School bans Be Happy Not Gay t-shirt
Image via Wikipedia On Tuesday the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit issued a ruling which may have far-reaching implications for freedom of speech in schools as the issue of same-sex ‘marriage’ is debated in the United States . “[A] school that permits advocacy of the rights of homosexual students cannot be allowed to stifle criticism of homosexuality ,” the 7th Circuit’s opinion reads. The case revolved around the Indian Prairie School District, which prohibited high school students from expressing their religious views about homosexual behavior on t-shirts.
