What is God's punishment for homosexuality?

Image
Augustine on Romans 1 and homosexual sin - a mind darkened / depraved - open to sin even more. “The very matter,” says [Paul], “of sin is its punishment , if the sinner is so much weakened that he commits more sins.” He does not consider how justly the light of truth forsakes the man who transgresses the law. When thus deserted he of course becomes blinded, and necessarily offends more; and by so falling is embarrassed and being embarrassed fails to rise, so as to hear the voice of the law, which admonishes him to beg for the Savior’s grace.  Is no punishment due to them of whom the apostle says: “Because that, when they knew God , they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened?”  SPIRITUAL DARKENING This darkening was, of course, already their punishment and penalty ; and yet by this very penalty—that is, by their blindness of heart, which supervenes on the withdrawal of the light...

New Zealand stats: No need to change marriage definition to include sinful homosexuality

Image
Three years on from the definition of marriage being changed, statistics show that the demand has been insignificant, and has had to be boosted by overseas couples which represent almost half of all same-sex ‘marriages’ during this period . There have been 58,540 traditional marriages of NZ residents during a three-year period since the law was changed 1. Same-sex marriages during that time for NZ’ers were 1,422 representing just over 2% of total marriages – despite claims of a huge demand for same-sex marriage. During the same three-year period, there were 1,260 ‘tourist’ same-sex ceremonies (47% of total same-sex weddings in NZ) and 7,437 ‘tourist’ marriages (only 11% of total opposite-sex marriages.) ““Supporters of redefining marriage have had to rely on ‘marriage tourism ’ to justify the change. The demand for same-sex marriage has been underwhelming. The time, energy and cost of political resources around redefining marriage simply weren’t warranted or legitimate. Politici...

First openly gay Episcopal bishop says he is divorcing his husband

Image
Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire at Trinity Church, Columbus, Ohio,  The first openly gay Episcopal bishop, who became a symbol for gay rights far beyond the church while deeply dividing the world's Anglicans , plans to divorce his husband. Bishop V. Gene Robinson announced the end of his marriage to Mark Andrew in an email sent to the Diocese of New Hampshire , where he served for nine years before retiring in 2012. Robinson would not disclose details about the end of their 25-year relationship but   wrote Sunday   in the Daily Beast that he owed a debt to Andrew "for standing by me through the challenges of the last decade." "It is at least a small comfort to me, as a gay rights and marriage equality advocate, to know that like any marriage, gay and lesbian couples are subject to the same complications and hardships that afflict marriages between heterosexual couples," Robinson wrote. "All of us sincerely intend, when we take our wedding...

Rainbow politics - child abuse in schools

Image
Australia: The NSW government has ordered an investigation into the Education Department’s launch of an official teaching resource that urges teachers to “de-gender” their classroom language and promotes activities that encourage students to think about sexuality as “non-binary”, or existing on a continuum “like temperature or the weather”. Education Minister Adrian Piccoli yesterday ordered his department to withdraw the sexual and gender diversity resource for teachers, which appears to have been heavily based on the Safe Schools program. Alerted to its existence by  The Australian , he said he was “very angry” the resource had “got out”. “I have directed the department to take it down immediately and review the material and all links,” he said. “Safe Schools materials are only to be used strictly in accordance with the revised guidelines established by the federal government. I am furious this policy has not been adhered to and have demanded a full explanation...

Australia: Politician Warren Entsch has no argument to support immoral Homosexual marriage

Image
Delaying a plebiscite on same-sex marriage is in danger of becoming a moot point for the Turnbull government. Unless it can win over Labor, any enabling legislation for a popular vote looks like going down in the Senate. Australian Federal cabinet, meeting in Canberra on Tuesday, is considering advice from electoral authorities that recommends against a plebiscite before February next year. Labor, the Greens, three senators from the Nick Xenophon Team and independent Derryn Hinch all oppose a plebiscite and their combined vote is enough to scuttle government plans in the upper house. The Australian population want to be able to vote on this immoral issue. Having watched other countries, Australians know that the LGBT agenda will not stop at marriage. It is brutal with LGBT people using courts and police to enforce their worldview. Fines, jail sentences, companies shut down due to LGBT pressure. "The plebiscite is pointless," Greens leader Richard Di Natale said. The Gre...

Pushing gender ideology on kids is child abuse: pediatricians group

Image
“Facts – not ideology – determine reality,” the American College of Pediatricians (ACP) said in a warning to legislators and educators about the dangers of surgical and medical sex change operations to children. “Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse,” the physicians said, “Rates of suicide are twenty times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery, even in Sweden which is among the most LGBTQ – affirming countries.” The group, which aims at getting parents involved in their children’s health and education about health, said,  “Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one,” and that, “A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.” To the contrary, the group maintain...

Scottish Catholic Church denies supporting ‘mandatory’ LGBT activist school program

Image
The Catholic Church in Scotland is flatly denying that it is lending its support to advancing a pro-homosexual curriculum in Catholic schools, despite secular as well as gay news sources claiming the opposite.  Last month Herald Scotland published a piece showcasing what it called a “radical new school curriculum which will put LGBTI issues at the centre of education.” The curriculum is being developed and campaigned for by a pro-homosexual organization called Time for Inclusive Education (TIE). According to the Herald the curriculum “would be the first in Europe to put LGBTI - lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex - children on an equal footing with heterosexual pupils.” TIE is aggressively campaigning to make the curriculum mandatory.   When the Herald asked the country’s Catholic Church if it supports the teaching of LGBT matters in Catholic schools, it reported its findings as follows: The Catholic Church has also indicated support for TIE, insisting ther...

Australia: Why gay marriage will take away your right to free speech

Image
Gay marriage remains a threat to freedom of speech. The Tasmanian Government’s announced changes to the Anti-Discrimination Act fail to remove the threat of fines for people who disagree with gay marriage. Australian Christian Lobby Managing Director Lyle Shelton said a “religious purposes” test had nothing to do with the right of free speech in the context of the marriage debate. Mr Shelton said Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgeman’s “religious purposes” test amendments might help in church or a mosque, but the debate about marriage is about public policy, not religion. “Speaking publicly about the definition of marriage and the rights of children, wherever possible, to be loved and raised by their mother and father has nothing to do with religion,” Mr Shelton said. “It has everything to do with free speech and the ability for all Australians to be allowed to participate in the public debate without being hauled before a government commissioner, as Hobart’s Archbishop Julian Porteou...

Australia: Gay Politicians

Image
Australia: Tim Wilson enters parliament with a high national profile from his time at the Institute of Public Affairs and a stint on the Australian Human Rights Commission. The core of his political philosophy, he gives an answer about creating a “free society where people can live their lives and pursue opportunities and enterprise”. Standard response, okay so far. Regarding his homosexuality he says  “It has increased my strong view that society should respect the individual. When people are treated as a collective ... that’s when you get demonisation, stigmatisation and corrosion of individual rights.” Wilson cites the criminalisation of homosexual acts as an example of the evils of “public collective morality”. Let's get this right. The criminalization of homosexual acts were evil? People didn't feel that way for thousands of years...so something must have happened? The only problem with his logic is that the Bible outrightly condemns homosexual and lesbian act...

Australia: Orphans kids rights smashed by homosexual marriage

Image
The recent announcement by the Palaszczuk Government to allow single people and same-sex couples to adopt orphaned children ignores society’s obligation to provide them with a mother and father. “It is not like there is a shortage of married couples who cannot have children who would gladly provide orphans with the stability and nurture that comes from an adoptive mother and father,” the Australian Christian Lobby’s Queensland Director Wendy Francis said. “By removing supposed discrimination against LGBTI Queenslanders and single people, a new discrimination against children was being created. “This is particularly worrying because many of these children have already been dealt a blow in life,” Ms Francis said. “They are, through no fault of their own, without biological parents, and are in need of a new permanent family. To deny them a mother’s love, or a father’s care, is compounding their loss. “As we know, and social science proves, it is in the best interests of a child to expe...

Obama Transgender Directive Draws Lawsuits From More States

Image
States were warned that they could lose federal funding if they required transgender people to use bathrooms corresponding to their biological sex. Ten states including Nebraska, Michigan and Ohio sued the Obama administration on Friday, saying the federal government does not have the power to tell states that transgender people must be allowed to use public bathrooms that conform with their gender identity. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, takes issue with a May 13 letter sent by the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Education to states warning them that they could lose federal funding if they required transgender people to use bathrooms corresponding to their biological sex. The lawsuit says the Obama administration’s move was an attempt to rewrite federal civil rights laws that do not apply to transgender people. It was filed by the attorneys general of the 10 states, which also include Arkansas, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota...

Australia: A planned plebiscite on gay marriage would unleash the type of hateful views behind the Orlando mass shooting - The Greens

Image
Traditional marriage groups have slammed comments by Labor and the Greens linking a national vote on same-sex marriage to the deadly Orlando mass shooting. Opposition Leader Bill Shorten backed away from associating a plebiscite with gay hate crime on Saturday, after earlier making reference to the mass killing, but he said he was concerned "ugly arguments" would emerge. But the Greens say there's "no question" the murder of 49 people at a gay nightclub proved hateful views persisted in the community. Greens leader Richard Di Natale used "vile" online comments in response to the Orlando attack as evidence those attitudes were shared by some Australians. "A plebiscite will unleash those voices of hate in the community," he told reporters in Sydney on Saturday. "And we give those views legitimacy by endorsing a plebiscite." It's a view the Greens had held consistently since the national vote was announced, he said. The opposit...

There Is No ‘Third Homosexual Way’ — Southern Baptists Face a Moment of Decision (and so will you)

Image
Southern Baptists will be heading for Baltimore in just a few days, and the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention is to be held in a city that has not hosted the convention since 1940. This time, Baptists attending the meeting will face an issue that would not have been imaginable just a few years ago, much less in 1940 — a congregation that affirms same-sex relationships. Just days before the convention, news broke that a congregation in suburban Los Angeles has decided to affirm same-sex sexuality and relationships. In an hour-long video posted on the Internet, Pastor Danny Cortez explains his personal change of mind and position on the issue of homosexuality and same-sex relationships. He also addressed the same issues in a letter posted at Patheos.com. In the letter, Cortez describes a sunny day at the beach in August of 2013 when “I realized I no longer believed in the traditional teachings regarding homosexuality.” Shortly thereafter, he told his 15-year-old ...

Australia: Senator quits unable to support immoral homosexual marriage

Image
West Australian Labor senator Joe Bullock has announced his shock decision to quit parliament less than two years into his six-year term, saying he could not remain a member of a party that would force him to support gay marriage. Senator Bullock, an outspoken opponent of same-sex marriage, will leave Parliament within weeks. Openly gay former WA senator Louise Pratt will nominate for the vacancy. The Labor party now is filling with immoral homosexual crusaders bent on destroying traditional marriage and forcing Christian Churches to marry homosexuals. Senator Bullock, 60, told the Senate his resignation was caused by the decision at last year’s ALP conference to require Labor MPs to support same sex marriage by removing a conscience vote . He said he walked away from the conference “shocked and alone”. “How can I in good conscience recommend to people that they vote for a party which is determined to deny its parliamentarians a conscience vote on the homosexual marriage...
