Indiana state house approves constitutional amendment banning gay ‘marriage’

Image
INDIANAPOLIS,  – In a startling rebuke to those who say gay “marriage” is inevitable, the Indiana House of Representatives has approved a constitutional amendment protecting marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Representatives passed House Joint Resolution 3 by a wide margin, 57-40. Eleven Republicans joined 29 Democrats in voting against the motion. If the amendment passes the state Senate, Indiana voters will decide its fate in a statewide referendum. That vote may be delayed, since legislators changed the formal wording by deleting a sentence that also barred state recognition of same-sex civil unions. The U.S. Supreme Court cited the existence of civil unions as part of its reasoning in allowing a lower judge's ruling striking down California's state constitutional marriage protection amendment . The new wording would require another General Assembly vote, meaning it would not be on the ballot until November 2016. However, if the state Senate...

Liz Cheney flip-flops on gay ‘marriage,’ now claims she opposes it (video)

JACKSON HOLE, WY, August 30, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Liz Cheney , the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney , is telling voters in Wyoming she has changed her stance on same-sex “marriage.” Running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate , Cheney accused incumbent Republican Mike Enzi of lying about her record on marriage and abortion in a “push-poll.” Liz Cheney, left, with sister Mary “I am not pro-gay marriage,” Cheney claimed in a  press release  on Friday. “I believe the issue of marriage must be decided by the states, and by the people in the states, not by judges and not even by legislators, but by the people themselves.” That conflicts with her previous support for same-sex “marriage. In 2009, a reporter on MSNBC asked, “How do you feel about the California Supreme Court's decision [on Proposition 8], and what do yo think the Obama administration should do on the question of same-sex 'marriage'?” Liz Cheney replied, “We...

Pro Homosexual advocates constantly lie

Image
The "big lie" that same-sex marriage is supposedly "inevitable." By telling us that it's inevitable we'll lose, gay marriage advocates are pursuing a strategy designed to encourage our surrender. One of the tactics that homosexual advocates have taken to advance their "inevitability" strategy in recent months is aimed right at a core element of our base of supporters — people who consider themselves Republicans. Just last week a coalition of gay groups including the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) began an advertising campaign touting statements from various former GOP officials like Colin Powell and Dick Cheney . Perhaps Laura Bush , who was also featured in the ad from the mis-named "Respect for Marriage" coalition, didn't get the memo on inevitability. Immediately after learning that she had been featured in their ad, she demanded that her image and comments be removed. The HRC coalition had little choice but to comply. Thi...

HRC trying to fool the public on Homosexual Marriage

White House photo by Krisanna Johnson (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) In just a few weeks, the Supreme Court will consider whether or not to impose gay marriage on the entire country. That's right — marriage in all 50 states hangs in the balance! Nine Justices will soon rule on whether or not our core civil right to vote for God's vision of marriage will be upheld — and, in California, restored. On March 26, the nine Justices meet to consider oral arguments in the Prop 8 case, as well as the Federal DOMA law.  The bottom line issue for the Court is:  do the voters of California (or nationwide) have the right to define marriage as the union of husband and wife ?   Or, will we be stripped of that right, and this time-tested, cross-cultural, common-sense and — yes, also Biblical — vision of marriage be redefined as just rank and ugly discrimination? No Surprise: HRC Playi...
