Virginia school board seeks to shut down parents criticizing pro-LGBT policies

Image
An influential U.S. school district is shutting down the ability of parents to give feedback on controversial policies such as its gender identity policy, concerned parents are saying.  The Fairfax County School Board (FCSB), serving one of the busiest suburbs of Washington D.C. , is in the process of introducing  new restrictions  for parents making comments during board meetings.   Among the restrictions parents have expressed concern about are rules that commenters may only speak about what the board allows on its agenda, banning anyone from speaking except the few who have previously signed up, and disallowing commenters from sharing speaking time. Ever since the FCSB ushered in a transgender policy allowing boys in the girls’ toilets, changing rooms, and showers in 2015, over 100 parents have barraged board meetings with criticism of the policy.  Comments include not only concern about the policy itself, but that it was enacted quickly ...

Kids locked into devastating homosexual lifestyle

Image
If kids are looking for a way out of their same-sex attractions , they’ll have to start outside of the DC - nation’s capital. Under a measure just passed by the D.C. Council , counselors can lose their license just for offering the kind of therapy these children seek. Like California and New Jersey , the District is radically opposed to helping young people shake the unwanted sexual feelings they have for members of the same sex. It’s all part of the new Conversion Therapy for Minors Prohibition Act, which makes it a crime for therapists and mental health practitioners to coach children out of the sexual confusion they’re experiencing. Council member and author Mary Cheh insists that the District’s move is “a crucial step in the long battle” against “the counterproductive anti-homosexual mindset.” The fact that children are seeking this help doesn’t seem to matter to D.C., which is intent on locking kids into a lifestyle with devastating health, emotional, and societal consequenc...

Why are LGBT intolerant and violent?

Image
L GBT extremists did everything in their power to prevent us from completing the #FreeSpeechBus tour to promote a national conversation on the biological nature of gender – including engaging in violence, property damage and acts of intolerance, as well as coordinating with anarchist groups – but I'm pleased to say that we overcame them and completed the tour this morning in Washington, DC. NOM joined with CitizenGO and the International Organization for the Family (IOF) to sponsor the tour as a way of provoking a national discussion about the biological truth of gender and to hit "pause" on the headlong push by the left to redefine gender based on "identity" and "feelings." Throughout the tour we encountered the ugly side of the LGBT movement, which repeatedly engaged in violence and assault, and inflicted substantial property damage, in a failed effort to derail the bus tour. Shockingly, we also discovered the deep coordination that ex...

Pro-homosexual man wanted to kill all workers at pro-marriage organization

Image
WASHINGTON ( WJLA ) -The man who planned a mass shooting in the headquarters of the Family Research Council, a conservative lobbying group, was sentenced to 25 years in prison Thursday. Continue reading Prosecutors asked that Floyd Corkins spend 45 years in prison. But Corkins' lawyer said his client was mentally ill when he entered should pray to Him everyday because not only did God save my life that day, He saved yours too." Prosecutors replayed Corkins' FBI interview, where he said his plan was to "kill as many people" as he could. They also showed Corkins buying the weapon days earlier, which just happened to be captured by French TV doing a story on guns.  “A security guard’s heroism is the only thing that prevented Floyd Corkins II from carrying out a mass shooting intended to kill as many people as possible,” said U.S. Attorney Ron Machen in a statement. “Our entire community is thankful to the hero who stood up to this heinous...

It’s time to protect religious liberty in the marriage debate

Image
April 15, 2014 ( Heritage ) - For years, a central argument of those in favor of same-sex marriage has been that all Americans should be free to live and love as they choose; however, does that freedom require the government to coerce those who disagree into celebrating same-sex relationships?   A  growing number of incidents  demonstrates that the redefinition of marriage and state policies on sexual orientation have created a climate of intolerance and intimidation for citizens who believe that marriage is the union of a man and a woman and that sexual relations are properly reserved for marriage. Now these citizens are facing a new wave of  government coercion and discrimination . State laws that create special privileges based on sexual orientation and gender identity are being used to trump fundamental civil liberties such as freedom of speech and the free exercise of religion. Consider the case of Barronelle Stutzman, owner of Arlene Flowers...

Ruling stands against Christian photographer who declined gay ‘wedding’, Supreme Court declines case

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C., April 7, 2014  — The U.S. Supreme Court Monday has declined to hear  Elane Photography v. Willock , the case of a photographer who was told by the New Mexico Supreme Court that she must, as “the price of citizenship,” use her creative talents to communicate a message with which she disagrees or suffer punishment. Nonetheless, Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing Elane Photography and its owners, Jonathan and Elaine Huguenin, point out that the central concern in the case—government punishment of Americans for declining to create or promote messages with which they disagree—is alive in other ADF cases moving forward around the country. Elaine Huguenin, co-owner of Elane Photography in Albuquerque, N.M. “Only unjust laws separate what people say from what they believe,” said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Jordan Lorence. “The First Amendment protects our freedom to speak or not speak on any issue without fear of punishment. ...

World Vision Richard Stearns should be sacked for introducing grave immoral homosexual sin

Image
World Vision 's American branch will no longer require its more than 1,100 employees to restrict their sexual activity to marriage between one man and one woman. Abstinence outside of marriage remains a rule. But a policy change announced Monday [March 24] will now permit gay Christians in legal same-sex marriages to be employed at one of America's largest Christian charities . In an exclusive interview, World Vision U.S. president Richard Stearns explained to Christianity Today the rationale behind changing this "condition of employment," whether financial or legal pressures were involved, and whether other Christian organizations with faith-based hiring rules should follow World Vision's lead. Stearns asserts that the "very narrow policy change" should be viewed by others as "symbolic not of compromise but of [Christian] unity." He even hopes it will inspire unity elsewhere among Christians. [Editor's note: All subsequent references...

Republican candidate Carl DeMaio gay zealot not conservative

Image
It's a beautiful summer day in southern California . Throngs of people line streets as paraders march by. They include transvestite brides (men in wedding gowns) who strut their stuff. Nearby a float with bare-chested, heavily muscled men in tight underwear that leaves nothing to the imagination hold hands and dance on a rolling stage as rainbow flags fly behind them. Not far away women kiss other women and tattooed men embrace, pulling their half-naked bodies tight to each other. A confused-looking child watches this scene unfold as she holds a 'we celebrate diversity' sign, not exactly the type of plaything we'd expect innocent youngster to cling to. In their midst the candidate walks down the street holding the hand of his gay lover. He waves at the crowd and smiles approvingly. These are his people, and he is at home. Who is he? He's Carl DeMaio . A homosexual activist who calls himself a Republican. And he wants to be a Member of Congress . Carl DeMaio ...
