Gay celebrity Perez Hilton appears to harm himself months after planning Catholic reversion

The original videos were quickly taken down by TikTok, but not before video clips and screenshots circulated on social media late Tuesday night into early Wednesday. They appear to show Hilton in extreme distress, naked and covered in blood from head to toe after purposefully injuring himself.

The images are too gruesome to be shared by LifeSiteNews. Some immediately wondered if he was under severe spiritual attack following his newfound faith. Others suggested that Hilton is just one more pop culture celebrity engaged in displaying themselves drenched in blood. 

The 48-year-old blogger and his three children, obtained through surrogacy, reside in a home which is also occupied by his mother. None of the children was in the home at the time of the hours-long incident. 

First responders arrived on the scene after the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls about the troubling livestream. Hilton was then transported to a local hospital for observation and treatment.

According to People, Miami authorities received reports of a “possible suicide” around 6:51 p.m. Tuesday at Hilton’s address. People’s report continued: 

At around 10:41 p.m., the audio described a ‘suicide attempt’ at Hilton’s address, during which police requested assistance from fire services. His home was described as an ‘active police scene.’ Per dispatch, authorities ‘made entry’ into his home shortly after.

At around 11:30 p.m., responding units were ‘en route’ to a local hospital.

In March, Hilton took to social media to explain that amid recovering from a long, serious illness, he had encountered God, experienced conversion, and vowed to return to the Catholic Church, which he abandoned as a teen to live as a homosexual.

“My stupidity landed me in the hospital for 21 days and it was the worst and best thing that’s ever happened to me,” said Hilton.

He said that he ended up in the hospital after medications that he had been taking caused a perforated stomach ulcer, which led to sepsis, fluid in his lungs, and heart issues. Rather than begin his 25-minute tale of his harrowing brush with death, Hilton instead immediately shared his encounter with God.

“God presented Himself to me,” declared Hilton. “It was not a feeling. God presented Himself to me.”

“I grew up Catholic. I was baptised, had my Communion, Confirmed, went to Jesuit school for seven years, but I was never a believer until now,” he explained. 

Clearly choked up with emotion, he again declared, “God presented Himself to me, and then did something, something that I can only call ‘miraculous.’”

“I was very lucid; it was real,” said Hilton, “and this has been life-changing.”

“I’m so grateful. I’m excited to start taking the kids to church, and to just know that God is real,” he continued.

Hilton said that previously he had wanted to believe in God, but that he now no longer needs hope to believe “because I know now.” 

He also said that he now hopes to enrol his children in Catholic schools.

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., has long flaunted his gay lifestyle. Over the years, he has obtained three children through surrogacy: a son, 13 years old, and two daughters, 11 and 8.
