GLADD doesn't want movies where LGBT die

Image
Recent film and TV seasons have sadly seen an overwhelming overrepresentation of  lesbians and queer women. Suddenly they are everywhere! But GLADD is very upset because many lesbians end up  dying on screen, from  Atomic Blonde  to  Cloud Atlas .  GLADD objects! Stop killing homosexuals make them heroes!  GLAAD stated in a 2016 report , killing off these characters is just not fair. They should be depicted as normal, healthy leaders, prosperous, friendly - all opposites of what their sinful lifestyle in reality is.  Currently, we see homosexual men kiss or hug on screen, but many will walk out of theatres when they show gay sex scenes. Movie directors recognize very clearly when something is being shoved down viewers throats.  As the  GLADD  report noted,  "Over 25 lesbian and bisexual female-identifying characters have died on scripted broadcast and cable television and streaming series since the ...

Tired of gay movie characters?

Hollywood is no doubt flummoxed by the news that a low budget independent Christian message film is outperforming an expensive, highly touted big studio production about a high school boy ‘coming out’ as gay. Variety , daily staple of the entertainment industry,  reported  on Friday:  The nation’s moviegoers look to be turning out in bigger numbers for a Christian-themed independent film than for the first mainstream teen movie with a gay main character. Roadside Attractions ’ “ I Can Only Imagine ,” based on the story of the biggest-selling Christian  song of all time, is looking at an estimated $14 million-plus for the weekend from 1,629 locations, far outdoing earlier estimates of $2 million-$8 million. I Can Only Imagine  is described on its website as “A gripping reminder of the power of forgiveness,” that “beautifully illustrates that no one is ever too far from God’s love—or from an eternal home in Heaven.” The  Variety  r...

Disney Refuses To Cut Gay Part Of 'Beauty And The Beast'

Image
Disney has stated that its upcoming live-action “ Beauty and the Beast ” “has not been and will not be cut” to remove a gay scene that is controversial in Malaysia . Disney has always intended to push the homosexual agenda into every country.  State censors had reportedly cut the scene and approved the film for release, but reports surfaced Monday that the film’s release had been delayed in the Muslim-majority Southeast Asia country, suggesting interference by the studio. Earlier this month, director Bill Condon told a U.K. publication that Gaston’s sidekick LeFou, played in the film by Josh Gad , has “confused” feelings for his friend . Condon characterized one scene as a “nice” “gay moment” in the film. In the U.S., news of Gay Disney’s first openly (to audiences, anyway) character sparked some discussion. Emma Watson , who plays Belle, praised Gad’s “subtle” performance in a recent interview, using a word uttered by many involved in the film to caution viewers against e...

Singapore Anglican bishop: Parents should be ‘strongly advised’ about Beauty and the Beast’s ‘homosexual content’

The Anglican Bishop of Singapore penned a letter to clergy asking them to alert their congregations "about the homosexual content in Disney ’s remake of  Beauty and the Beast ." The film is "scheduled for screening during the March school holidays," Bishop Rennis Ponniah wrote March 11. "Disney films for children's entertainment are usually associated with wholesome, mainstream values. But times are changing at a foundational level." The live-action remake of  Beauty and the Beast  features a  gay subplot  and an " exclusively gay moment " between two male characters. "Parents are therefore strongly advised to provide guidance to their children about this remake of  Beauty and the Beast  and indeed to their children's entertainment choices in a rapidly changing age," wrote Ponniah. He encouraged the faithful to pursue Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depa...

There’s a ‘homosexual scene’ in Disney’s new ‘Beauty and the Beast’ — so theaters won’t show the movie

Image
The upcoming live-action remake of the Disney classic “ Beauty and the Beast ” made waves last week after its director revealed that one of its characters was “confused” about his sexuality. Kids movie director intentionally insert a homosexual scene. But the promise of that moment was enough for one drive-in theater in Alabama to cancel its plans to screen the movie, citing religions reasons. According to the Associated Press , the Henagar Drive-In theater in northern Alabama said in a Facebook post that its operators are “first and foremost Christians ” and will not compromise on what the Bible teaches. They said they would continue to show “family-oriented films” so that customers could “watch wholesome movies.” The theater’s operators reportedly also said they would not feel comfortable taking their grandchildren, ages 11 and 8, to see a movie if it included a homosexual character. “If I can’t sit through a movie with God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business sho...
