UNICEF homosexual indoctrination of kids

Image
Fifty angry Christians picketed UNICEF 's office near the UN during the just-completed Commission on the Status of Women , a UN conference where pro-lifers won a major victory. The complaint against UNICEF is that the UN children's agency joined a global campaign to promote "comprehensive sexuality education" that critics say promotes controversial ideas for children like abortion, masturbation, and homosexuality. UNICEF, that has long come under criticism from social conservatives, signed onto something called "International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education " that calls for children to be able to "describe male and female responses to sexual stimulation," and "summarize key elements of sexual pleasure." The UNICEF-endorsed document also mocks the idea of abstinence and, according to Family Watch International, sponsor of the UNICEF protest, and "distorts" the notion that children should delay and even avoi...

UN’s radical agenda pushes sex, LGBT education starting in kindergarten

Image
The United Nations published new “comprehensive” sex-ed guidelines for schools, taking its cues from Planned Parenthood to help teachers instruct kindergarteners in LGBTQIA + ideology and practice. The U.N. Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization ( UNESCO ) revised and renamed its 2009 “Comprehensive Sexuality Education ” (CSE) document, pushing contraceptive-based sex ed in what  the New American  calls “a full-blown assault on parental rights and traditional morality” that “could devastate a generation of young people.” Despite the objections of various member states, the “ International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education ” takes U.N. abortion promotion a step further, indoctrinating children in pro-abortion, pro- homosexuality , pro-transgenderism, and pro-fornication propaganda starting at age five.   Critics say these sex-ed standards  sexualize kindergarten children  and advocate masturbation, abortion, gender confusion...

Historic UN clash on LGBT rights set for November

Image
Supporters of LGBT rights at the UN are preparing for the most important vote on their agenda since 2008. In November the UN General Assembly must decide whether to approve a controversial new UN post to enforce special new rights based on the sexual preference and behavior of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) . Literally paving the way to the opening of this year’s debate, a crosswalk traversing 1st Avenue from the US mission to UN headquarters was painted with a rainbow flag so that world leaders would have to tread it on their way to the UN headquarters last week for the opening of this year’s General Assembly. The Human Rights Council established this unprecedented mandate of “independent expert on violence and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity” through a resolution that narrowly passed this June. The mandate has already  escalated the tension  within the United Nations over...

The LGBT juggernaut threatens the very existence of our entire human rights framework

Image
In the realm of international human rights law, major conflicts are developing today between freedom of conscience and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) policies. In these conflicts, much more is at stake than the rights of religious people. Everyone who cares about human rights for all—LGBT or not—should be concerned about the resolution of these conflicts, for the continued viability of the entire human rights framework hinges on their outcome. Conscience occupies a place of paramount importance in international human rights law for at least two reasons. First, our endowment with conscience and reason is the foundation of the human rights system. Second, conscience has also been the engine of human rights activism—from the abolition of slavery to the condemnation of genocide. Because the architects of the modern international human rights system had a high view of conscience, both as evidence of human dignity and as a faculty for discerning moral truth, they i...

Gays fail once more at UN

Image
A paragraph about sex education in a resolution on the rights of children stalled debate in the General Assembly on Tuesday and forced a vote on the resolution, which has traditionally been adopted consensually. Europeans and Latin Americans sponsoring the resolution could not be swayed, and insisted throughout the weeks leading up to the vote that the resolution on children must contain a specific prescription for “comprehensive evidence-based education on human sexuality,” and no alternative would satisfy them. Delegations implored the sponsors of the resolution to show “sensitivity” and to recognize the lack of consensus to no avail as they tried to avert the vote altogether. The preferred terminology of the sponsors has been controversial at the General Assembly for over a decade, but has become even more controversial since the World Health Organization published controversial guidelines for Europe in 2010 it with an aggressive model of comprehensive sexuality educ...

Ireland abandons its children - again to homosexual marriage

Image
Ireland has written a social suicide note and we grieve for her. But we will not follow her. More than half the Irish have voted for homosexual marriage , seduced by celebrities to violate something they once held sacred: the life between mother, father and child. From today, the Irish Constitution assumes a mother does not matter to a baby, and a father is irrelevant to his son. That is madness. A constitutional right to same-sex marriage means a constitutional right to same-sex adoption and surrogacy, and that means motherless and fatherless families are now enshrined as an ideal in the Irish Constitution. Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny said the vote was “Yes to love” -- but there are children who will never know the love of their mother because of Friday’s constitutional amendment. He said it was “Yes to inclusion” -- but it deliberately excludes children of same-sex couples from “the natural and fundamental group unit of society”, which is how the Universal Declaration o...

Feelings without facts lead to failure: Discussing ‘equality’ at the UN

Image
New York City is brimming over with lots of debate and interesting rhetoric at the United Nations . It’s the 59th session on the  Commission on the Status of Women  and, strangely, a lot of the conversation has less to do about women and more to do about LGBT activism and the right to kill other humans (aka abortion). I had the privilege of speaking on a panel entitled: “ Living Cooperation: Sexual Rights and Religious Rights at the UN”  (listen to the audio here). It was moderated by the Reverend Patricia Ackerman, professor of Women’s Studies at City College of New York . Reverend Ackerman ardently supports abortion-on-demand and LGBT “equality” as evidenced by her signed endorsement of this disturbing  Religious Declaration on Sexual Morality, Justice and Healing . The panelists were evenly divided into two distinct ideological camps. The pro-life/pro-family organizations represented were  The Radiance Foundation  and the  Center for Family...
