Drag queen who reads to kids in libraries is a convicted child abuser

Image
When I wrote a detailed analysis of “Drag Queen Storytime,” a program featuring drag queens reading to children that are popping up all over the continent, the Huffington Post mocked the idea that a rational person could have legitimate concerns.  Another publication referred to me as “furious,” even though the column was factual rather than fire-breathing. But I am interested in what defenders of this program have to say to the news that the Houston Public Library has just been forced to publicly apologize and then ban a drag queen they had invited to read to children for Drag Queen Storytime when it was revealed that he had been previously charged for sexually assaulting a child. Albert Alfonso Garza, a 32-year-old man who was last seen reading to children at the Montrose Library in September of 2018, goes by the drag queen name Tatiana Mala-Niña.   The library did not do a background check on Garza or on any of the other cross-dressers it invited in to interact wi...

Condemning Homosexuality is practicing discrimination and this is wrong

Image
The AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power, a group against AIDS, protests in New York City against the Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Discrimination is not automatically bad. I discriminate on the kinds of foods I eat, on the programs I watch, and what movies I let my kids see. In fact, we all discriminate. We all have criteria by which we judge what is and is not acceptable. I discriminate against child molesters , and I will not let them be with my children unattended. I discriminate against various theological teachings that contradict the  Bible . I discriminate all the time and so do you. When it comes to homosexuality , I believe that  God  has condemned it as a  sin  (Rom. 1:18ff). But my agreeing with God that homosexuality is a sin is not the same as discriminating against homosexuals. I have no problem working with homosexuals in a secular environment. I have no problem with homosexuals being my neighbors. I have no pr...

Gay Bullies reveal names from petition

English: Annise Parker, Houston Mayor. Español: Annise Parker, la alcaldesa de Houston (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Backers of a Houston city ordinance banning discrimination based on “sexual orientation” and “ gender identity ” have published the names of 31,000 pro-family citizens who signed a petition opposing the ordinance because they believed it violated freedom of religion and conscience. The city council passed the  ordinance , which applies to companies with 15 or more employees, in May with the support of openly lesbian Mayor Annise Parker . The council voted 11-6 in support and Parker signed it on May 28. Due to "a public emergency" being declared in Section 6 of the ordinance, it was to take effect on June 28. However, the No UNequal Rights coalition -- led by city religious leaders -- argued that the issue should be put to voters this fall. On July 3, they sent a petition with more than 31,000 signatures to the city secretary, far more than the minimu...

Is Mozilla a ‘hostile working environment’ for Christians, pro-family leaders ask

Image
HOUSTON, TX , April 25, 2014  – A coalition of pro-family organizations and leaders have said Mozilla Corporation has created “a hostile working environment” for those who hold to traditional Christian teachings about sexuality and asked the company to clarify whether "all pro-marriage, pro-family, pro-life, and religious employees and talent” must “vacate the company." In a letter sent in early April, the coalition – including the conversion therapy group Homosexuals Anonymous – explained that the forced resignation of Brendan Eich as Mozilla's CEO had caused the organizations to consider Mozilla's commitment to "an inclusive, safe environment embracing and defending diversity." Brendan Eich, former CEO of Mozilla Citing public statements by Mozilla before and after Eich's resignation, as well as press reports, the letter says that "Mozilla has opted to inappropriately include in their workplace the irrelevant and often fluid private ...

Southwest Airlines promotes immoral homosexual agenda

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Time to expose the radical corporate giving priorities of Southwest Airlines – including Southwest’s role as a major funder of the annual homosexual activist “Creating Change” conference put on by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) . Creating Change, which begins today in Houston, Texas , promotes: the “homosexualization” of Christianity; extreme transgender activism including laws allowing transgender “girls” and “women” (read: boys/men in dresses) to use female restrooms; pro-homosexual/transgender programs in schools (even for very young students); and sadomasochism . Creating Change is the organizing event for more than 3,000 LGBT (lesbian, “gay,” bisexual and “transgender”) activists across the nation – with “how to” workshops on: Redefining Christianity with pro-h...

Texas judge rules homosexual man can’t leave his child alone with same-sex partner

Image
Image by Office of Governor Patrick via Flickr HOUSTON, TX , September 28, 2011 – A Texas judge has ruled that a homosexual man cannot leave his children alone with his sexual partner . Harris County Associate Judge Charley Prine, Jr. issued the injunction in June, although it was only signed earlier this month. The injunction was issued after William Flowers sought to change a 2004 custody arrangement with his ex-wife over their three children. Flowers had three children with his ex-wife, Lacey. When Flowers and his ex-wife divorced in 2004, his wife was awarded custody and Flowers was given regular visitations. In 2010, Flowers, then a practicing homosexual, “married” his homosexual partner in Connecticut. His partner has two children. When Flowers recently sued for custody of his three children, a jury found that his ex-wife should keep the kids, though his regular visitations would continue. In an injunctive section, however, Judge Prine ordered that Flowers cannot leave...
