Transgender - Danger: Politicians personal views don't match science

Image
Transgender - Politicians personal views don't match science A law that would allow transgender South Australians to have their gender formally recognised without undergoing surgery will eventually pass, Premier Jay Weatherill says. A conscience vote on the proposal was lost in state parliament on Thursday with measures to prevent couples being forced to divorce if a partner transitioned also defeated. The premier has championed the bill but was absent from the evening vote because of a trip to Finland to visit a nuclear waste dump . Mr Weatherill says  "As I understand it, there is a majority of people that support this bill and it will ultimately become law at some point, either later this year or early next year." Politicians ignore science - promote LGBT ideology  Yet Dr. Paul R. McHugh , the Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and former psychiatrist–in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital , who has studied transgender...

Australia: Flinders University adopts transgender lies

Image
Left wing LGBT researchers who read stories about gender transitioning to children as young as five are calling for all state schools to introduce gender-neutral toilets. Work by Flinders University academics, revealed in  The Australian  yesterday, has drawn criticism for introducing Year 1 students to books with transgender characters, such as mothers transitioning to fathers, and concluding that the Safe Schools program should be rolled into primary schools despite the transgender books confusing some of the students involved in an Adelaide trial. This is simply immoral and child abuse.  Authors Clare Bartholomaeus, Damien Riggs and Yarrow Andrew have also called for resources about gender diversity, such as picture books, to be made available to preschool, primary and secondary students, as well as other measures to help schools “create inclusive whole school cultures”.  They recommend South Australia’s Education Department, which approved and orga...

Traditional beliefs ignored in marriage equality debate

Image
Same Sex Marriage (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Opposing change on the basis of deeply held beliefs isn’t bigotry. In recent years there has been a remarkable shift in sentiment across the Western world about same-sex marriage . It may well be that in the next Federal Parliament, if not in this, there will be a majority of MPs who support change. The change in thinking is particularly apparent in the Labor Party . Less than four years ago, party policy was to oppose same-sex marriage. A little more than 10 years ago it voted with the Coalition to include in the Marriage Act a definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. Now, by 2019, MPs who hold that view will no longer be able to have a conscience vote on the matter. The implicit message, regrettably, is that people of devout faith who hold traditional views about marriage are no longer welcome in the party – a position that will be electorally dangerous for Labor in the long term. These are the "true believers...

South Australian Labor politicians ignore the law and try to force immoral homosexuality onto population

Image
Flag of South Australia featuring the Piping Shrike (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A bill to allow for same sex marriage in South Australia is almost certain to face a High Court challenge even if it passes the parliament, its key backer says. Labor MP Susan Close, introduced the bill on Thursday, partly to mark the birthday of her brother who is gay. Should a personal moral agenda dictate  to the rest of the State? Do these politicians do any work, do they represent themselves or their community or their own biased opinions? She strongly supports the reforms but concedes the issue will ultimately be determined by the courts. 'It's not a constitutional problem in the sense that it's perfectly okay for a state to have legislation relating marriage. The issue will only be if the High Court determines that the commonwealth has covered the field in defining marriage as between a man and a woman. Labor MPs will be granted a conscience vote on the bill with Premier Jay W...

Australian federal parliament resoundingly defeats same-sex ‘marriage’ bill

Image
CANBERRA, September 19, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - Australia ’s federal parliament has overwhelmingly voted down a bill that proposed to institute “gay marriage” throughout the country. The bill was resoundingly shut down in a vote of 98 to 42, but observers pointed out that the last vote had only 6 in favour. The movement of public opinion is also towards national legalisation, with a poll last year showing 64 per cent of 270,000 responses in favour of a change. The bill was tabled by Labour MP Stephen Jones who urged activists to “maintain your rage.” The bill did not receive unanimous support from the homosexual community. Homosexual Senator, Dean Smith voted against it, calling his vote “an honest acknowledgement of the special and unique characteristics of the union described as marriage.” Activists have shrugged off the defeat of the national bill, however, saying they have higher hopes for legislation at the state level. They are particularly looking towards Tasmania w...

Rann ignorantly call for immoral gay marriage

Image
Image via Wikipedia South Australia's outgoing premier has called for the Federal Government to legalise same-sex marriage . "Same-sex marriage is an idea whose time has well and truly arrived, n ot to address this discrimination will diminish us as a nation, as a tolerant community." Mr Rann says he will respect those who disagreed, but what does that mean? Does he respect that God calls this action as an abomination a gross violation of his law? How low can Labor go? Rann thought civil unions were an escape clause for those who want to see marriage reserved exclusively for relationships between a man and a woman. Rann clearly does not understand the concept of marriage nor the strong backlash this will create in the Australian community. "It is, quite simply, unfair to prevent same-sex couples from having their relationship, a union that is viewed as equal in every other aspect of the law, being recognised as a legal marriage," he said. Rann simply sees t...
