Some history on Australian Politicians pushing their homosexual agenda against the wishes of many

Image
Kevin Rudd (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Nine politicians in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly tried to legalise homosexual marriage on behalf of all Australians. The nine were a predictable Labor-Green alliance and were opposed by eight Liberals. And also this week the Labor-Green government in Tasmania tried and failed to revive its recently rejected bill for same-sex marriage. A political party is in terminal decline when common sense amongst its leaders is no longer common. Throughout recorded history, common sense has understood that marriage is not just about adults – it’s about the needs and rights of children, too. Not so with new Labor, whose leaders have succumbed to the adult-only narcissism of “marriage equality”. Union leader Paul Howes told the Labor party this month “you do not belong with us” if you oppose the “fair go” of letting two men marry. But nowhere in his speech was there any consideration of a fair go for children created within such...

Will the ABC Online present balanced reporting on the Homosexual Marriage debate?

Image
ABC chairman Jim Spigelman has sought to defend the national broadcaster against attacks from "conservative" critics, announcing a number of external audits to assess any bias in its reporting. If you look at the ABC Online "Analysis and Opinion" section every articleon Homosexuality is pro-homosexual in content and emphasis. Arguments against Homosexuality and homosexual Marriage are not presented anywhere in any of these opinion pieces . The numbers are staggering with regards to reporting homosexual events and contents in the news with no contrary views that most Australians hold. The spokesman for Marriage Equality is constantly being quoted and reported. This is beyond bias this is promotion of a lifestyle that is a choice, or fluid as one ABC article stated. The ABC decided that homosexuality is a human right. No articles appears that state homosexuality is an offence and sin against God. Even the reporting of the huge street marchers against homose...

Born gay with gay genes?

Only nine politicians in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly voted last week to legalise homosexual marriage on behalf of all Australians. Homosexual marriage sank like a stone

Image
"Sank Like a Stone" — that's how same-sex marriage faired in Australia this past week. Australia held elections for Prime Minister the other day, but it was as much a referendum on whether the Aussies would redefine marriage or not. Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd nailed his hopes of winning to a promise of introducing legislation to redefine marriage within the first 100 days of returning to office. As was reported , the pro-marriage platform of the former Prime Minister "sank beneath the waves" of the pro-marriage majority down under. You may remember I had traveled to Australia in August for the World Congress of Families , and I could not be happier for the friends I made on that trip and our pro-marriage and family allies there. It's a great victory for marriage, and a win worth celebrating across the globe. It also serves as a reminder that when people are given the right to vote on marriage, they invariably vote to preserve the true and...

Australia needs a referendum on redefining marriage

Image
English: Tony Abbott in 2010. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) September 10, 2013 ( Mercatornet.com ) - Same-sex marriage was a big loser in Australia ’s election over the weekend. Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd sank beneath the waves with his rainbow colours nailed to the mast. Rudd began his campaign to unseat the incumbent PM, Julia Gillard , back in May with a born-again conversion. He promised that he would introduce a bill within 100 days of being re-elected and made gay marriage a centrepiece of his pre-election campaigning. Astonishingly, on the very threshold of electoral annihilation, he gave an interview to The Australian in which he insisted that same-sex marriage was his Christian responsibility. "It was not simply a question about policy but about my fundamental qualifications to be called a Christian,"  he said . Perhaps in Mr Rudd’s inner-city seat of Griffith in Brisbane fervour for same-sex marriage was running high. Perhaps outspoken support was ...

Christian Politician's unintelligent unbiblical homosexuality argument

Image
A video of Australian Prime Minister , Kevin Rudd , has gone viral, as a Christian pastor asks the Prime Minister, who supports homosexual “marriage” and also identifies as a “devout Christian,” why he doesn’t believe what the Bible says about the sinfulness of homosexuality.  You can hear his response here: There’s a lot to address in his response. Al Mohler has already responded to the Prime Minister’s speech in his September 3 rd  episode of “The Briefing,” which you can (and should) listen to  here . His treatment of this issue starts at around the  14:30  mark. Andrew Courtis provides a a transcript of portions of Mohler’s response  here . But I notice that Mr. Rudd makes a lot of the same arguments that we’ve actually already sought to address here at the Cripplegate (too bad he’s not a reader; we could have cleared all this up ahead of time!). And so I’d like to adapt the answers we’ve given to Rudd’s presentation above, not becaus...
