Chick-Fil-A's signature chicken sandwich (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Jesuit-run  Fordham University  has buckled to protests led by an LGBTQ student group and will not allow Chick-fil-A to do business at a campus eatery due to past comments by the chicken fast-food company’s CEO supporting natural marriage. NEW YORK, April 15, 2013 ( C-FAM.org ) - After considering several religions, Sid Thompson changed his name to Daayiee Abdullah and converted to Islam at 30. He adopted the title Imam after developing the group Muslim Gay Men to dispute that the Qur’an rejects homosexuality. The professors’ statements come at the same time that Pope Benedict  has emphasized  to U.S. bishops that reform of Catholic universities in the United States is the “most urgent challenge” facing the Church in the country. The pope told U.S. bishops who were visiting Rome recently that a lack of progress towards reform has created confusion by “instances of apparent dissidence” between academics and the bishops. “Such discord harms the Church’s witness and, as experience has shown, can easily be exploited to compromise her authority and her freedom,” he said. The issue of religious freedom is at the top of the American bishops’...
