LGBT activists pressure blood banks to play along with their games…putting your health at risk

Van Levy is a 31-year-old balding and bearded man from San Diego. At least, according to his picture and your eyes, he is. These days, you are supposed to disbelieve what you actually see and instead put on the ideological blinders helpfully provided by the LGBT elites, which will help you to see precisely what you are allowed to see. According to Van Levy, he has no gender at all, instead of identifying as the mythical category of “non-binary,” which roughly translates to “neither.” The state of California, like 8 other states, has decided to permit an “X” option on their government identification rather than the simple “M” or “F” for male or female. Van Levy has chosen to reject so-called traditional categories and additionally does not use any pronouns at all. Now, we could ignore all of this and let Van Levy live his delusions if it were not for the fact that he is attempting to force his game of make-believe on everybody else. In this specific case the mainstream media is reporti...

Homosexual activist sues to have gay Frenchmen donate blood on demand

Canada’s tainted blood scandal of the 1980s could be getting a sequel in France if a new lawsuit before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) is successful. In 1997, Justice Horace Krever released a landmark commission report on systemic failures in Canada’s blood donation system that allowed approximately 2,000 Canadians to become infected with HIV from tainted blood in the 1980s. The report attributed the crisis to a variety of factors, one of which being the decision to import plasma acquired from high-risk populations in the United States. Despite this history, 48-year-old Laurent Drelon has filed a discrimination suit challenging France’s requirement that gay men abstain from sex for one year before donating blood, Yahoo News reports . The French Council of State upheld the rule last year. The one-year rule is itself a compromise from the country’s previous rule banning homosexuals from donating blood at all. But Drelon and his lawyer still find it intolerable. PLAYING W...

Federal government considering letting gay men donate blood despite huge rise in HIV rates

Image
W ASHINGTON, D.C. , December 5, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The federal government is considering changing its lifetime ban regarding blood donations from sexually active homosexuals. The news comes less than a week after the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that in 48 states men who have sex with men (MSM) represent the  majority of HIV/AIDS sufferers . Today members of the HHS Advisory Committee on Blood and Tissue Safety and Availability will be hearing  seven presentations  on the issue. The committee  declined  to change the policy in 2010. Existing policy bars men who have had sex at least once since 1977 from donating blood for life, due to the high risk of exposure to HIV/AIDS.  Other countries , such as Spain and Italy, have lifted their bans. Australia, Brazil, Japan, and Britain have a one-year deferral after sex. Canada has a five-year deferral policy. The nation's major blood bank organizations – the American Associa...

Canada poised to partially lift ban on gay men giving blood

OTTAWA, Ontario, November 28, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Canadian Blood Services ( CBS ) has revealed that it is about to exchange the lifetime ban on homosexuals donating blood for a deferral system. According to  a plan  submitted to Health Canada, men who have not had sex with other men for somewhere between five to ten years would be eligible to donate. CBS spokesman Ron Vezina  told the Edmonton Journal  that the organization is convinced that it has sufficient evidence to support a change from a permanent prohibition to a deferral. Canadian Red Cross had put the ban in place in 1983 after thousands of Canadians were infected with HIV and hepatitis C from contaminated blood. Criminal charges were laid against several doctors, blood products companies, and the Canadian Red Cross. The current blood prohibition  states : “All men who have had sex with another man, even once, since 1977 are indefinitely deferred. This is based on current scientif...

Image via Wikipedia Nation's blood supply facing new danger -- stiff political pressure to change rules regarding homosexual blood donors Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) and Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL) leading the charge TAKE ACTION: See numbers to call below POSTED: July 28, 2011 In 1985 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)  instituted a rule that homosexual men may not be blood donors. The FDA had determined this was necessary after a rash of innocent people received HIV infections via blood transfusions. Many other countries, such as Canada, also have instituted those restrictions. The reasons are clear. As the  National Journal  observed this week: Men who have sex with other men, including gay and bisexual men, have an HIV infection rate 60 times higher than that of the general population, the FDA says. They have an infection rate 800 times higher than first-time blood donors and 8,000 times higher than the rate of repeat blood donors. Tests cannot pick up a new HIV infect...
