LGBT Activists Demand Businesses Cut Ties With Church After Sermon on Transgender Issues

The Crossing Church from Columbia, Missouri, has been in the news recently — and for all the right reasons. Just last month, the church garnered national attention when it helped members of its community pay off unpaid medical bills. Through a partnership with RIP Medical Debt, a nonprofit organization that helps people pay off outstanding medical debt, church members donated more than $430,000, which was used to pay off more than $43 million of medical debt by negotiating with debt collectors. At the time, Pastor Keith Simon explained the motivation behind his congregation’s generosity:  “We do this because we feel like God has been incredibly gracious to us. He’s paid our debts. We think those who follow Jesus should be radically generous with their time, their talent, their treasure.” Today, the Missouri church is in the news for something else: Its pastor preached a sermon on Oct. 13 titled “Male and Female. Ancient Text. Modern Debate.” Using Genesis 1:27 as hi...

What is the gay activist endgame?

Image
Time magazine recently ran a cover story on South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg and his husband. Greta LaFleur, an assistant professor in gender and sexuality studies at Yale University, complained in the Los Angeles Review of Books that “this photo is about a lot of things, but one of its defining features is its heterosexuality.” Worse yet, it is “offering us the promise that our first gay first family might actually be a straight one.” Blink your eyes, clean your glasses, do whatever you need to do to make sure you read that right. It’ll still come out just as crazy. Still in spite of that, I can see how it might make sense from a hard-core gay activist point of view. Here’s the message: Same-sex marriage shatters some of the norms of heterosexual marriage and morality, but not nearly enough of them. It has to destroy them all. LeFleur wants gayness that demolishes whiteness, and marriage without men, whether straight or gay. She wants an end to family, even gay families. And she wa...

Abbott's offense? Supporting natural marriage. “I hope you f---ing go to Hell because of your stance on gay marriage,” the violent gay activist yelled, face-to-face with the governor, according to Abbott spokesman Matt Hirsch, in full view of Abbott's wife, Texas ' First Lady Cecilia Abbott, and their daughter. Then, the unidentified same-sex "marriage" supporter threatened the Texas governor.  "I'll see you on the plane," he said, as Texas troopers traveling with Abbott told the man to step away. The incident happened at John F. Kennedy International Airport , where officials pulled the man who accosted the governor off the flight, gave him a hotel room for the night, and put him on another flight the next day. Media coverage of this gay "m...
