Watoto Children's Choir bannded - because their church speaks the truth on homosexuality

Image
MP Stuart Robert has called a powerful church leader one of the 'great influences' on his life and has allegedly used taxpayers money to visit the church. But the SMH has attempted to smear the MP, Watoto Church, their pastors and elders and choir as being bigots, haters and homophobic. What SMH doesn't accept is God's view on the sin of homosexuality, it's repercussions and its ultimate destiny. Mr Robert called Watoto Church leader Gary Skinner a huge influence in his life - and in his maiden parliamentary speech said the church was an axis for his moral compass. Watoto is a popular Church in Uganda followed by more than 24,000 people across 11 churches and helps children orphaned by war and AIDS. They also have an internationally popular children's choir that travels the globe, that visited Australia last week. A spokesman for Mr Robert said he was a former director of the Australian branch of Watato on an 'unpaid and voluntary basis' and ...

Desmond Tutu would says he would rather go to hell than be with a homophobic God.

Desmond Tutu 2007 at the Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag in Cologne 2007 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Desmond Tutu , a retired Anglican Bishop , who is supposed to adhere to the Bible and who fought against apartheid in South Africa , said on July 26, 2013... “I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this...I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven. No, I would say sorry, I mean I would much rather go to the other place...I am as passionate about this campaign as I ever was about apartheid. For me, it is at the same level.” 1 God is homophobic?  Really?  God, the infinite power of the universe, is afraid of homosexuals ?  What planet does Desmond live on?  Apparently, the god he disagrees with is a wimpy, bigoted, little thing that is unfair and whiney.  No wonder Desmond, in his profound moral wisdom, doesn't want to hang around with him for eternity.  But, where exactly does Mr. Tutu find this weakened...

Desmond Tut won't worship a homophopic God?

When Pope Francis declared last week, “who am I to judge?” in reference to gay people who “seek the Lord,” the media went haywire. Dr. Al Mohler, the president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has a helpful article telling everyone to calm down, as the Pope hardly said anything new. All Christians believe that sinners need to be treated with respect and compassion, as Jesus modeled and commanded. And when a person who is struggling with any sin, and is “seeking the Lord” he should not be judged or condemned, but rather helped and counseled. So, the Pope and I agree on something (I know, it’s a cold day here too). There is another prominent cleric, whom I seldom agree with on the issue of homosexuality, who made a cameo appearance in last week’s prurient media cycle. The colorful Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu has amassed an impressive treasury of struggle credentials (the Apartheid version of ‘street cred’). As a Black man staring down the barrel of White South Afric...

CAPE TOWN, South Africa , - Speaking at a press event in Cape Town during the launch of a UN campaign promoting homosexual "rights," retired Anglican archbishop Desmond Tutu said he would prefer to go to hell than to worship a "homophobic" God or go to "homophobic heaven." "I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven. No, I would say sorry, I mean I would much rather go to the other place," Tutu said at the launch of the UN's "Free and Equal" campaign.  Archbishop Desmond Tutu "I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this, " he said.  Tutu was joined at the "Free and Equal" press event by UN Human Rights High Commissioner Navi Pillay and Justice Edwin Cameron of the South African Constitutional Court .  There they announced the launch of the year-long project, which the  UN's website  describes as a “global public education campaign to promote greater...
