UK government admits 'inappropriate' to argue Bible 'offensive' in case against Christian street preacher

Image
CASE TOSSED OUT AGAINST CHRISTIAN STREET PREACHER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED HOMOPHOBIA The government of the United Kingdom acknowledged it was "inappropriate" for state prosecutors to argue in court that parts of the Bible are "simply no longer appropriate in modern society and […] would be deemed offensive if stated in public." The Wessex Area of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) had made such an argument while attempting to convict Christian street preacher John Dunn of a hate crime earlier this year, according to a press release from the London-based Christian Legal Centre, which represented Dunn. Prosecutors argued that Dunn, a 55-year-old British army special forces veteran who has preached openly for 15 years in the southwestern English town of Swindon, was guilty of hate speech when he offended some members of the public by denouncing homosexuality. The case against Dunn, which could have seen him slapped with a criminal record, was tossed out last month after ...

Woman sues Fuller seminary after she was expelled for lesbian marriage

Image
The progressive culture says marriage is an institution between two consenting adults, no matter their gender. But Christian culture has yet to capitulate, continuing to abide by the biblical vision for marriage being between one man and one woman. Now, a Texas woman who was set to graduate from Fuller Theological Seminary is suing the school for discrimination after they expelled her last year for marrying another woman. The plaintiff — Joanna Maxon of Fort Worth, Texas — was nearing the completion of her masters of arts degree in theology at the California-based seminary when she received a letter in the mail notifying her that she had been expelled from the school for violating the school's sexual standards "I was approaching the end and looking forward to graduation and all that stuff," the 53-year-old woman told NBC News. "To have that taken away unexpectedly — I was a really good student — I was devastated by it." According to the Los Angeles ...

"Homosexuality is not an illness and therefore does not need therapy," Spahn told the Berlin daily die tageszeitung. I do not believe in these therapies, mainly owing to my own homosexuality," said Spahn, who represents the right-wing of Chancellor Angela Merkel's cons...

University upholds study finding children do better with straight parents than homosexuals

Image
A Texas university has determined that “no formal investigation is warranted” against a professor who published a rigorous study this summer finding that children of heterosexual parents fare better in many respects than children of homosexual parents. The University of Texas at Austin announced this week it would not pursue allegations against associate sociology professor Mark Regnerus an article published in the journal Social Science Research in July. The announcement came in response to LGBT activist and blog author Scott Rosensweig, who had accused Regnerus of crafting a study “designed so as to be guaranteed to make gay people look bad, through means plainly fraudulent and defamatory,” and of “harbor[ing] anti-gay prejudices” because he is Catholic . The study unearthed alarming disparities between the two family models, from suicide attempts and unemployment rates to sexual abuse . One statistic found children of lesbian mothers are nearly 12 times as likely to say...

Same-Sex Marriage is Second-Class Marriage

Image
Since the election in November, religious conservative have been encouraged by God in their battle against LGBT sin. Through various avenues now coming into view they are pointing out that same-sex marriage is second-class marriage because it is biological, historical and barren contradiction. LGBT are blind to these simple facts. With Neil Gorsuch , Trump’s Supreme Court nominee,  Christians are encouraged that hving rejected arguments by a transgender prison inmate seeking medically necessary hormone treatment, and backed religious exemptions in the Hobby Lobby case he will do likewise in the future. In the states, bathroom bills (and other anti-equality bills) are still abounding . And a concerted effort is also well underway to chip away at immoral homosexual marriage . This is a good thing.  We’ve seen an effort to do this regarding immoral homosexual marriage being correctly and legally challenged with “religious liberty” bills in the states, allowing for busin...

Honest Homosexual marriage debate - that gays want to bury

Image
Most Australians love Jesus ’ teaching that we should “do unto others”. It’s a good thing to do. Jesus’ teaching that “no man has greater love than that he lay down his life” is seen as a very good thing. You’ll find it set in stone on lots of ANZAC monuments in our towns and suburbs. And Jesus’ teaching on marriage is something we all respect too: “What God has joined together, let no one tear asunder”. We all somehow know that’s right. Jesus said that the way marriage has been from the beginning is that a man leaves his mother and father, he is joined to a woman and the two become one flesh. So faithfulness is a good thing. Enduring together is a good thing. And a partnership between people of the opposite sex is a good thing. We shouldn’t tear apart a good thing that God has put together. Once this was obvious stuff for Australians. Now Australians are hearing voices say marriage isn’t about a man and a woman; that gender doesn’t matter at all to marriage. A new definition of m...

‘Blatant discrimination:’ Christian B&B owner fined $80K for refusing gay ‘wedding’ continues fight

Image
The Illinois Human Rights Commission has ordered a Christian businessman to pay two homosexuals $30,000 because he declined to host their gay "wedding." A panel of three commission members refused to hear an appeal from TimberCreek Bed and Breakfast owner Jim Walder, who in 2011 turned down a gay couple's request to celebrate their "union" at the Christian-owned business on religious grounds. In addition to the $30,000 that Walder was ordered to pay for causing emotional distress, he is responsible for more than $50,000 in attorney fees. Two of the three commission members on the panel were publicly involved in gay activism and/or were openly homosexual, according to Walder.   "The fix was in from the get-go," Walder said.  He plans to appeal to the full commission. The small business owner told   The Christian Post   that "to host gay marriage" violates his "sincerely-held Biblical belief that marriage is between o...

Christian web designer bombarded with 'vile' emails following same-sex marriage lawsuit

Image
A Christian web designer says her email inbox has been inundated with "vile" and "hate-filled" messages since she filed a lawsuit in the US, challenging state law concerning same-sex marriage. Lorie Smith claims legislation in Colorado could be used to force her to create websites promoting same-sex marriages if she also produces content celebrating the union of one man and one woman. She said: "Since filing a lawsuit to protect my First Amendment rights on September 20, I have been bombarded with many messages about my case. Some have been supportive, but many more have been hate-filled and deeply unsettling." The case, brought by Smith and her studio, 303 Creative, is being supported by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a Christian legal organisation advocating for the right to freedom of faith . ADF senior counsel, Jeremy Tedesco, said: "Artists shouldn't be threatened with punishment for disagreeing with the government's preferred...

Australia: Homosexuals allowed to adopt children in Victoria

Image
Gay and lesbian couples are now allowed to adopt children in Victoria. Adopted abandoned children will now be joined to disordered couples who will bring their sinful immoral influence over these children. From Thursday, all couples will be able to adopt regardless of their sexuality or gender identity under changes to the Adoption Amendment (Adoption by Same-Sex Couples) Act 2015. This means that transgender males who dress as females will be permitted to adopt.  IMMORAL TWISTED PARENTAL ROLE MODELLING Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said the changes would increase the number of families applying for adoption and will mean orphans have a better chance of being matched with the best possible family. These orphans will suffer under this new immoral regime.  'This law brings much needed certainty for many children and their parents who currently live in a legal haze in terms of their relationships with the people they love.' Andrews ignores latest scientific resea...
