Colombia officially recognizes threesome homosexual union

Image
A group of three homosexual men living in Medellín, Colombia have successfully registered their union with the federal government, according to local media reports. The polyamorous union, which the three refer to as a “trieja” (or “thruple” – as opposed to “pareja” or “couple”) was registered by the city as a “Special Patrimonial Regime of a Thruple” (“Regimen Patrimonial Especial de Trieja”) according to a document provided by the group to the Colombian magazine  Semana . Proponents of homosexual “marriage” have long  denied  that a redefinition of the marital bond would lead to polygamy. However, defenders of the natural family as well as Supreme Court justices , have  argued  that the claim that people have a “right” to “marry” whomever they wish implies the legalization of such unions. Although the union is not a “marriage” under Colombian law, it is a regime of inheritance rights that corresponds to what are called “unions of fact,” which corre...

Mexico’s ruling party clobbered in elections following push for gay ‘marriage’

Image
Mexico ’s Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) has just lost its 86-year dominance of Mexico’s state governments in a massive electoral upset following a new initiative by Mexican president and PRI member Enrique Peña Nieto to amend the constitution to create homosexual “marriage.” For the first time since the PRI was created in 1929, the party no longer holds a majority of state governorships. Out of 17 states holding elections on June 5, the PRI won only five states and lost four states with 19% of the country’s population. The result is that the PRI now holds the governorship in only 15 of the country’s 31 states, with 45% of Mexico’s population. The party is also out of power in the nation’s Federal District . The president’s initiative , announced on May 17, includes a   massive propaganda campaign   to convince public school students and the population in general that homosexuality and transgenderism are normal and morally acceptable, as well as membershi...

Lesbian ex-nun sues Chile in international court for right to teach Catholic religion classes

Image
An ex-nun habituated to homosexual behavior who has been prohibited from teaching Catholic religion classes in Chilean public schools will soon have her case heard by the Inter- American Commission for Human Rights , on the grounds of “discrimination.” Sandra Pavez, who reportedly taught the Catholic religion to public school students for 22 years, was removed from her position in 2007 when her immoral personal behavior became known to both the bishop and the vicar of education of the diocese of San Bernardo , according to commission filings. Although the bishop admonished Pavez to “immediately terminate her homosexual life,” and urged her to seek psychological help for her behavior, she refused. As a result, the diocese sent a letter to Pavez and to the local director of education, informing her that her certificate of suitability for teaching Catholicism had been revoked. She has not taught religion in public schools since that time. The Chilean government mandates that a...

Colombian Senate overwhelmingly rejects homosexual ‘marriage’

Image
English: The President Santos entering to the pentagon, when he was minister of defense of Colombia (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The Senate of Colombia voted down a bill to create homosexual "marriage" yesterday by an overwhelming majority of 51-17, with 32 senators either not present or abstaining. The defeat of the bill means that it will not pass to the lower Chamber of Deputies , and is effectively dead.  However, the country is rapidly approaching a deadline set by the Constitutional Court in a July 2011 ruling requiring homosexual couples to be given benefits similar to those associated with marriage. The defeat followed days of growing protests outside of the Senate building, with demonstrators chanting "I won't shut up, I won't shut up, marriage is between a man and a woman!" "The bill sank because it is not of general interest.  Heterosexual marriage is of public interest because it has to do with procreation and the conservatio...

Colombia’s Constitutional Court gives custody of two boys to American homosexual

Image
Coat of arms of Republic of Colombia. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) May 24, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Colombian government has lost a battle in the country’s ultraliberal Constitutional Court to protect two Colombian children from adoption by an American homosexual activist. The Court has granted custody of two boys, ages 11 and 13 to Chandler Burr , a former perfume critic for the New York Times who is famous for promoting the claim that homosexuality is an inborn trait, an idea contradicted by numerous studies and regarded as unproven by many researchers. Burr’s s attempt to adopt the two Colombian children   ran into trouble   when authorities discovered his homosexuality, which was not revealed to them during the adoption process.  Colombia ’s General Procurator has declared its intention to ask for a nullification of the ruling, on the grounds that it violates the fundamental rights of children , and ignores the Constitutional principle that a fam...

Catholic officials denounce adoption of Colombian children by American homosexual activist

Image via Wikipedia December 14, 2011  - Catholic Church officials have joined the Colombian government ’s prosecutorial wing in opposing the adoption of two children by an American homosexual activist. “The problem is not that the person is single, but rather that he should be a mature person psychologically, emotionally and in his sexual identity,” said Juan Vicente Cordoba, secretary of the Episcopal Conference . “In Colombia adoption to same-sex couples has not been allowed, therefore it hasn’t been awarded to homosexual singles either because the problem is not because the individual is alone, but rather because of his homosexuality,” added Cordoba. As LifeSiteNews   reported yesterday , American homosexual activist Chandler Burr , a journalist, was recently awarded custody of two Colombian children, ages 13 and 10. However, by Burr’s own admission, he never informed authorities of his homosexual orientation ; when it discovered, his custodial rights were withdrawn. ...

Colombia’s highest court orders Congress to recognize homosexual unions

Image
Image by Gord McKenna via Flickr Colombia’s Constitutional Court has issued a decision declaring that homosexual couples constitute a “family,” but stopping short of giving them a right to “marry” each other. In a decision issued yesterday evening, the Court decreed that the issue of “ matrimony ” between two people of the same sex is a matter for the National Congress to decide, and gave legislators two years to take up the issue. According to the decision, the Congress must legislate “in an integral, systematic, and ordered way regarding the rights of same-sex couples with the purpose of eliminating the lack of protection” that exists for their unions. The jurists decreed that if the Congress does not pass legislation on the matter within that period,  “the next day, same-sex couples will be able to go to a notary and legalize their union.” According to the decision, the Congress will be required to pass legislation recognizing the “family” rights of cohabiting homosexu...

Colombian Christians issue joint condemnation of homosexual ‘marriage’ as court decision approaches

Image
Image via Wikipedia The leaders of Colombia ’s major Christian denominations have issued a joint statement asking the nation’s Constitutional Court to protect the institution of marriage and reject a petition to create homosexual marriage as a constitutional “right.” The Court is due to issue its decision on the matter today, following a suit filed by a homosexual couple in January of this year. The statement, which was signed by representatives of the Catholic Church , Evangelical Protestant churches, Methodists , and Anglicans , states that “the bond between two men or two women cannot constitute a true marriage or a true family, and much less can the right to adopt minors be attributed to it.” “Anthropologically and psychologically the integral complementarity of the couple is of a man and a woman, with the purpose of a union in love, of the fruit of love in children and the creation of a family, ” the prelates add. “We respectfully invite the magistrates of the Constitution...
