Did Israel Folau actually misquote the Bible? Hell, no

Image
John Tait B.Sc (Ed), M.Theol is a Melbourne writer and states in the Sydney Morning Herald :  Did Israel Folau actually misquote the Bible? Hell, yes John then gives us his credentials:  "As a former biblical studies major, and now agnostic it annoys me when Christians distort a biblical passage to preach their message"  What is John talking about?  John claim is this: Israel Folau has twisted Galatians 5:19-21 to say homosexuals will go to hell.  John then makes a second claim:  "Those who defend Folau by saying that he is just quoting the Bible are wrong. He is doing more than just throwing biblical quotes around. He is misusing this biblical passage by projecting judgments about homosexuality and "modern" beliefs about hell into it." Did Israel twist Galatians 5:19-20 to include homosexuality? What do these verses say? Galatians 5:19-20 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcr...

Disney Refuses To Cut Gay Part Of 'Beauty And The Beast'

Image
Disney has stated that its upcoming live-action “ Beauty and the Beast ” “has not been and will not be cut” to remove a gay scene that is controversial in Malaysia . Disney has always intended to push the homosexual agenda into every country.  State censors had reportedly cut the scene and approved the film for release, but reports surfaced Monday that the film’s release had been delayed in the Muslim-majority Southeast Asia country, suggesting interference by the studio. Earlier this month, director Bill Condon told a U.K. publication that Gaston’s sidekick LeFou, played in the film by Josh Gad , has “confused” feelings for his friend . Condon characterized one scene as a “nice” “gay moment” in the film. In the U.S., news of Gay Disney’s first openly (to audiences, anyway) character sparked some discussion. Emma Watson , who plays Belle, praised Gad’s “subtle” performance in a recent interview, using a word uttered by many involved in the film to caution viewers against e...

Gay PayPal founder’s RNC speech to further muddy waters on Trump’s agenda

Image
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump continued to send mixed signals on social issues in the days leading to his formally accepting the party’s nomination on Thursday night. After the GOP   adopted   what has been   called the most pro-life and family platform   in its history — including rejecting last year’s Supreme Court decision redefining marriage along with Barack Obama’s transgender bathroom edict — an openly gay tech investor will take the stage to speak just before Trump’s appearance closes the convention. Billionaire Silicon Valley entrepreneur Peter Thiel, a delegate from California, is one of Thursday’s three   headliners   scheduled before Trump’s speech. Thiel , the co-founder of PayPal and the first outside investor in Facebook, is known as a libertarian politically, and   according   to   Inside Philanthropy , he was a donor to the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER), a nonprofit organization esta...

Christ transforms gay man

Until 2013, Greg Lake worked for the Australian Immigration Department as a director of various Immigration Detention Centres, including Christmas Island and Nauru . He continues to work with government to help build stronger diversity and refugee policies. Greg attends Seaforth Baptist Church on Sydney ’s northern beaches. He recently announced on Facebook that for as long as he can remember he’s been more attracted to men than women. Eternity caught up with Greg, to find out more. Why have you decided to go public with this now? People who know me well already knew that this has been something I’ve lived with for a long time, and they knew that it isn’t in the top ten things that define me. I guess I’m just at a point now where I don’t feel like there’s people left in my life who I need to have told personally before it just becomes publicly known, and it’s not something that I feel like is a big feature, so why not? This is an issue the church has to confront more today...

Malawi’s bishops blast gvmt for caving to foreign pressure on abortion, homosexuality

Image
Malawi 's Catholic bishops made their strongest statement yet against an abortion bill being considered by legislators, of the nation of over 17 million, linking it to a parallel push to legalize same-sex "marriage" supported by the U.S. and international agencies. "We are deeply concerned about new trends in our society that promote a culture of death instead of a culture of life through the abortion campaign," the bishops stated in a March 13 pastoral letter. "Because of that, the family and the institution of marriage between man and woman are under direct attack from those campaigning for homosexual rights and homosexual unions." The bishops led their lengthy statement decrying the poverty gap and the political culture of corruption and waste, but they focused on the current bill, which would grant virtual abortion on demand, providing exceptions to the current century-old law, which calls for a penalty of up to 14 years in prison but ...

Scotland trains 60 policemen to fight LGBT hate crime

Image
Scottish police and homosexual advocacy groups are combining to train 60 officers as LGBT - hate crime specialists in an apparent effort to increase the number of hate crimes reported.  The move has raised concerns over the possible criminalization of any criticism of homosexuality. Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality told LifeSiteNews, "Everyone is against hate and violence against homosexuals or anybody else. But are they setting up a politically correct hierarchy of victims with homosexuals at the top?" According to the Equality Network , which will be training LGBT liaison officers for the Scottish police, there were 841 "sexual orientation aggravate crimes" in 2015 and 21 "transphobic" crimes. The press release adds, "there is said to be evidence of significant under-reporting." In evidence, the charity reports on a survey of LGBT Scots indicating that half had seen or been victims of "prejudice or di...

UN agency includes ten year old boys in definition of gay behavior

Image
The UN family planning agency ( UNFPA ) drifted further into controversial territory with a new report on HIV and sexually transmitted infections among men who have sex with men – and boys. UNFPA’s  report  implies that promiscuity and dangerous sexual practices are a pervasive part of the male homosexual experience, a charge that the Southern Poverty Law Center would label as “hate” if it came from a conservative Christian group. At the same time, the report ignores the fact that having multiple sexual partners, especially multiple concurrent partners, greatly raises the risk of infection. The advice it offers for changing sexual behavior is limited to using condoms and lubricants. UNFPA begins with a definition of MSM as “men who have sex with men,” and “should be understood to include young men, i.e. those in the age range 10–24 years.” While MSM is generally considered to be a behavior rather than an identity, UNFPA includes those “who experience sexual attract...

Homosexuality is often seen as the worst of sins. But, what does the Bible say?

Homosexuality is often seen as the worst of sins. But, what does the Bible say? 1. Any sin is enough to condemn to eternal Hell Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s command. They ate something God told them not to, and billions of people will end up burning in Hell because of it. That should give us a small idea about God’s holiness and how He views sin. James 2:10-11 is clear. Any sin puts us in the category of being law-breakers. We are criminals, and we will be judged. By nature and by choice, we all deserve Hell. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it. 11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. However, notice that James 2:10-11 does not affirm what many claim it does, that is, that all sins are identical and that if you’ve committed one sin, you’ve committed them all. James does not say, “If you do not commit ...

Baptist Convention stands tall on marriage

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) agreed that marriage is God-created and is exclusively between one man and one woman. Five thousand delegates from the largest Protestant denomination in the U.S. passed a pro-natural marriage resolution last Wednesday, entitled, "On The Call To Public Witness On Marriage." Their annual convention, called "AVANCE 2015," met at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Ohio. "God in His divine wisdom created marriage as the covenanted, conjugal union of one man and one woman," the joint statement began, then quoting both Old and New Testament scriptures, as well as the words of Jesus, to back up their claim. The statement recognized "the biblical definition of marriage" as a heterosexual union lasting "for a lifetime." The official document then described marriage as "God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman...the framew...
