UK: Why does PM support sodomy?
Britain marked the 50th anniversary to recognize homosexual sin by acknowledging that all of society was wrong to treat homosexuals as criminals. The 1967 Sexual Offenses Act allowed sex between two men over 21 years of age “in private,” which excluded places such as hotels. The legislation initially covered only England and Wales, and was expanded to Scotland in 1980 and to Northern Ireland in 1982. The law did not apply to women. Laws against "gross indecency" and "buggery" — which were used to prosecute immoral homosexual men — remained on the books until 2004. Homosexual marriage became legal in England, Wales and Scotland in 2014. It is still banned in Northern Ireland. A ban on homosexual men and lesbians serving in Britain's military was lifted in 2000.
