Peter Catt Anglican Priest Homosexual advocate or Apostate?
“This is one of the issues (Christians against homosexual marriage) that causes me some distress,” Apostate Peter Catt says with the sigh of a person who is clearly frustrated and weary.
“It seems to me that whenever the church falls into the trap of representing itself as the moral police for society, we sort of reduce the gospel to a whole bunch of rules and regulations, whereas I think the whole thing is about inclusion and love and justice and supporting people.”Catt a pastor for the Anglican church in Brisbane (Australia) is frustrated with Christians who believe the Bible states that homosexuality is sinful, against God's will. Catt wants to celebrate the sin of homosexuality. Christian believers are calling people to repent and turn from the sin of homosexuality. The Bible is very clear on the sin of homosexuality, but Catt wants to muddy the water with with false arguments.
Catt has been pushing the sin of homosexuality in Australia for almost 30 years. We are surprised he hasn't been dismissed from the church.
Catt says he believes that overwhelmingly, Christians do in fact support marriage equality, but that their voices are being drowned out by the hardline 'No campaigners who are not only skewing the facts to support their argument but also running the risk of doing more harm than good to the religion they claim to want to save so badly.Apart from the fact that this man is an apostate, now he lies boldly. Christians do not overwhelming support the sin of homosexuality. These Bible believers are not "hard liners" who skew the facts. What an odd description.
These Christians believe the overwhelming evidence that the Bible does not support homosexual marriage. They would prefer to stand for God view of marriage than the distorted world's view of love and marriage.
Then apostate Catt now goes further. He disagrees with Christ.
The Bible does not hide the brokenness of humanity due to sin. The Bible points them out as disobedience to the creation covenant. As examples of willful sin.
The Bible doesn't endorse these actions - they are listed as examples of sinfulness, disobedience, willful actions at times against God, his laws and his requirements.
Jesus, when asked, regarding marriage affirmed it was between a male and a female. Some Pharisees tried to ask a tricky marriage legal question - Jesus again affirmed that marriage was between a man and a woman.
Catt should be fired. But then again he is a liberal who doesn't believe in the Bible as God's word. Not sure which god he worships, if at all!

"No one clear image of what marriage looks like is presented in the Bible, there are many."The Bible does describe a variety of sexual relationships just as it describes other sinful actions, sexual behaviour of people and leaders. These descriptions are not the norms. They are examples of the result of the fall into sin and sinful choices. They are stated clearly. They are blunt. Incest. Multiple wives, concubines. Why are they listed in stories?
