United Nations targets Churches on their homosexuality stance

Image
The push to redefine marriage and the family and thereby to de-gender society on the whole  always  ends up targeting religious individuals or groups for abject discrimination. You see, this radical agenda is its own kind of "orthodoxy" and dogmatism, and doesn't brook competition: it is intolerant of any "heresy" and insists on either converting or condemning absolutely — with no room for negotiation. Humanity, as made in God's image, "male and female," will be remade according to their own imaginings — genderless, sexless, role less — and the meaning of marriage written on our hearts will be scribbled over with nonsense. In their minds, it's as if the Creator made marriage to cause harm to gays and lesbians and to punish them with a cruel attack on their basic human dignity. It does not ever occur to them that marriage is a profound public  good  that greatly benefits men and women, and especially their children. But in this most recent...

Anybody can see that homosexual marriage is wrong

Image
Marriage, we are told, is a secular institution. For devout Christians , this is offensive, as all sexuality outside the bond of marriage is a perversion of that which is holy. But do not be distracted. Gay marriage makes no sense even as a secular institution. We know it to be immoral by the Word of God, but it is also immoral by any standard that considers the rights of children . Throughout cultures and history, heterosexual monogamy has been favored because it is the best way to nurture human children. Pagans knew this, and today’s secular literature affirms it also: Children in homes with married biological parents do better than all others. (Of course, there have been exceptions. Some dark cultures have embraced innocent children as special targets for evil.)  Presumably, secular humanism wishes to preserve the centrality of the well-being of children in the institution it claims (correctly) is not exclusively Christian or sectarian. But does American secularism-reall...

UK gay ‘marriage’ bill ignores children’s right to a mother and father: campaign group

Image
The needs of children of a father and mother are being ignored in favor of the putative “rights” of homosexuals in the rush to pass the same-sex “marriage” bill, a family campaign group has said.  The coalition government’s same-sex “marriage” bill is being considered in a committee of the House of Lords started today after being passed “in principle” in an overwhelming vote of 390 – 148 in favor.  Gay Marriage , No Thanks says it is aiming “to put the wellbeing of children at the centre of the same-sex marriage debate.” The group called  Gay Marriage, No Thanks , an “informal group of professionals and parents,” said today that the bill is entirely “adult focused” and ignores the human right of children to be reared by both natural parents. The group says it aims “to put the wellbeing of children at the centre of the same-sex marriage debate.”  The group has taken out an ad in the Times addressed to the members of the House of Lords that laid out ten r...

Slovenian court: referendum challenging same-sex ‘marriage,’ adoption law can proceed

Image
LJUBLJANA ,  - A referendum initiated by the Slovenian Civilian Initiative for Family and the Rights of Children (CIFRC) challenging the Slovenian Family Code adopted in June 2011, which gives same-sex couples the right to ‘marriage’ and adoption of children, was approved by the Slovenian Constitutional Court on December 27, 2011. “The Constitutional Court announced it had rejected the parliament’s request to stay the referendum on the controversial family law , meaning that the referendum will be held if the proponents manage to collect the requisite 40,000 signatures,” Ales Primc, head of the CIFRC, told LifeSiteNews. With the ruling from the court, pro-family forces will begin collecting signatures again this week. Mr. Primc explained that the government, alleging that the referendum campaign would be “undemocratic and intolerant,” had asked the court for a ruling on the constitutionality of the referendum in September. “We are very happy to be able to resume the collecting ...
