Vatican Slams Door Shut On Gay Unions

Image
The Catholic Church has made an official stance on gay marriage, confirming that it “will not bless gay unions”. In a statement Monday, the church has confirmed that it does not support same-sex marriage, saying it “cannot bless sin”. It cannot bless a fake marriage or homosexual marriage. This was the church’s stance in response to the question, “Does the Church have the power to give the blessing to unions of persons of the same sex?” In a written statement, the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, says no. Citing Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation, Amoris Laetitia, writes: “There are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God’s plan for marriage and family.” Senior Rome Correspondent for Catholic News Agency, Hannah Brockhaus, explained in the video below why the Vatican decided to clarify this now and whether people who have homosexual inclinations can receive a blessing from a priest.    Acc...

Christian churches in Northern Ireland forced to declare if they’ll ‘marry’ gays or not

Image
A Northern Ireland government body has backtracked and apologized after writing to churches and asking them to state whether or not they will celebrate same-sex “weddings” while threatening that they would lose their status as marriage officiants for all weddings if they did not reply in less within a month. The Northern Ireland (Executive Formation) Act 2019, the same piece of legislation that introduced new abortion laws into the region, has also legalized same-sex “marriage,” effective from January 13 of this year.   Same-sex “marriage” has been legal in the rest of the UK since 2013, but until this year had not been imposed on Northern Ireland. And a number of Nothern Ireland churches recently received a letter from General Register Office for Northern Ireland (GRO) asking them to complete a form detailing whether would officiate only weddings between people of the opposite sex or whether they would also officiate at so-called same-sex “weddings.” “Although you...

Under Siege Again: Transgender Sues Colorado Baker

Image
You’d think the moral bullies would leave Jack Phillips alone. The Colorado baker had declined to make a cake for a same-sex wedding due to his religious beliefs, and gay activists went after him. They pulled in the Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission. Now’s he’s back under fire. Even after his victory at the Supreme Court in June of last year. The majority held that Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission was wrong to punish him for refusing to make a same-sex wedding cake. The State’s Anti-Religious Bias They didn’t rule on whether a baker could refuse based on religious beliefs to service LGBT members. The court stated that the state agency has subjected Phillips to anti-religious bias. The agency described his Christian religion as “one of the most despicable pieces of rhetoric that people can use.” Phillips filed a lawsuit against the state’s civil rights agency over the mistreatment. But his troubles weren’t over. Transgender Autumn Scardina called his business requesting ...

Pro-homosexual Fr. James Martin: Traditionalists can’t ‘listen’ like Jesus to gay activists

Image
CNN International host Christiane Amanpour – whose show is simulcast now on PBS stations – lit into "homophobia" in the Catholic Church and all " Abrahamic faiths " in her Tuesday show. Her guest was Father James Martin, a controversial figure whose  book is touted  for showing "how the Rosary and the rainbow flag can peacefully meet one another." First, Amanpour and Fr. Martin discussed how Pope Francis is being attacked for being weak on clerical sex abuse – an odd topic considering Amanpour is airing on PBS due to Charlie Rose's "crusty paw" sex abuses. Then she turned to the "massive tsunami" of traditionalists raging against the "compassionate."  AMANPOUR: So, let's turn to your personal situation because you yourself have come across and come really almost to blows, verbally anyway, with the traditionalists in the church. You've written this book, Building a Bridge: How the Catholic Churc...
