‘Medical scandal’: JK Rowling again criticizes transgender contagion in new tweetstorm

Image
J.K. Rowling has once again turned to Twitter to warn about the dangers of pushing transgenderism on children, writing, “it feels as though we’re on the brink of a medical scandal.” On Saturday the liberal  Harry Potter  author, who has successfully shaken off attempts at “cancellation” for her pro-child, pro-woman stance, returned to Twitter to bring attention to scholarly articles questioning the wisdom of allowing children to proceed immediately to so-called gender transition.  “‘NHS identity clinics have been functioning as if acting outside the ordinary requirement of good medical and psychiatric practice,’” she tweeted, quoting a former associate director of the Tavistock Clinic in London, Marcus Evans.  “Some may dismiss this paper by experienced psychoanalyst @marcusevanspsych, but they do so at their own peril.” Rowling linked to Evans’ paper, “ Freedom to think: the need for thorough assessment and treatment of gender dysphoric children....

Harry Potter stars contradict J.K. Rowling on transgenderism, womanhood

Image
Two more former Harry Potter stars whose careers were built on the works of J.K. Rowling have affirmed their support for transgenderism after the author defended the concept of womanhood. Actor Rupert Grint, 31, best known for his portrayal of Harry Potter’s friend Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, made a statement to Britain’s establishment newspaper last week supporting the idea that men can be women, and vice versa.  Anybody can make an assertion like this but would fail in biology, common sense and an understanding of the human body. “I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers,” Grint told The Times of London.    “Trans women are women. Trans men are men. We should all be entitled to live with love and without judgment.” Except of course when these men who dress as women beat women in sport - totally unfair.  Grint’s remarks have been described as another shot in a “war” between the young acto...

J.K. Rowling hints at immoral homosexual relationship in new Harry Potter prequel

Image
Harry Potter   author J.K. Rowling suggested that the series' new prequel film   Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them   will feature a same-sex relationship between prominent characters. In 2007, Rowling said she always viewed Albus Dumbledore , the wizarding school's wise, gifted headmaster, as gay. Dumbledore is a Gandalf -like character and mentor to the series' protagonist. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them  will feature Dumbledore "as a younger man and quite a troubled man," Rowling said at a press conference on Thursday. "As far as his sexuality is concerned ... Watch this space." "He wasn't always the sage," according to Rowling, "We’ll see him at that formative period of his life." She said there will be "lots to unpack" in Dumbledore's youthful friendship with one of his contemporaries, who later turns evil. Rowling suggested the sequel to  Fantastic Beasts   and Where to Find Them...

50 shades of grey

Image
The trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James, has now sold well over 20 million copies in the United States and Canada . The total number has reached more than 31 million in the rest of the world. It’s the Harry Potter sales phenomenon all over again. We have no interest in promoting this type of degrading literature, but bestsellers do indicate, if nothing else, what our culture values. Bestsellers can be viewed as a window into understanding our post-modern culture and ourselves. James’ erotic tale with the huge number of sales makes the unstated message clear: our society has become obsessed with exploitive, self-gratifying sex and the degradation of the human person as a commodity. This book celebrates greed, profits, pride and the objectification of people. In short, sex sells and perverted sex sells even more. If this were not true, nobody would want to want to write, read and buy what is in fact pornography. Playboy and its sister have already proven the marketing succ...
