LGBT prefer death than Christian Doctors

Samaritan’s Purse doesn’t serve to get praise. And that’s a good thing in places like New York City, where radical liberals refuse to give it any. Even now, after treating 315 patients in its field hospital in Central Park, the news that the Rev. Franklin Graham’s work might soon be done was the only thing some liberal council members felt like celebrating. Instead of gratitude, their message to the charity is simple: Get out. And don’t come back. Mount Sinai Hospital, who’d partnered with Samaritan’s Purse to bring more help to downtown New York, announced over the weekend that the virus crisis may finally be manageable enough for area facilities to handle on their own. New patients, it explained, would be admitted to area hospitals. Still, it insisted, no one could thank Graham’s volunteers enough. No one, it seems, except people like Democratic New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson. In a tweet that same day, he tried to kick the group on the way out, insisting that...

LGBT advocates threaten to kill pastor over Bible workshop for sexually confused girls

Image
A pastor of a Detroit -area church along with his family have received death threats, arson threats, and bomb threats from LGBT advocates after advertising a Bible-based workshop for teenage girls struggling with their sexual identity. “A whole bunch of people have come up with this idea that we are offering some sort of conversion-therapy workshop,” Metro City Church Pastor Jeremy Schossau explained on a Feb. 5 YouTube video about the backlash to his church's program titled “ Unashamed Identity .” “As a result of that, we’ve had an unbelievable backlash on social media filled with hate and vulgarity,” Schossau continued. “People have literally threatened to kill me and my family, to burn our house down, to burn our Church down, to assault the people of our Church and our staff,” he said. At one point, the church was receiving as many as 40 voicemail messages a minute from critics of the program. The pastor received messages on social media such as: “Kill y...

Tasmania: Definition of offence in hate speech laws gags freedom of expression

Image
LAST year I sent out a teaching document, prepared by the Australian Catholic Bishops, on the nature of marriage to the Catholic community in Tasmania. For this I was cited by the Anti-Discrimination Commissioner for a possible breach of the Anti-Discrimination Act. I was simply doing my job of ensuring those in the Catholic community understood the Church’s position on marriage and its importance for our society. Christians have been presenting the essentials of this teaching since the very beginnings of the Church. Yet after 2000 years such teaching is now considered by some to be offensive, in such a serious way as to require an agency of the Tasmanian Government to seek to suppress it. I welcome the recent announcement from the Attorney-General that the Government is to amend the Anti-Discrimination Act, in particular to give greater protection for freedom of religion. This will be a significant change. Freedom of speech ... should only be limited for the most serious of reasons...

Edmonton Catholic board replaces gender-bending policy, but new one still undercuts the faith

Image
The Edmonton Catholic School Board passed a new gender policy on Tuesday in a 5-2 vote that appears to please no one. The policy, while a big improvement on their earlier one, still misrepresents Catholic teaching, while also enraging LGBTQ activists. The page-and-a-half document is a major revision of an  earlier September proposal  which would have allowed boys who identify as female into girls’ change rooms and to play on girls’ sports teams.  The revised policy, however, simply states that the board is committed to providing “all students” with a “fully inclusive school community” and an “environment that is free from discrimination of any type including but not limited to discrimination based on race, color, gender identity , gender expression, age, physical, and mental characteristics, nationality, sexual orientation , family status, or marital status.” The policy states in its preamble that since “all children are unique, loved by God , and created in...
