Image
The Trump administration is investigating two airports for possible religious discrimination against the Christian-owned Chick-fil-A after the chicken franchise was denied contracts. LGBT advocates hate the fact that the owner is a Christian who support Biblical marriage and not fake homosexual marriage. Liberals are livid and have violated religious discrimination laws. On Friday, the Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that it is looking into airport bans of Chick-fil-A.  “The Department has received complaints alleging discrimination by two airport operators against a private company due to the expression of the owner’s religious beliefs,” DOT said in a statement. “FAA’s Office of Civil Rights has notified the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) that it has opened investigations into these complaints,” it added. Federal regulations prohibit airports from excluding persons on the basis of religion from par...

LGBTQ Caucus Kills ‘Save Chick-Fil-A’ Bill in Texas

Image
The newly formed LGBTQ Caucus killed a religious freedom bill in the Texas House of Representatives on Thursday, which was crafted in response to the San Antonio City Council banning Chick-fil-A from its International Airport over “anti-LGBTQ behavior.” Republican Texas state Rep. Michael Krause sponsored the “Save Chick-fil-A” bill (or House Bill 3172 ) to protect “religious beliefs and moral convictions, including beliefs and convictions regarding marriage.” The legislation would have “prohibited adverse actions by government” based on support or membership of religious organizations. Democratic state Rep. Julie Johnson, one of the five members on the LGBTQ Caucus, used a parliamentary action to delay, then ultimately kill the bill. “Bills like this are hurtful. They cause pain,” Johnson told CNN Friday. “We can’t allow religion to be a cover for discrimination.” Krause defended the legislation in April, stating that “it protects Ben & Jerry’s as much as it protects Chick-fi...

Christian Footballer sacked over the Bible - calls for Raelene Castle to quit

Image
Wallabies coach Alan Jones blew up in a furious on-air tirade Folau was found guilty of the “high level” breach. A three-person independent panel of chair John West QC, Rugby Australia (RA) representative Kate Eastman SC and the Rugby Union Players’ Association-appointed John Boultbee handed down the verdict and have now retired to decide on Folau’s sanction following an epic code of conduct hearing in Sydney. RA boss Raelene Castle issued Folau with a breach notice last month following his controversial social media posts about homosexuals and other “sinners” and threatened to tear up his four-year, $4 million contracts. Raelene Castle should quit as she has turned Rugby into PC politics.  The 30-year-old devout Christian took to Instagram to proclaim “hell awaits” for “drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars, fornicators, thieves, atheists, idolators”. Termination of his contract is now a possibility. After defending Folau on the airwaves this morning, Jones — who c...

Crush any resistance

Image
Homosexual Tim Gill, the Denver-based philanthropist, and top LGBT bully and megadonor, practices what he calls a “punish the wicked” strategy against conservative Christians.  “...our work isn’t done until every discriminatory law, every church, every Christian bigotted views in this nation are wiped away. The time has come in this country for comprehensive LGBT non-discrimination protections.” CRUSH AND PUNISH ANY CHRISTIAN OR ANY CHURCH OBJECTING TO HOMOSEXUALITY That's right - this is the LGBT ideology laid bare they agenda is to destroy the only opposition to homosexuality - the church and Christians. We are in dangerous times when people want to remove - freedom of speech and freedom of worship. We live in dangerous times when the wealthy want to manipulate people into their ideology. THAT'S CORRECT - PUNISH YOU FOR RESISTING HOMOSEXUALITY Scardina took this political game plan to heart . According to Phillips, Scardina requested custom cakes fr...

Transgender Lawyer and Bully takes Christian Cake maker to court again

Image
Jack Phillips owes Autumn Scardina (transgender lawyer above) and the Colorado Civil Rights Commission a thank you.  WHY? Phillips owns the Masterpiece Cakeshop in Lakewood where he employs his artistry in designing custom cakes. On June 4, 2018, the US Supreme Court ruled in his favor on a now-famous case about his refusal, based on religious beliefs, to custom-design a cake celebrating the marriage of a gay couple in 2012. At that time, Phillips offered, instead, to sell them any standard cake off the shelf. Scardina is an activist, transsexual lawyer who has been pursuing a vendetta against Phillips and his beliefs.   It’s clearly no coincidence that on June 26, 2017, the very day that SCOTUS agreed to hear Phillips’ case, Scardina called the cake shop requesting that Phillips design a custom cake with a blue exterior and a pink interior to symbolize Scardina’s transition from male to female (get it? ─ symbolizing Scardina as a man in appearance but really a woman...

Homosexual activists force Christian couple’s wedding magazine to shut down

Image
A wedding magazine published by a Christian couple in Australia was shut down by a targeted campaign to drive away their advertisers because the magazine did not show same-sex couples. "Last year, the Australian law was changed to allow same-sex couples to marry," Luke and Carla Burrell wrote in a blog post entitled Farewell. "Since then, we have been asked repeatedly why our magazine had not yet featured all couples … we’ve experienced a flood of judgment." As the Burrells tried to reflect on where they stand on the issue of showing same-sex "marriages" in their publication, LGBT activists flexed their financial muscle to force them to either comply with their wishes — or shut down. "Instead of allowing us the space to work through our thoughts and feelings, or being willing to engage in brave conversations to really hear each other’s stories, some have just blindly demanded that we pick a side," wrote the Burrells. "We’re not about sides,...
