Aussie Safe Schools NOT safe but LGBT agenda

Image

Eternity has been looking for some Christians who respond to the public rather than talking amongst ourselves. Here’s two of the better responses we’ve found. What I’d say to the public about Safe Schools, by Nathan Campbell Rule two in public relations is understand your key message — your contribution to the public — and stick to it. Rule three is understand your audience; this requires listening to your ‘public’ before speaking, and specifically the ‘public’ who are listening because they have a vested interest in the conversation; in this case, the LGBTIQA community and their advocates. Rule four is understand how to communicate your message to your ‘public’ — our neighbours — on this basis. Christians worship Jesus . This changes how we see the world, including how we see our neighbours. This change only comes ...

Some history on Australian Politicians pushing their homosexual agenda against the wishes of many

Image
Kevin Rudd (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Nine politicians in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly tried to legalise homosexual marriage on behalf of all Australians. The nine were a predictable Labor-Green alliance and were opposed by eight Liberals. And also this week the Labor-Green government in Tasmania tried and failed to revive its recently rejected bill for same-sex marriage. A political party is in terminal decline when common sense amongst its leaders is no longer common. Throughout recorded history, common sense has understood that marriage is not just about adults – it’s about the needs and rights of children, too. Not so with new Labor, whose leaders have succumbed to the adult-only narcissism of “marriage equality”. Union leader Paul Howes told the Labor party this month “you do not belong with us” if you oppose the “fair go” of letting two men marry. But nowhere in his speech was there any consideration of a fair go for children created within such...

Bigotry slander abuse - what next?

Image
Gay Couple with child (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) WE ALL know that you don't have to be the same to be equal. And yet same-sex marriage lobbyists propose the only way they can be equal is to be legally the same as married couples . The latest attempt to change marriage legislation by fatigue is in Noosa , where local resident Robin Bristow has taken aim at the Mayor and the CEO because they have declined to enter the same-sex marriage debate. THE OTHER SIDE: SOAPBOX- IGNORE THE ADS, SAME-SEX COUPLE MAKE GREAT PARENTS Mr Bristow claims this is bigotry and has promised to start a national campaign, including demonstrations outside council. He is quoted as saying, "get ready for the confetti, rainbow chalk and television cameras". Noosa Council CEO Brett de Chastel has rightly pointed out to Mr Bristow that marriage is a Commonwealth issue, and the focus of the Noosa council is on local government issues they actually have jurisdiction over. Apart from this issue being a...

Homosexual marriage - referendum vs Plebiscite vs Change Constitution

Image
English: Tony Abbott in 2010. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Any referendum questions on marriage must canvass the consequences of change, allowing a free and open debate, Australian Christian Lobby Managing Director Lyle Shelton said today. “This debate can’t continue with television networks like Channel 7 and Channel 10 refusing to run innocuous advertisements putting the other side of the argument,” Mr Shelton said. “The word ‘bigotry’, used again by journalists on social media last night, must be dropped from the public discourse so that there is complete freedom to put the alternative view.” Mr Shelton said the Prime Minister Tony Abbott ’s floating of a referendum or plebiscite next term of Parliament gave breathing space for ordinary Australians to be allowed to know what is at stake. “Any referendum questions must canvass the harms to freedom of speech, religion and conscience raised by the Australian Human Right’s Commission’s ‘freedom commissioner’ Tim Wilson ...

Warren Entsch introduces homosexual marriage bill with warning over 'divided nation' but it will divides anyways

The ABC reports: Government backbencher Warren Entsch has introduced a bill to legalise same-sex marriage in the lower house, despite knowing it is highly unlikely to go to a vote before the next election. In his address to parliament Mr Entsch warned of a "divided nation" unless gay marriage is legalised. "The main purpose of this bill is not a complex one. It is to give same-sex couples in Australia the same right to marry the person they love as that which is currently only granted by law to heterosexual couples," he told the chamber. What Entsch doesn't understand if his legislation is approved the nation will STILL BE DIVIDED "This bill is designed to promote an inclusive Australia, not a divided one. A divided nation is what we will be if we continue to allow discrimination in relation to marriage on the basis of a person's sexuality." Entsch Homosexual marriage bill contains no safeguards for anybody or organization that disagr...

Same sex marriage madness becomes intolerant

The same-sex marriage debate entered a new phase of intolerance with Labor voting to expel parliamentarians who advocate man-woman only marriage. In two Parliaments time , Labor MPs and Senators who vote against redefining marriage will be expelled from the party. Australian Christian Lobby Managing Director Lyle Shelton said this was devastating for the millions of ethnic, indigenous and religious Australians who will never support a state-imposed redefinition of marriage . “Sadly this is a cynical ploy to force the Coalition to drop its policy on marriage when Labor’s real agenda is one of intolerance to its own who dissent. “If this is the principle Labor forces its people to comply with, what will be the out-working of this principle on dissenters when it is next in power? “Will there be freedom of conscience to choose not to provide services to same-sex weddings ? “Will Christian, Muslim and Jewish schools be allowed to teach children a definition of marriage that the party...

Australian Church Leader addresses the weak Same-sex 'marriage' arguments

The campaign to redefine marriage has recently gained such momentum – with now three and soon four bills before the Commonwealth Parliament – that many think it is inevitable. This can leave those with misgivings feeling that they are already losers in a done deal. Some think it is the inexorable progress of liberty and equality – which leaves the doubters on “the wrong side of history.” In this context supporters of classical marriage are presumed to have no real arguments to offer. So here I want to offer some reasons – not decrees from on high or from the past, not expressions of hatred or prejudice – but reasons I hope anyone can understand. I also hope these reasons prove persuasive and helpful in proclaiming and witnessing to true marriage among families, friends and colleagues. Regardless, I hope this will help explain why Australian law has always held, and many people still hold, that marriage is for people of opposite sex. I will examine five common slogans in this debate –...
