Homosexual Marriage supporter MP promises religious freedom.....for the moment
Education Minister Simon Birmingham has rejected claims that faith-based institutions will be harassed and coerced into complying with new views on same sex marriage. But there is no legislation to back up this statement at all? After 10 years of homosexual marriage in Canada a new very left government is closing faith schools that teach homosexuality is a sin. Canada now forces Catholic schools to have homosexual clubs where gay men come and talk about homosexuality. Tradeau says - have the clubs or loose registration. So Mr. Birmingham is making a promise today but what if Labor or greens get into power?
The Catholic Archbishop of Sydney correctly claims faith-based institutions could have to operate differently and be forced to comply if a 'yes' vote is successful in the same-sex marriage survey.
Senator Birmingham says all those with traditional views will be able to operate as they do today if the vote succeeds and same-sex marriage is legalised. What legislation is he quoting? Will the Labor and the Greens support these exclusions and protections?
Catholic Archbishop of Sydney Anthony Fisher told The Australian the protections for faith-based institutions are unclear.

'I have seen absolutely no proposal that would change the operations or workings of those provisions in the sex discrimination act,' Senator Birmingham told Sky News. Perhaps he needs to look at the UK where 200 cases of believers loosing their jobs because they stood against homosexual advocates.
'That should give absolute confidence to Archbishop Fisher, church leaders, to faith-based schools around Australia that they would be able to continue to operate and teach precisely as they do today.'
Archbishop Fisher says religious schools, charities and hospitals could be 'coerced' to comply with the new view of marriage if there is a 'yes' vote in the government's postal ballot. It will appear in anti-discrimination legislation.
He has asked whether teachers will be free to follow church teaching on marriage, or whether they'd be forced to teach a more 'politically correct' curriculum. In Canada - homosexuals want to close faith schools - this is happening after 10 years of homosexual marriage under an anti-faith government led by a PM who attends homosexual pride marches.
