University prohibits ‘microaggressions’ against homosexuals and transsexuals

Image
Jesuit-run Georgetown University has instituted a policy allowing people to make anonymous tips against anyone they regard as having said something insensitive to their minority status, an offense known as a “microaggression.” The policy includes “microaggressions” against people based on their “sexual orientation” or “gender identity or expression,” making a possible target of Christians, Jews, Muslims, and others who reject LGBT ideology. The policy is being implemented by Georgetown’s medical school, whose “Office of Diversity and Inclusion” has posted a page entitled “What To Do About Microaggressions” on its website, and has initiated a propaganda campaign for the policy using posters placed on campus. The definition of a “microaggression” given by Georgetown is so vague and general that it appears that virtually any behavior or even circumstances in the environment might be interpreted as constituting the offense. Religious Freedom amendments introduced in NSW Australia

Image
Today the Rev the Hon Fred Nile , for the Christian Democrat Party, introduced a Bill to add “ religious beliefs or religious activities” into NSW legislation as a prohibited ground of discrimination. The proposed  Anti-Discrimination Amendment (Religious Freedoms) Bill  2018 will add new Parts 3B and 5A into the  Anti-Discrimination Act  1977 (NSW) (“ADA”), making it unlawful in various areas to discriminate on the grounds of religion, or to subject religious bodies to a detriment. The proposals will also make it unlawful to penalise someone for holding views on marriage as the union of a man or a woman, or for holding the view that there are only two genders. The CDP is a minority Party in the NSW Parliament, and the Bill is a Private Member’s Bill , so it is not clear whether it will be fully debated, let alone enacted. But it is an interesting and worthwhile proposal which may lead to clarity in the future on the need for changes to the law of NS...

Gay Aussie couple sue printer for sending religious pamphlets instead of wedding programs

Image
Australian homosexual couple  were excited to see the homosexual wedding programs they ordered for their immoral  gay wedding . But when the package arrived, the gay couple also found Christian pamphlets with messages about homosexual temptation and gay sin.  The immoral sinful unbalanced homosexual couple are so upset that a Christian would insert biblical truth into the box that they are taking a federal lawsuit against printing company Vistaprint - to teach people a lesson! The lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday in Massachusetts , accuses Vistaprint of attacking, abusing, vilifying the couple because they're gay by replacing their wedding program order with the biblical truth about homosexuality - which they conveniently call - "hateful and discriminatory."   WHY ARE HOMOSEXUALS EASILY HURT AND OFFENDED AND SELF-RIGHTEOUS? The two homosexual men have a unrighteous immoral agenda.  "Their goal is to hold Vistaprint accountable fo...

Christian pro-family leader wins five-year battle against ‘frivolous’ LGBT lawsuit

Image
A federal district judge yesterday dismissed a leftist lawsuit against Christian pro-family advocate Scott Lively , who was  sued for “crimes against humanity”  for helping political and faith leaders in Uganda resist the LGBTQ agenda in the east African nation. Massachusetts District Judge Michael Ponsor, in a ruling laced with harsh pro-homosexual attacks on Lively, nevertheless dismissed the SMUG ( Sexual Minorities Uganda ) LGBT lawsuit against Lively — five years after it was filed with the help of the far-left Center for Constitutional Rights ( CCR ). Ponsor cited a 2013 (unanimous) U.S. Supreme Court   ruling  that the Alien Tort Statute did not apply to international claims as the reason for dismissing the lawsuit. The Christian-defense legal group assisting Lively,  Liberty Counsel , heralded the ruling but chastised Ponsor for failing to dismiss the case earlier and for lacing his decision with extremist, pro-LGBT rhetoric demonizing L...

Archdiocese was within rights to fire gay music minister, judge rules

Image
A federal judge ruled in favor of the Archdiocese of Chicago and one of its parishes in a lawsuit filed by a former employee claiming discrimination for being fired after publicly announcing his same-sex “engagement” in 2014. Colin Collette  was fired from Holy Family parish in Inverness in July 2014 after he had worked there for 17 years as music director and director of worship.  He refused a request by his pastor to resign  after his “engagement” with his male partner was made known on social media. The late Cardinal Francis George was archbishop at the time. The archdiocese  said  when Collette was fired that those working in Church ministries, including worship ministers, are expected to conform their lives publicly with the teachings of the Church, and that “This is a matter of personal integrity on their part.” Citing the ministerial exception, U.S. District Judge Charles P. Kocoras granted the motion for summary judgment sought in the...

ACLU sues Kim Davis, Kentucky county to recoup $233K in legal fees from gay ‘marriage’ license battle

Image
The American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky (ACLU) filed a federal lawsuit last Monday against Kim Davis and Rowan County , demanding $233,058 in expenses for suing to force Davis to sign her name to same-sex "marriage" licenses. The Rowan County clerk is called a hero by some and a villain by others after she refused to sign homosexual "marriage" licenses in 2015 because she sincerely believed that doing so would imply her consent and participation in something the Bible deems sinful.   U.S. District Judge David Bunning incarcerated Davis for a week, jailing her for "contempt" because she held to her religious convictions.   After serving the jail time, Davis took the names of county clerks off the licenses. She was granted that accommodation, first by the governor's executive order and then by legislation. But that did not satisfy gay activists, and the -  ACLU sued to force Davis to violate her conscience by issuing the old mar...
