Are people born gay or straight? Much of the current media sources assume the question is a solved scientific problem with all the evidence pointing toward a biological (probably genetic) basis for a homosexual orientation . Contrary to this perception, the question has been poorly studied (or studied poorly), although there is some evidence on both sides of question. In addition, many of the initial studies, which were highly touted by the media as "proof" for a biological basis for homosexuality, have been contradicted by later, more thorough studies. Maine: Notaries must perform immoral homosexual ‘marriages’ or violate human rights law

BANGOR, December 14, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – In the state of Maine , any notary public who performs marriages may not refuse to perform a same-sex “marriage” for any reason, upon pain of being charged with a human rights violation , according to Maine’s secretary of state. After legalizing same-sex “marriage” in November, Maine in now notifying notaries public who wed heterosexual couples they must provide the same services to homosexuals as of December 29. PORTLAND, Maine , June 5, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - Almost two hundred Maine churches are expected hold a special Father’s Day collection to kick off fundraising in defense of true marriage as the state moves toward November’s referendum asking voters to legalize same-sex “marriage.” “Marriage is under attack in Maine. For the first time in history, gay marriage activists have pursued a ballot measure to redefine marriage.
